I've never even seen a Blanton's bottle in person and today on my birthday I found a bottle for $60. It's like God said, "Happy Birthday kiddo."

Everybody hates on Blanton's these days because it's pricey and over-hunted...but it's still really damn good. I'm not surprised at all that it won out on this round.
Blantons is a solid bottle and it's more available and cheaper (in value) than most of these others. I think the hancock might be cheaper but is more rare.

Drank along with the only mash bill #2 I can actually find... Ancient Age

Although overpriced, Blanton's is just good.
Considering how friggin rare it is I think it’s priced just right, but that’s just me. They could easily add 20-30 dollars for its rarity but luckily they haven’t done that...yet. But it is quite delicious. Found a local bar that actually had some. I got some serious cinnamon notes on the finish. In the end, it’s worth it.
I agree. It’s a solid pour. Definitely overpriced at $90 where in at, but I can always get my hands on a bottle. There are just too many great ones around $50 or $60 right now to stock up on Blantons for me. I’d probably go with Booker’s most of the time over it

I am not surprised Blanton's won. Sadly, I had it for the first time recently and I was blown away. It's definitely one of my favorites.

Wow I wonder how much these particular single barrels vary! I have a RHF that is leagues above my Blantons with no dryness or bitterness, but then I also have a Blantons pick that is really great.
I will happily work with you all to design a whiskey related "whodunit" game. It will have to be designed in a way that doesn't raise any copyright/trademark issues though unless you want to pay insane fees to another company for licensing. We could figure it out though.

Interesting result. HPR is the easiest to find in SW FL, it actually hits the shelf. Blanton's can be found if you are willing to continually ask for it. ETL and RHF I have never found other than at restaurant bars.

Hancocks has one of best noses ive ever experienced. Absolutely delicious smelling but falls short on palate. Just does not translate... But its still decent.

Chad, I also get grape off of some Buffalo Trace products. I cannot speak to the mash bill #2 and BTAC due to the fact that they are unfindable in OH. The strongest grape I ever got was Colonel EH Taylor that I had a pour of at a cigar bar in NKY.
Joel Bella It got edited out for time, but I had said in this video that I was drinking EH Taylor small batch the night before and got a grape flavor.
I have as well on eht and maybe some other bt products that i cant place atm.

I have never heard of Rock Wood Farms and Hancock’s and I also didn’t found on “Buffalo Trace” website. Are they both independent bottlers who take whisky from Buffalo Trace and bottle with their own name ?

Are they product of Buffalo Trace itself, if yes than why they are not on Buffalo Trace website.

I have a bottle of Rock Hill Farms I've had for years, never opened. I doubt I'll find another bottle easily, if ever. It's a gorgeous bottle. I'm waiting to share it with my oldest son, so maybe at Christmas.
It was made to drink so drink up. Good idea to have it on a special occasion as well.

Is it me or are most BT products very muted. I recently had some Eagle Rare and it was ok but lacked character to me it was pleasant but I want more from my bourbon
Brian Morgenstern Bought an E.H. Taylor small batch, glad I only spent $40 because it is forgettable for $40. It’s been open about 6 months, hasn’t changed for the better. Cheers!🥃

Love your guys videos! Im sippin on Rhf (2016 barrel), blantons (2017 barrel), and etl (2018 barrel) right now and I def. get the dryness on rhf but the nose and flavor is amazing . Its really hard to pick a winner cause they are all fantastic!

Hi Chad and Sara! I’m new to the channel and I’ve been exploring new bourbons to try to narrow my preferences based on your reviews. The two that I really enjoy and have stood out to me are Four Roses Single Barrel and Blanton’s Single Barrel because of the “explosion” of flavors that I get, for a lack of a better way to describe it. Does this make me a single barrel guy? If so, what should I try next? I was thinking Knob Creek SB. Thank you for the awesome content!
Just picked up the RHF. I'm must say that I'm very impressed by it. Would be interesting to experience a barrel proof version of it.

@@ItsBourbonNight I'd love to see a blind tasting where you take the bottom shelf of a mash bill, the Benchmarks & AAA's, and compare them to their older cousins. It would be interesting to see how far behind in taste and complexity they really are.

My friends and I did a tasting of 10 bourbons a few weeks ago and Blantons came in 2nd only behind Bookers Country Ham. Beating out Noah's Mill, Kentucky Owl, Yellowstone and some other great whiskeys. So, I'm not surprised. Great Whiskey can have a lot of hype AND come in a pretty bottle.

It was the limited edition 101 proof. In my opinion not worth the price tag. I would pay 50-60 but not 100+
