I’ve never played the game and I’m going to do a challenge run of playing as only the dog with as much support with me as possible. The Grey Wardens will never see the hero dog coming
Some text on-screen (esp for the Tactics section) or in-game footage of the subject matter you're talking about (showing the attributes screen for Attributes section, or showing abilities being used during the Abilities section) would significantly improve the quality of the guide - I'm pretty sure this is present in your more recent videos, though, so I'm sure you know that already!
I don't have the mod. (I may have to get it sometime.) Otherwise, as much as I adore the doggo, I too rarely use him much past the Lothering Tavern. When I do use him, it is usually for some role-playing or thematic reason. (Or attempting some minor challenge like, play the entire game with Dog as a party member.) I also HIGHLY recommend getting the "Stick" gift for your Dog. Even though he always has Max approval, it gives him the maximum "Approval stat bonus" skill (+6 to Dexterity)! (on PC at least)
It took me way too long to figure out what you meant by 'Female Dog Braid'. But yeah. Dog is awesome at the start, but once you and your companies get more talents, he starts to fall off a bit. And that's why I never get to mark the Denerim landmark because it only shows up in the end game.
@@jarsenaultj yeah, I enjoy using the dog early but there's only so much you can improve them with a collar and kaddis. Still, the Overwhelm ability is quite powerful against humanoid enemies!
Aaah I spent like 20 minutes trying to recall what I named my dog in my first play-through... I think it was Ares or something of the sort :))) Might do another playthrough now to resurrect Ares 2
Excellent, glad I can now powerbuild my best boi.
The bestest of bois!!!
Poor Sten getting outclassed by the dog. 😂

He even has a Dog guide. I love this channel lol.

My first ever mod, extra dog slot... even before I finished my first playthrough, never leave camp without my best boi!
Thank you for the video, doing a full run in preparation for DA:V and i wanna take the bestest boi thru the whole first game!
