- In late July 2015, an arson attack on a family home in the Palestinian village of Duma, in the West Bank, resulted in the killing of three members of the Dawabshe family, the youngest of whom, Ali, was only 18 months old.
The firebombing also caused seven-year-old Ahmed Dawabshe, Ali's brother, second and third-degree burns across his body, the scars of which he still bears today.
Ahmed, who now lives with his grandfather, remains in Duma, across the West Bank border from his attackers: members of the Hilltop Youth.
Residing on outposts often neighbouring areas populated heavily by Palestinians (not to be confused with Israeli settlements) the Hilltop Youth are known for their extreme religious nationalism. Mostly made up of young people between the ages of 16 and 25, the group are followers of Kahanism; an ideology based on the teachings of the late Rabbi Meir Kahane.
Meir Ettinger, Kahane's grandson, was one of several settlers charged for the Duma murders, also known as "Price Tag" killings, alongside 21-year-old Amiram Ben-Uliel and an unnamed minor. They were all released after serving minimal prison time.
The label "Price Tag" was born from actions taken by the group to claim a "price" for any actions taken against them or their hilltop settlements by Palestinians.
I'm teaching Ahmed that you don't have to seek vengeance. That you do not have to kill. Your vengeance must be your success.

"This is how the concept of 'Price Tag' was created. It's because the government did not take revenge against our enemies," says Kahanist and settler, Moriya Goldberg.
"The people who burned the house in Duma wouldn't have done it if the state treated Arabs as enemies," says Goldberg's sister, Rut.
Although relatively small, with only several hundred members, the Hilltop Youth are known for having incited violent acts of hatred against Palestinians and Palestinian homes, mosques and churches.
They are also known for having a difficult relationship with left-wing Israelis, the Israeli army and even with Shin Bet, Israel's internal security service.
"The more nationalistic you are, the more militia-like you become. All of a sudden, every idiot at the top of the hill takes a flag, sticks it down and that's the new border of the country," says former speaker of the Knesset, Avraham Burg. "They're [the Hilltop Youth] insignificant in numbers, they are insignificant ideologically ... they are even insignificant as a crime gang. They are very significant in [how they are] dictating to the government a de facto policy - which is wrong."

The worst part of this documentary is those people who are parents themselves show no compassion at all towards this little boy who was killed.
Feel however you want about Palestinians but when someone stops feeling anything when children are dying and getting hurt is when humanity is lost. That's actually scary when they don't care anymore about innocent lives or see them as lesser than theirs. All children deserve to live safely and rhey aren't guilty of anything and I would expect from people who are parents to agree with that statement.

In the wake of current attacks on the Palestinian people, this video needs to be reissued by Al Jazeera as evidence of the recent brutal attacks on the Palestinians by the Israeli government. I think the last point said in this documentary is key. Extremists shouldn't be allowed to set the foreign policy of a nation. Because when they do and when they are allowed to do so over decades, this is the result.

I love the ending message from Ahmed's grandfather. It's a very sad and disturbing story but you can see the youth who committed the crimes are lost. It's one thing to commit the crime but to chant "Ali is on the grill" at his grandfather and then to celebrate an infant's death at your wedding. I’ve been trying to learn more about the history of Israel and occupied Palestine and one thing that I find to be shocking is that a state like Israel which prides itself on being “the only democracy in the Middle East” allows its policy to be influenced so heavily by these settler thugs. The settler criminals in this video said it perfectly themselves. “There is a great contradiction between democracy and Zionism which has its roots in Jewish law”. It’s a tragedy for the Palestinians. It sounds unintuitive to say but it’s an even greater tragedy for the Jewish people, specifically those that live in Israel. To have such a long history of oppression and insist on perpetrating such injustice and brutal oppression once you’ve finally gained any significant power and established a Jewish state will be looked back upon in a very ugly and horrifically grotesque way when historians try to understand what exactly unfolded here.
I wish for everyone involved that by some miracle this ends now.

A manual of incitement written by Moshe Orbach, an Israeli from Bnai Brak, entitled "Kingdom of Evil," which provides details on how to set fire to mosques, churches and Palestinian homes, has also been mentioned in connection with the Duma attack. In February 2016 Orbach was convicted of sedition, the first time an Israeli court has found someone guilty of that charge in the last decade.
Israeli police initially suspected that the arson was a price tag attack by "extremist Israeli settlers"; some speculated that it might have been undertaken in retaliation for the demolition by the IDF of Jewish settlement structures in Beit El, 'the flagship of the ideological settler movement,' some time earlier.
In the Hebrew graffiti, the usual signature of "price tag" (Hebrew: תג מחיר, romanized: tag mechir) is lacking, and in its stead the slogans "Revenge," and "Long live King Messiah," (Hebrew: יחי המלך המשיח, romanized: yechi hamelech hamashiach) were scrawled. The latter is the motto of the messianist wing of the Chabad-Lubavitch Hasidic movement. In addition, a resident told a reporter that he saw attackers fleeing towards the Israeli settlement of Ma'ale Efrayim. Police requested information from the public as they sought to identify the arsonists.
When suspicion fell on West Bank Jewish extremists, Morton Klein of the Zionist Organization of America alleged that Jews were being "falsely accused" of carrying out the attack, and he instead accused it as being the work of other Palestinians, as part of "an 18-year-old feud between Arab clans" in the village. Israeli Knesset member Oren Hazan, referencing a later separate fire at the house of a brother of Saad Dawabsheh that the Israeli and Palestinian authorities have reported to be unrelated to the arson attack, called for an investigation as he believed that the second fire may indicate that the arson was not committed by Israeli extremists.
Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu claimed on 30 August 2015 on Ynet that "The way of terror is not our [Jews] way". Later, he claimed; "only someone who lacks knowledge in the nuances of the religious community would make such a mistake and assume that "Tag Mechir" activists will write "Yechi Hamelech Hamashiach" ("Long live King Messiah").
On 8 September 2015, a senior Israel Defense Forces officer told the media, that Israel "know[s] unequivocally that this is an act of Jewish terror." On 9 September 2015, Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon issued a statement that said "there is a high probability that those responsible for the attack in Duma are part of a very extreme group of Jews" but that there is not yet enough evidence to arrest any suspects. Ya'alon also told a group of Likud activists that the identities of the arsonists are known to the defense establishment but that charges would not yet be brought to protect the identity of their sources. Later, Ya'alon clarified that security forces have only a "general idea" of who is responsible for the deadly firebombing attack ... calling on reporters to take a wait and see approach to the case". Ya'alon said the attack hurt the state of Israel and the settlement movement specifically. According to Sara Hirschhorn, settler rabbis and the leaders of American immigrant communities in the West Bank have been muted in their responses to the detention of suspects associated with their communities.
On 3 December 2015, it was cleared for publication that a number of Jewish suspects had been arrested in connection with the attack. The UN envoy criticized the "slow progress" in Israel's investigation.
Haaretz reported that the suspects were subjected to harsh interrogation methods after the investigation hit a dead end. According to unnamed sources, Israeli Attorney-General Yehuda Weinstein approved the use of these methods, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was not informed of this until after the fact. In response to the allegations, Deputy Attorney-General Raz Nizri met with the detainees.
On 11 December 2015, one of the suspects was released to house arrest.
Despite acknowledging that the attack was "clearly a Jewish" one, and that Israeli authorities knew "who is responsible" for it, Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon said that there is "not enough evidence" to detain or prosecute the suspects. The comments were decried by Palestinian rights groups, who noticed the swiftness of Israeli military actions against Palestinian suspects of attacks against Israeli targets, and accused the Israeli government of condoning settler violence.
On 15 December, the Israeli High Court of Justice denied a petition that the government take immediate "legal steps against the Dawabsheh family's murders".

South Africa pulled it off because of the population disparity it would have been almost impossible for all people native to the land to be removed and be supplanted by foreign inserts but that is not the case in natural Syria.
