  • Hello friends, welcome back to my channel. If you are new here, my name is Margarita, and I am a SAHM of 4 kids. On this channel I share homemaking, cooking, cleaning and lifestyle videos. Today I am sharing how I make my pelemeni. Pelemeni are Russian meat stuffed dumplings. They are savory and juicy. We love to eat them on cold winter days, they are a very comforting meal.

I’m Romanian born but came to Australia when I was 3. I do some national dishes still for my family but they are very time consuming and with two young kids myself it’s time I don’t have atm. I really enjoyed this video, it’s nice to see others make their national dishes also.

I feel that the national dishes are time consuming, but a lot less expensive then other dishes. Our ancestors had a lot of time, but not a lot of money so they created amazing meals with with what they had. I love taking some time once in a while to cook the same dishes for my family that I grew up eating.

@@EverydaylivingwithMargarita yes you are right on that point. Plus they were usually served meals with a side of bread to fill up on.
