Strongest as ottar's official level. The big boaz man himself is actually close to being level 8 in all but name because of his monstrous stats and asterius's power is at the level of a fresh level 7.
Mf was able to knock out a bunch of adventurers without even attacking them and in the LN he was so strong that some of the higher ranked adventurers were terrified by him the only one that he knew he can't defeat one on one is ottar and is just glad that he was able to meet such strong person
Interesting thing to note. Bell is Zeus's grandson (though by adoption as far as we know). Asterius is the quite clearly the very same minotaur from the Minoan legend, seeing as he's got the same name and is literally walking through Daedalus' labyrinth. Asterius is the son of Pasiphaë, wife of King Minos, and a white bull gifted to him by Poseidon. King Minos is a son of Zeus, making Zeus Asterius' grandfather in-law. So arguably Zeus is a grandfather to both of them. We can take this a bit further and draw some direct blood ties. Firstly Pasiphaë, Asterius' mother, is the daughter of Helios, god of the sun, and cousin of Zeus and Poseidon. At the same time he might also be the actual son of Poseidon. We know that when Zeus abducted Europa, mother of King Minos, he did so in the form of a bull. So it's not that unlikely that the bull that was gifted by Poseidon that ended up fathering Asterius was actually just Poseidon. Now something else of note is that Bell is seemingly destined to fight with Asterius, they both seem to feel this. Theseus is the one who kills Asterius in the legends, so it's quite likely that is who Bell truly is. Theseus is the son of Poseidon, which might be why we never get to know who his father is, and why his uncle, Zeus, is still taking care of him. So it's actually possible that they're brothers (if you believe that Poseidon was the bull), though at the very least, if Bell is Theseus then Asterius is his second cousin once removed. They're actually a little closer than this as there are a lot of brother-sister relations in there which our current system of naming doesn't account for.

This is why you read the books.. Asterius was gravely wounded fighting loki Familia. He also was constantly being attacked by adventurers. When he was fighting Bell, he was in a really bad state. Bell had his Status updated after fighting Ais. He was a Level 3 with SSS stats.

In my opinion Asterius was the most badass character of S3.
