@Agent_A_Graham idk what you're talking about. I mean, YES you DO have to grind the game to get better. If you don't like the game in general or think it's bad, simply don't play. Do you have anything actually constructive to add?
@Agent_A_Graham "I don't expect you to understand." Ahh, I understand well. You chose to leave your silly criticism on the pinned comment, knowing it would get seen and responded to. Can't wait for your response😆 🤣
@PunkDaGod, WOULD LOVE SOME VIDEOS ONNA NEUCH! I swear I’ve searched for that video so many times “Neutral like PunkDaGod” “PunkDaGod Analysis”, and ain’t shit to see 😭😭
Absolutely. I went back and watched some of my replays and noticed that I lost b/c I was always aggressively chasing even when I had a huge life lead opening me up to mistakes. Once I changed that, I got my first character to master and almost a 2nd one.
@@totsuzenshi3882 same, i literally just had to stop burning out and block more and use safe moves/setups, its actually way more fun and relaxing to do less and watch the opponent
@@skgooner Cheers! I will look for that now 👍 But it's always good to watch videos from different people because everyone has something different/extra to offer on any given topic.
I watched the worlds championship juri win 1 million then started watching videos, was super interested in SF6 after that. A friend of mine introduced me to a ramen shop with a fighting community and i was hooked, bought the game and im still shopping for a hitbox/arcade stick. But i plan on getting better! Im starting from basically absolute zero knowledge and skill. I knew how to hadoken and thats about it. never played a fighting game let alone grinded one. Im as noob as it gets, spamming, dont know all my moves, finger fumble the start button multiple times during the match, the works lmao. No where to go but up from here! thanks for this video!
Thanks. The corner crouching block while on burnout really surprised me. I had no idea. Also, the drive reversal being used effectively against drive rush will definitely help a lot at my level. Punk, you’re the best.
Needed this I just started playing again. Was in plat 1 and climbed to plat 3 last couple days but now I’m stuck, hopefully this helps me get to diamond
Punk, thank you sir, for breaking down these concepts. Been stuck in plat, and I think it’s because I have yet to look into punish counter combos. Gonna do some work to figure it out 😊 Love to hear more about neutral. Thx again 🙏
First learn and lab them in the training room I usually do my combos until I land 3 straight, then hit some matches and try to land them. After that it's just time because eventually you'll start punishing correctly and consistently. Time and effort bro
Really well put! That is exactly what I would like to know too. I want to not be so random with my neutral game and understand better what I should be doing in different situations 😅
Thanks @Punkdagod this should really help me out bro, as a new street fighter and competitive FG player in general who as a casual player against friends has always loved Ryu in this series and decided to level up competitively in this entry with my lone warrior in the martial arts Gi I decided, it’s time to get some advice that I can put in to practice to get me on that path and I think where better than to get it from a pro player like my man Punk here, new subscriber too bro, looking forward to more guides and content for SF6
Watching this vid definitely helped me realize i have been leaving damage on the table on blocked drive reversals. I also noticed that while i use Drive Rush PCs with Jamie on their DPs, i never bothered to practice a similar combo with Cammy. So thanks for the tips. You are good at explaining the "why" behind the tips and that adds a lot of value 💪
Just got SF6 haven’t played for over a decade nearly but have set myself a challenge to ‘git gud’ and make it to a tournament within the next 12 months 😅 subbed to the channel because this is gonna become my bible 🙏🏼
I played some street fighter 6 for the first in a month or two and it was fun, watching you and other high level players helped me improve at understanding the game even if, since I'm bronze, I have bronze level execution
Congrats to win the Evo 2024💪 You deserve it, man. Just starting with SF6 because the Trailer of Terry was shown, and definitely main him. Until then, I must learn the Basic's. Over 40 now and it's been a long time since I have played SF. Your Video definitly helped a lot👌
Hi Punk, I literally bought SF6 after you won Evo. I'm originally a Guilty Gear player but, I was watching SF6 and was thrilled, specially watching you win. So glad to be learning from the best. Wishing you more success!
Nice vid Punk. It was informative and answered some questions directly from you that I was curious about. I would love to see you speak to tech you use when you are using Ed especially against grapplers like Zangief and Marissa. Keep up the good work sir.
Thanks again for another lit guide bro I haven't even touched sf6 in a min cause my boys still playin the 2 touch unga GGStrive (your fav) but I still watch all your sf6 shiii bc it's just the perfect mix of informative and fun, keep up the good work Punk!
Yesss, was waiting for this! These were really great tips, btw, because you really break down how and when and why to do these things. I’m going to have to practice the optimal Chun shimmy combos now! ❤ 🔥
Really good video. For when burnt out. If if there more than 4 frame gap between the attack button and DI button, you can always throw. Doesn’t matter if it’s heavy attack. The frame meter shows you the gap too.
As others below have asked for, a neutral focused video would be amazing. As a Manon main, I'm stuck playing neutral so to compare notes with some of the best is always welcomed.
@Punkdagod this is awesome, I’m not sure yet who I am going to main as a brand new fighting game player starting with street fighter 6 but, once I figure that out, I will definitely be using these guides. I will say I should recommend you do more of these like maybe how to improve your offense and defense play in this game for instance that’s not just character specifics but, some general things you can do to improve your overall fundamentals in those areas.
1st SF game and I’ve managed to work my way up to Plat 5 on 2 characters and Plat 1 on three. I think my biggest issue is combating cross ups, reacting to DI and leaving damage on the table with a lot of combos that I drop during last minute punish counters/counter hit scenarios. Any tips on how to correctly lab for these situations rather than just knowing how to do a combo? Something that can simulate close to online play?
Thanks a lot punk, you’re a very talented player so it’s always nice when players like you share some of your wisdom and experience, more content like this please!
Thanks for the vid, this will help me a lot I feel. Would love a vid on playing in neutral. Coming from Tekken this game is very different and I get lost a lot lol.
Awesome. as a new FG player learning street fighter 6 as my man Ryu I think this should really help and probably won’t head online really until I get used to these things here because, I don’t think hopping online without knowing these basic things first will cause more losses than I would really like just because I’m ignorant of basic things to improve my play in this videos.
I pretty much have all the basics down and am easily getting to Master rank, but I'm still struggling with neutral, I smoke players who have bad neutral, but against someone who is clearly better than me I just can't seem to find the opening. It would be amazing if the master himself would show us how to play better neutral🙏
Got the game a few days ago. Im really liking the World Tour mode and im trying to improve my gameplay so im not button mashing or relying too much on Modern and Dynamic modes
At least half of this is far beyond me down in Silver. Everyone I fight has seen the same videos as me and we're just scrubs doing random stuff with bad reads and execution. Good video tho, maybe I'll be able to use these tips one day.
@Punkdagod Bro at 13:30 that is incorrect you can do something when you are on the corner stuck with no drive gage. When they try to drive impact you on the corner you can grab them to counter it, not only on the corner you can grab, drive impact to counter it aswell
I personally use ps4 its what works for me id suggest just trying out a few different pads/sticks/leverless and find what you think is most comfortable
1:10 - Parry System
4:35 - Punish fake strings
7:26 - Pay attention to drive gauge
9:57 - Master Anti-Airs
11:31 - Punish/Counter Drive Impact
16:05 - Throw Loops/Shimmys
20:00 - Punish Counter Combos
24:56 - Punish drive Rush Cancel Buttons

Also Punk: would not hesitate to call you a bum 💀

A vid explaining how to play neutral effectively would be amazing

here after he won evo
Congrats on the Evo Win! was routing for you brother!!
Holy shit, just the grab or neutral jump after crLP into DI make this video worth it. That never even occured to me, thank you so much!

definitely get yourself a combo for whiffed DPs and also for whiffed throw attempts when you shimmy them.
Love a vid explaining spacing, why you walk or why you poke, decision making, and what you ate looking for at different points of the match
