New subscriber, here. I've watched two of your reviews about the R1000 and they were the best on TH-cam. I currently have a 2022 Triumph Street Triple, which is a fine motorcycle, but I've decided I'm going to upgrade to the GSX-R1000 in early June. I plan to keep it as my forever bike and track ride it most of the time but I also want to ride it through the twisty's. Thank you so much for taking the time to post your videos, you are a great asset to the riding community. I'll drop by after I've had the R1000 a few weeks and share my thoughts. Ride safe. P.S. @TheCousinEddie My friend, thank you for those kind words it really means a lot to me. I am humbled...still a baby in this game, but I truly love it. What's just as awesome as riding are the people I have been fortunate to meet along the way. You're going to have a great time on that 1K. For the type of riding you plan to do, you may want to consider the 1000R for the upgraded suspension package. You'll probably find it more track responsive in the track setting. You can get it, but consider some 600-class bikes too. The japanese 600s, and particularly the MV F3 and Triumph 675 are AWESOME options. I don't say this to protect you necessarily, but because I think the smaller bikes are flat out better in certain ways. After ripping up some twisties on a liter bike, I always find myself excited to go back to my lighter bike. It's so much more enjoyable to lean the lighter bike from side to side, and the power on a liter bike can be extremely dangerous coming out of corners (for ANYONE, not just newbies). Liter bikes come and go, but there's something special about a 600. Like the manufacturers focus more on the ride and less on the stats.
@@austin5920 man I agree with everything you just said…. I love the Gsxr 1000…. And hearing you say how dangerous they are coming out of the corners, I must say makes me a little nervous…. I’ve been riding my Gsxr 600, and it is really fun…. I guess I’m just gonna have to try the 1000 and see…. But I do understand what you’re saying….. they do say its better to ride a slow bike fast , than a fast bike slow..
@@Hi-Viz-Ricky It's a pretty insane difference, the power at the low end is the main thing. If you're in a corner it's so easy to throw it into a highside with just a tad too much throttle. Of course I do that stuff too, but I have the most fun in the curves and I want my bikes to be the best at curves, and put highway and commuting as an afterthought.

@FiqSosa The price for the 1000 is $16k and change. The 1000R is 18k, and some change. I am afraid the bike is not automatic. I am pretty sure that there are no sports bikes that feature an automatic transmission. The bi-directional quickshifter is the closest you'll get to an automatic transmission. I hope that helps. Let me know.
Bro I just subbed, and I swear it’s like I’m watching one of my vids… you respect the machine….. I think you made decision for me.. 😂…. It’s time to upgrade from my Gsxr 600… ride safe .. salute!!

Bro, I'll tell you, as a proud GSX-R 750 owner, you will be pleasantly suprised when you jump on that 1K. I promise you, after riding that 1K and jumping back on my 750, my 750 felt more aggressive than the 1K. I am sure it has to do with all the electronics on the 1K that can help keep it tamed down, but that should help to put things into perspective. Best of luck with the purchase, I'll be on the look out... Salute!!
I got the grips (and bar ends) from revzilla. Their the Rizoma Sport 7/8. But (you may already know) but be warned, the stock bar end has a 1/4 inch bolt that is threaded into the bar end, so you'll have to do some minor fabs to get the custom bar ends secured properly. But, yeah, I 100% love this bike. Be safe out there, my friend! Two Wheels Down!!✌
Thanks, my dude!! The bike comes with the standard 3 yr manufacturer's warranty and then they have an extended plan you can get that takes it out to like 4 years. Small mods like exhaust, brake lines, fender eliminator, brake and clutch levers will not affect the warranty either...
@@QuikkSilver o yea that’s good… at least you didn’t have to wait to put that exhaust on… she sounds good!!! Yea bro I’m definitely ready to upgrade now….
I am using the Purple Panda with wind sock. You'll need a three to two ring 1/8th inch jack adapter plug tho (AGD TRRS to TRS Male) you can get them off Amazon for a few bucks.
I still got my gsxr 600 I bought new in 2009 haven’t ridden it in 4 years but plan to next month. Before that I had an 2006 750 it got stolen from me that was my favorite bike I ever owned.
@HotSizzleTV Rock on my brother! I'm sorry to hear about your 750, I still have mine and love that thing. GSX-Rs are some incredible machines, so smooth. I took my 750 (Quikk) out for a spin this past Saturday, and it was smooth as a 79 Cadillac LOL. 4 years is a minute, ease back into it, and enjoy yourself. Happy riding, my brother, and keep it saucy! 😉
@@QuikkSilver ahh ok my cousin had the 2017 gsxr 1000 he said the bike is perfect but they didn’t up date the gauge cluster he said the exact same thing lol
@HotSizzleTV_ Yeah, there is an aftermarket AiM dashboard that's really slick, but it's a decent penny. I've considered getting one, but it will probably be one of, if not the last mod I do on the bike.
Yeah, that's where Suzuki draws a lot of criticism. I guess coming from the basic 750 display, this one is a major improvement; I personally like it. Though it should be an upgrade option from the manufacturer, there are after market TFTs that one can get for the GSX-R 1K.
It's really not that important. I was just surprised as most manufacturers have moved to those displays. I think even the 2024 zx6 has one. I do mostly track riding (2021 zx10) and I sometimes tape over the display anyway. Less distractions.
@cesar201153, I appreciate it, my man. Go ahead and make that move. You won't regret it. It is an awesome machine. It's ironic, I named the bike 'Caesar.' If or when you do make that move, I would love to hear about. 🫡
@QuikkSilver he'll yeah man I need more top end power I like to ride alot specially on weekends out here in LA so definitely want something different. Lol I know it's crazy u named the bike ceaser hahaha lil cease junior mafia
@cesar201153 That's what I'm talking about! Bro, I lived in Oxnard for about a year back in 2015 - 2016. The bike scene was insane. There are lots of awesome riding options out there. When it's time to get down, you want a bike that can get down. That GSX-R will do just that. I'm pumped for ya, bro!
@QuikkSilver that's wazz up G I recently came back to LA to lived cause I was staying in Bama for 3 years . What I miss out there in the south that there are highways that you could really rip... but thanks G I'm definitely gonna get a gsxr1000
I hear you. To each his own. The only difference is an upgraded suspension system, steel braided brakelines, and the front position lights. If one is willing to spend a few extra $$ for it, go ahead. 🤙
Thanks for the video man ! Makes me really want one, probably a gsxr750, but might do the 1000 just because the riding modes can be more tamed down, and hear it can be more comfortable with the suspension modes, and the quick shifter. for about 2k more makes me think hard about it. Stay safe brother ! Keep the video's coming !
@wildmanjeff42 Thank you, my friend! You're right on the money. I have a 750, and although it has two riding modes, the 1000 can be bridled down to the point where it is less aggressive than the 750. The 1k is a bit more comfortable, too. Both are awesome machines and neither will let you down, but the 1k is heads above given its overall capabilities. If you plan to go hard at the track, definitely consider the 1000R. All the best in your choice, and stay safe as well. Two Wheels Down!! 🫡
People in my area are NOTORIOUS for not using turn signals and it aggravates the crap out of me. I mean how LAZY (and inconsiderate), do you have to be to not flip on a blinker??

I am pretty sure that there are no sports bikes that feature an automatic transmission. The bi-directional quickshifter is the closest you'll get to an automatic transmission. I hope that helps. Let me know.
Bro I just subbed, and I swear it’s like I’m watching one of my vids… you respect the machine….. I think you made decision for me.. 😂…. It’s time to upgrade from my Gsxr 600… ride safe .. salute!!
My dude!!! I appreciate it -- I'm gonna swing over and check out your channel -- gotta respect that 400 lbs Rottie LOL!!! Salute!!
Where did u get the grips? I have the same one and it’s a amazing bike 🔥🔥
Two Wheels Down!!✌
luv the the videos
@cuttirow I appreciate it, family!
So when did you plan to ride it?
Ahh, you got jokes, huh 😂
Dope bro!!!! Yea I’m definitely been looking at this bike…. How’s is the warranty???
Thanks, my dude!! The bike comes with the standard 3 yr manufacturer's warranty and then they have an extended plan you can get that takes it out to like 4 years. Small mods like exhaust, brake lines, fender eliminator, brake and clutch levers will not affect the warranty either...
@@QuikkSilver o yea that’s good… at least you didn’t have to wait to put that exhaust on… she sounds good!!! Yea bro I’m definitely ready to upgrade now….
What microphone set up do you have?
Be careful riding in the middle of the road, there were alot of dark spots
Is the gauge cluster full color digital or only green and black ?
It's the old school Nintendo Gameboy type dash, Sizzle. No colors.
I'm surprised they don't have a TFT display.
Great video and info i currently own a fz10 and want to trade it in for the gsxr1000
Excellent video👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
😆😆😆 Thanks, my man!
@@QuikkSilver how many hp do those have pls???
@@alexalexalexalex7906 Absolutely, Bro. This bad boy cranks out 199 horses with 87 foot pounds of torque.

Yes, Sir. You're about a stones throw from me!

@@dantheman4861 got it, brother!
I went and looked at this bike yesterday, had 1 mile on it. I'm going to say...get the gsxr1000r. This is the base model...felt kinda cheesy
I hear you. To each his own. The only difference is an upgraded suspension system, steel braided brakelines, and the front position lights. If one is willing to spend a few extra $$ for it, go ahead. 🤙
what mic do you use
Purple Panda with a wind sock.
Congrats looks at them my self . enjoy it and #livetoride
I really appreciate it. Two Wheels Down!!
@@QuikkSilver thanks man !
Put it in A mode and give it the beans man, you'll know how powerful it is.
@VinayKumar-db4qz 😄 oh, believe you me, since this video post, I have.

Same as 2023
@danielresch2975 And I love it! 😉
People in my area are NOTORIOUS for not using turn signals and it aggravates the crap out of me. I mean how LAZY (and inconsiderate), do you have to be to not flip on a blinker??
100% alot these motorist are out of control out here!😄
First sports bike?
@300poundsandchanging my first bike is a GSX-R 750... which I still have.
And they say Jappas have no soul but the gixxer is a beautiful bike with more soul than assoul like the cruiser riders would have you believe 😅😂🎉🎉🎉
