i have gotten the 2017 Toyota IA yesterday & let me you, one of the smartest car making decisions i ever made .
I just bought one a week and a half ago. Beautiful car, fun to drive, very good on gas. It takes between $15-$20 to fill it up. I have it in the color called abyss which is a deep, midnight blue.
Do you have auto or manual? Also would you say it has power at all? Like is there a kick to it?

+Latia Johnson ... You do realize that even if this car were terrible on MPG it would still cost the same to fill it up!... as we all should know the price for a fill up is figured as number of gallons times the price of the gas..
@@krisschedler by good on gas, he means that same gas lasts longer. You ok, bud? The gas tank stays the same..., just varies depending on the car.

It'd crazy that it has a 12 to 1 compression ratio, that's diesel truck range. lol I like it even though it's 106 hp it's direct injection.

Chevy sucks I wanted the 6 speed manual, they didnt have one yet. I would have bought it. The dealer said he would call me when they got a manual in stokc and never called me so I bought a different car.

Test drove one a few weeks ago, I use to have a SUV but need to save money on my commute to work. Planning to purchase the white one in a few weeks! Trying to get the dealer to tint the windows for me, it really looks cool,I actually love that monster grill lol
Manufacturers are moving away from "integrated" screens and moving towards the "pop up" infotainment screens because it decreases the size of the dash thus giving drivers more visibility and the illusion of more interior spaciousness.

You people do know that this is a Mazda 2 right? sold under the Scion name because Mazda's, Mazda 2 didn't sell well in America so they pulled it. Now it's being sold as a Scion iA.

Pretty sure most people know that... The whole car pretty much look like a Mazda, specially the interior. Only thing the scion team was re-design the front which imho looks great
+Fate Wing ... Well this Mazda 2 never was given the opportunity to sell in America, that was the old Mazda 2 where the sales lagged. Too bad, I really like this one.
Fate Wing yes the Scion iA is a rebaged Mazda 2.
However Mazda only sold the hatchback verison of the Mazda 2 in America.
Mazda does make a sedan verison of the Mazda 2 but it has NEVER been available in America, this Scion is pretty much a copy of the Mazda 2 sedan that is available to Americans.

I just bought it automatic 17,500 but got a $1000 rebate and love it. dont get how the usb works exactly, can you do anything from your phone like pictures or just music? also is the sd just for navigation?
I haven't been able to figure out the automatic stopping under 18mph. I get close but doesn't stop. great car.
It's a low speed collision device it stops you say at a stop light behind a vehicle and you for slips off the break normally the car would move forward sometimes causing a bumper to bumper hit so the scion ia has to feature to prevent it from happening

Some has mentioned about it not having the sunroof but a CD player? Seriously? A lot of car manufacturers are going away from CD players. If you have songs on a CD just transfer those to a USB drive and you're set.
+R33ZA As you know I've watched a lot of videos on the iA and none mentioned of not having a CD player. It's a great a little inexpensive car and I might consider it. Also no arm rest?
Native722 almost all new cars that are being manufactured today doesn't have CD players and are focusing on bluetooth, aux, and USB connectivity and I wouldn't blame them. Yes, I've been also watching a lot of reviews on the Ai because I'm looking on getting it as my first car. Not having an arm rest is going to be a deal breaker for a lot of people, specially those who drives a lot but this car for someone like me, who was the directed target of this car, has more than enough features for the price. I'm pretty much sold on the car but I'm still not sure how Mazda engines compares to a toyota.
+R33ZA you can actually have an armrest added for like $290 i think at the dealership over the course of payments it really isnt much.
Steven Galbraith Yup, I know, I have this car and was able to get an arm rest from Ebay for 180. It was a pain to install!

If anyone wants the newer model of this, the brand Scion is discontinued, but Toyota still makes these models under Toyota Yaris iA.

The lowercase first letter (iA,tC,xB) is kind of their "thing", no real reason. The FR-S is the first one to not have any lowercase lettering, if my memory serves me right.

I test drove this and the fit. this was cheaper, drove better and got better mpg. I did like the fact the fit had more room in the rear. Also the Scion had better fit and finish.
Yeah think I might wait for the 2017 toyota version. Supposed to come out in 4 months I believe.

It does have automatic headlights... Unless you mean it turns off during the day and turns on at night, then it doesn't. It just turns off when you turn the car off, I came from a 2000 year car so I consider that automatic lol
