Absolutely beautiful time lapse footage! I'm more impressed by the clouds there than in Indiana when the system came through, although low clouds often obstructed a view into the mid/upper levels.
These clouds/showers were ahead and well to the north of the center. I think the timing was a little better in Michigan. There were large breaks of sunshine in the morning that helped destabilize the atmosphere and make for some nice afternoon/evening buildups. The steadier rain near the center of the low held off until after dark, which was perfect.
Nice view of the clouds building. I posted some pretty cool footage of this is it came through Southeast Michigan. Had a decent-looking wall cloud . Didn't dump as much rain as it looked like it was going to though
That band wasn't as impressive in my area. There was a shelf, but it wasn't as good as it was in your area. It kind of split in two with a few lighting strikes far to the northwest and southeast, but none close enough to hear any thunder. I was kind of disappointed so I just went in and ate dinner. I didn't have enough battery life left to keep the time-lapse going anyways.
