Great content. I thought Team up would be top 3 as well. Glad I bought some sleeved booster packs last year. The booster box is way out of my league now.
@@PokePondit would be interesting to understand the size of the uk market, this would effect the liquidity of selling. I guess our supply is based on our size and demand so it should be comparable to the US. Just a thought.
@@Cheekos118 Yeah alot of factors come into play, labour costs, economy of demand, ie cheaper product when produced in larger quantities. The best thing about a smaller market is as soon as there is a boom, everything sells out quicker and prices rocket. 😊
I've always been very interested in your content and large part of that is you stick to the UK market. A little disappointed that this was very US based and hope you don't transition to covering their market over ours. I appreciate it's harder to track UK prices because we don't have a tcgplayer equivalent but that's why I come to your channel! The markets are very different at the minute as you know so this information isn't that relevant to us UK viewers! (Not hating, just want to carry on enjoying your UK content!)
Not to worry, I occasionally throw out a video in $ when looking back over longer time scales as price charting is easier. Still going to be keeping you all updated on the UK market, back to normal next week 😊
Last year I picked up 2 sealed cases of Fusion strike on Market place in AUS for $1025 each. The seller said to me he has sat on them for 2 years and wanted to use the money for other investments as they were not going anywhere….
unpopular opinion here, but this has to be a current bubble... current prices are insanely inflated and the issue will soon be affordability if prices continue to become so ridiculously high for such printed & modern items. we will start seeing many people being priced out of the market from a TCG designed for playing and "collecting".. currently I am not liking how the market is literally becoming more and more just a investment asset class and these prices hikes confirm that. This seems so unsustainable given the current ecnomic background we are all facing with living cost increase data and wages not increasing.
Part of the dynamic in the current moment is that, at least so in terms of US consumer, people have been getting their tax returns over the past few months and they often see that as disposable income that they then spend on something that they otherwise not be able to afford. This is the exact period during which we saw the price of Evolving Skies skyrocket to where it is now. During tax season last year was when it skyrocketed from the price point of around $160 to around $300. This current season just took that price and made it look cheap. Prices of these products often inflate themselves around this time and then settle somewhere around that point for the better part of the year until next tax season comes along and the cycle repeats itself.

Thanks, yeah even team up boosters are so expensive now!
Great vid as always pond,
It’s Intrested how the US msrp is so much lower than uk - factoring conversation rate.
Yup, they are fortunate it that respect. Im proud of our little UK market though. 😎

@@PokePond that's great to hear! Sorry if it sounded a bit whiny 😂
@@JamieLGaming all good man I appreciate feedback otherwise I’m doing it blind 👍
