      454 what if you made montages of you building? Big thing but would be cool

    1:30 -- RE: The Chinook; Fun Fact, one of the strongest arguments in favor of the Chinook's design is in the many ways it can be altered for mission purposes. Canada's Search and Rescue services, for example, used it for its amphibious properties for decades.

      Totally! It seems like an epic platform for that!

    16:00 -- RE: Length of Chinook-style; It's worth mentioning that the design of the Chinook has another major benefit in terms of the basic dynamics of stable helicopter flight, which is the forward and aft placement of the rotors. In short, most helicopters which use 1 rotor or a coaxial counter-rotating rotor system work best when located directly above the CoG. Mass located aft of the rotor will cause the platform to trim in an attitude that makes it want to fly backwards, and vice versa, but the forward and aft rotors of the Chinook should partially or completely cancel these tendencies out provided the center of gravity remains between them.

    6:20 -- RE: Fuel; I suspect it would be best to have at least 2 large tanks somewhere midships and below the geometric CoG, and then pump from them to a reservoir tank above the engine(s) that can feed via gravity. An emergency fuel tank would also be helpful, again located lower rather than higher to keep the "self righting" tendency of the overall design. The *worst* thing would be to try to land it on the water unless the CoG was intentionally kept low and buoyancy provided to the sides, to prevent the heli from rolling over into the water. Fuel would need to be cross-fed from the various tanks, but that's not a difficult thing to sort out. ; )

    Nice work, I like this style of building videos :)
    You should do a follow up where you make a bigger version of this that can utilize the big rotors for even more lifting power!

      Thanks for the comment, and great idea! To actually have 2 real jet engines :D This has only one jet engine and 2 'fake' engines on the side haha

    Love your videos and wanted to say I think it’s looking great so far. It just does feel pretty short and stubby so I think the proportions are kinda awkward, but if you feel very strongly about your design I’m fine with that.

      Thank you :) For this particular one I want it to be short so it can still land on smaller landing pads, maybe even on ships! I only took inspiration from the Chinook, but it is not based on it, but I do plan on making a larger, more powerful one afterward!

    You should make an air-droppable vehicle to go along with this, maybe modify some of the buckels

    I would recommend making it so either side can take control of the chinook. Also I recommend adding a winch underneath for sling loading cargo oh and make the sling on the inside on a rail so you can move it to the front of the cargo bay and it won’t cause issues with any cargo inside

    It would be super cool if you could make a helicopter based off the Sikorsky S-64 Skycrane helicopter, so that if you ever have a vehicle or container that need to be moved that’s to big or heavy for the chinook style helicopter in this video you have the skycrane to lift it for you

    You should make a storm chasing vehicle like the tivs or doms

    14:53 ehh ive gotten as many as 18 people on rescue missions before and if you do two missions with 7 or 8 people each.. point being 20 seats would be a fair number

      @454ss_gaming  3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Great point! Increased the number of seats because of this :)

    No problem you can just take the guns off and change the painting with new job and:
    ADVENTURE - Rescue - Scientific
    Mission and good purpose 🤔🤨💡✨🧐🏅if you can and you like
