Not really. 何と/Nanto largely translates to "What?!" or "How?", in this case indicating (clearly faked) surprise. Hamsuke here is playfully *pretending* to be caught off-guard, which you could have easily noticed from the inflection in her voice (or, you know, how she follows up pretending to fall over with her tail strike). He didn't either. Haven't read the manga so idk how it was portrayed there. But she was literally just toying with him lol
@@SeviathTheHumanDrago He had a chance. Gazef and Clementine could defeat Hamusuke. He's only a step below them.
@@Archedgar Oh dang he didn't seem like it based on the anime lol, how she just so effortlessly one shot and disarms him.
@@SeviathTheHumanDrago She "one-shots" him after he's taken heavy dmg which is not a one-shot. I agree though that the anime doesn't show this and it makes it look like gets hard-stomped by Hamusuke despite it being somewhat competitive.
The green leaf party that fights at the entrance of Nazarick seems like it was a bit closer than this, right? except if they had defeated the old-guarders, they'd immediately face all of the Pleiades right after. They actually had zero chance of survival. Basically this guy was the only one that had any chance to 'win' his encounter at all and he might have won if he fought more carefully.
@@Archedgar Yeah as an American finding somewhere to read the light novels is almost impossible if I'm trying to do it on my phone. So I don't know what contrasts between the 2 mediums.

Why does Ainz have a giant hamster?
Its his minion he acquired during one of his adventures in the New World.
@@Eatmydbzballs But.... doesn't it clash with his horror asthetic?

Nazarick is a fuster cluck.
0:26 That was a mistranslation. The translation sounded like Hamsuke was caught off guard, but she wasn't. The real translation in-context is something like, "Whoopsie~~".
She is *not* saying "Whoopsie I fell over", nor would "Whoopsie" be in any way an accurate translation for the word used.
@@xFallenAngel Hence why I said, "in-context". As you said, it was a faked surprise, pretending to be cornered. Nobody does fake surprise by saying, "What?" Notice the "~~" in what I said. That was a playful thing.
@@michaelsong5555 If you think nobody fakes surprise by using an actual expression of surprise...I don't even know what to tell you.
What you're thinking of, going "lol whoopsie" as someone attacks you, isn't faking surprise but rather mocking the guy attacking you...and that's not what Hamsuke does.
@@xFallenAngel In-context, "whoopsie" is far closer to what Hamu meant than "what". And in-context, Hamu dodged easily, but he was semi-mocking that guy by saying something like, "You almost had me there, kid."
@@michaelsong5555 1. Hamsuke is female. 2. While context is important (you'll find I included context as well), it generally doesn't change one word directly into another *already existing* word that's more appropriate to the situation at hand, no matter how much you want it to. 3. Hamsuke speaks in a very specific, non-standard way (archaic and formal, how a Samurai retainer would speak to their lord). The kind of nonchalant informal mocking you suppose is not something she would engage in (nor how she would phrase it).
But hey, if neither the paid translator(s) (and yes, they get stuff wrong too...but not in this case) nor I can convince you, you won't be convinced.
He is lucky that he didn't face Ainz. He got off lucky
Or demiurge he enjoyes killing slowly
Ainz would have probably gotten tired of his crap immediately and just killed him with Grasp Heart and been done with it.
I wanna see more of zaryusu scenes why he just stand there
Hamsuke is my favorite. Such an adorable giant fluff ball.
Prediction for “Super Warrior” Hamsuke in Vol. 15:
Original Martial Art: Steel Tail Buzzsaw (Basically Hamsuke spins really fast while charging forward with opponents getting ripped to shreds by its tail when they get close enough).
Dude I wish we could see more of Hami, but from what I heard Volume 15 may not even consist of Hami. We get to see the elves, even if it is for a short whole which is really amazing.
Just to note, Hamsuke is female. :)
Imagine learning a sick Martial Arts skill, only to get humiliated by a large ass hamster beast with a long tail.
If you think about it he got off easy
That's putting it mildly.
Dont mess with Wise king of the forest
I think its funny how the other parties gets killed by bugs, torture, and even lord Ainz while this guy gets the cutest character in the series 😂
I'm glad that the 3 elven slaves got their... relative happy ending. Ainz saw that the 3 elves didn't invade Nazarick of their free will, so he showed them mercy by making them be attendants of Aura and Mare. Aura and Mare treated them well, since neither are abusive (ie Albedo and Shalltear).
Btw the reason ainz and the lizard men were wearing chains was because those chains would increase the exp someone were to gain.
The Wise King of the Forest is so strong
No that’s not how elves mourn but it’s Better then what Gladiral did in the rings of power.
Which episode is it
S3 e8 or something

3x7
I imagine Hamsuke having a mort moment with the elves: "The women.... We will always treat with respect!"
この後このエルフたちがピザ無しでは生きられない身体になるとは思わんかったなぁ(笑)
Hamsuke has hanma's blood.
haha
What episode was this?
Of all the people to get bodied and then skull-splatted by a giant hamster, this was the right choice
Most embarrassing death imo, imagine this self proclaimed gazef's Equal died to an oversized hamster 😭
Well, this oversized hamster could probably take him on too
@@bertalankovacs8322 Gazef, Brain, & Clementine are actually all strong enough that all three of them *could* defeat Hamsuke. Though, granted, it wouldn't be an easy win for any of them. Clementine was actually even stronger than Gazef. Erya is roughly equal to Gazef from before he became the Chief Warrior for the Re-Estize Kingdom, so he's on par with Gazef from several years prior. So Erya is actually significantly weaker than "present day" Gazef. Hekkeran was more accurate than he realized in his assessment that the only similarity between Erya & Gazef is that they were both swordsmen. That's it.
This guy is the only adventure i didn't feel bad for
funny thing is, this guy probably got the best ending of all the workers, sure, he died, and the arms thing probably hurt a lot, but it was over in 30 seconds. all the rest of the workers, except maybe arche, got 1000x the pain. arche also got the easy way out, but it was still more time than this guy between the ainz fight, the fleeing and all that
I wish the clip hadnt left out the scenes that showed what sort of guy he was, thus why the girls were kicking him. Dude was a serious b*stard who got what he deserved. I also like that these elves were treated nice by nazarick.
I wonder, someone that read the novel, did they killed the elf slaves? Hired them as servants? Or we just don't care? Is more a curiosity then anything
They are alive and work as Aura and Mare's subordinates. Ainz let them live since they were, at the time, Erya's property, and thus couldn't consent to coming into Nazarick.
@@SnowyWolborg make sense. Also because Nazarik was supposed to be a refugee for non human races
@@robfus so that's not quite true, it's a refuge for heteromorphs, it's a D&D style distinction, Elves are humanoids, these 3 are kept around in the hopes of properly socializing Aura and Mare
