A friend of a friend had a reeeaaally bad addiction. They tried everything under the sun, until it got to a point where they had to do crazy things to get pleasure and injured themselves one night. They broke down and cried in the middle of the night, embarrassed to go to a doctor, did some basic first aid and luckily wasn’t a serious injury. But they were so ashamed they just fell to the floor and made a loooong duaa, saying they don’t know what happened to get to this stage, they don’t want to be like this, and made Duaa to remove this sin. Then went and made wudu and prayed tahajjud. They swear that it worked. Ask them any day they say the best cure is tahajjud. Start with just short two rakaahs before fajr. And it’s like magic, slowly increase the dose of tahajjud and the length of duaa in tahajjud to purify yourself from this. Hands down the fastest and most effective way, and you can thank me later :)

Yep, Tahajjud is the cure 100%. Porn is not the problem. The problem is lack of spiritual connection with Allah. The more you train your nafs in worship the less you'll fall for the traps of shaytan. Remember " life is battle between shaytan and the the children of Adam".
Guys, don't give up and lose hope in the mercy of Allah. Allah wants Jannah for us!

It's a big issue for women too... we have no safe space to talk about our desires and urges during puberty and we definitely have no safe space to seek help for addiction... Men can talk about it very openly but we get judged and then people are disgusted by us but we need help and guidance too our need needs to be recognised as well :'(

Your struggle is equally important. Sisters must be able to speak about their issues and only fear the Almighty. Our community has to grow past the idea that sisters can't speak up about things. We don't have to go to the extremes of Western feminism, but we need the balance. Our community has to be realistic and understanding, and not judgemental.

I would say, as a woman, it has become easier to worship, now I have worn headphones & blocked out all playing Music with Dhikr/Quran in my ears instead, banned it playing in the Car, or in my Home. I barely watch a movie.
Romantic movies/books are arguably female porn .
And I refuse to watch music on any video I watch online. Even a short.
Lowering our gaze is step one for anyone. This one small change has changed life.
If the Palestinians can strive so so hard for Allah alone, I can let go of Music/Movies for Allah & His Pleasure. My sacrifice is so small in comparison, since this Ramadan.
    But the effects? Amazing😊
I pray all Muslim content creators let go of Music, for their videos.

P*** ruined my marriage! I used to feel extremely hurt by my ex-husbands behavior around this! But after knowing more about how P*** and M******** addiction hijacks someone's brain, I feel sad for him now because I loved him and he refused therapy since he believed he is beyond recovery after 16 years of addiction! I wanted to believe otherwise!
I know there was nothing else left to do from my end and his behavior made me question my own beauty and self worth which took a toll on my mental and emotional health! I wish and pray that Allah help him recover from this and have a better life forward! I pray that everyone who has this addiction can get out of this and have a healthy married life and be able to enjoy what's halal and please Allah! May Allah protect us all.
Please don't get into marriage before fixing this issue. No one deserves to be devastated like I was.

I find it strange that there is not a single government on this planet working towards an online bill in Parliament to get rid pornography as a whole from the Internet. The Internet is the number one shaitan in people's lives as much as it is looked at as a positive tool to use. All these sites tell you to do is to click and say if you are over 18 to continue. Anyone can click Yes. Remove porn from the Internet completely. But who is going to do that? Its an impossible task even if you have parental control at home

Corn addiction is a huge issue for women too...When it comes this topic, there are different genres of corn and both men and women watch different genres of corn..its not only a male related issue, its a female related issue as well...
The thing is, it's a taboo when it comes to women, men can talk about it openly and seek help from professionals and therapists, but when it comes women, women won't talk about it openly like the men due to their shyness...

Allah put a healthy need in you, so you can one day find your spouse, and create a beautiful family together. So you can lead that home with strength. Allah placed this same need under layers of shyness & Hayaa in Women too. We are all struggling, trying to lower & purify our intention & gaze. And keep chaste. And utilise these single years to benefit those around us & our Akhirah. Keep great company. It truly has been the best help. And prepare now to find your spouse, if means will allow. Though these same temptations will still be around, trying to break your marriage too.
