Hey Stjepan! I came early to comment that whenever you put the analysis board after the game, we cannot see the first moves that the engine gives! I hope you can read this and fix it, it is interesting for us to see the top engine moves. Thanks ~
Thanks for sharing these training games and your helpful commentary. I tend to follow along with an engine. It's quite educational as well as entertaining. Cheers!
Stjepan could well achieve Fide Master or Candidate Master, but its is extremely unlikely he will ever become an GM. He is just too old at his relative young age of early 30s. If he does not achieve the GM title by the time he is 40, it will just never happen. The brain starts to age in middle age. That is why most top GMs retire in their 40s like Kasparov and Kramnik. Plus there a younger and more talented players coming up the pipeline, who have a better chance of becoming an GM. It is good to have dreams but they have to be based ultimately in reality. Also his tactical nous is just not up to scratch, as proven by the latest round of training games he has lost.
@@strategygames1026 Stjepan is not young enough. And Magnus became an GM at a much younger age. And they retire because they are in their 40s as they are no longer as sharp or competitive as they use to be in their 30s. Anand got out once Magnus did him over. He knew his time had passed to the younger generation. Vishy's cognitive abilities could no longer match Magnus at that high level.
@@strategygames1026 No you cannot refute my logical arguments, based on reason and evidence, that deep down you know are true. So you resort to strawman arguments. A lot more people will agree with me than you- guaranteed. End of the debate. And why did last year all the Super Grandmasters competing in Madrid for the right to play Magnus for the World title, were all under the age of 35? The fact is cognitive brain ability starts to decrease after 35. Chess is an younger person's game.
@@Redstahli I think young people make it more likely at chess is because they have more time on their hands and usually more fundings (not everyone ofc).
Keep your head up. The bad game streak has to come to an end at some point. Love your content, it's all incredibly instructive.
That was an impressive game by your opponent, creating something on the kingside and activating the bad b7 bishop simultaneously
These games are helping me! Thank you and good luck!

lol I noticed this and was soooooooo confused at first why I was seeing only bad moves. Yeah it's a small thing but would be nice to fix.

@@strategygames1026 Statistically unlikely at his current age. The ELO gap for him to bridge to GM at his age is too hard to cross.

It depends, Korchnoi was strong into his 60s, others tail off much earlier.
