I was a kid when I played this - still one of my favorite - and that blackout is just one of the many things you could’ve done - the story was just amazing
This is actually pretty funny because back when the game released everybody was dunking on it left and right and now they're all coming together to preach it as a misunderstood masterpiece. I purchased this game blindly for like 4 dollars because little me thought the cover art was cool and I had no idea what to expect. I was really enjoying it. When I grew up, I found out it was hated. After looking into things, it seems Ubisoft falsely advertised some aspects of the game, mainly the visuals. If they were truly honest about the game in their advertising, it might have received way less spite.
@@NobleHunter I remember that. And I played the game on Xbox360 at the time , the weaker console when it came to graphics but I still had fun with the game. Probably re purchase it for my PS4 and play the DLCs this time
Atually I loved this game back in the day. I know nothing about the advertising or the trailer showing graphics that were way better than the final game. I never watch trailers and always try to avoid all advertising, and if I ever watch any ad, I never trust them, so... I wasn't biased in that regard and could enjoy the game as it was.
I think the city in WD2 is most lively of all games - people live their lives quite naturally - many other games try that, but WD2 did it best - of course, that is just my own opinion. Story in WD1 is much better, though. But of course, there should me many other honorable mentions from ubisoft, from Far Cries, through ACs, ..., I liked The Division too. Uuuf, I had to google the list. There are many worth mentioning. They made over 500 games, many are legendary. Many are legendary by sucking so much. WD were often hated on, I never understood why - now people call it ubisoft's prime? ...I guess there is some hate on every large gaming company (EA, Bethesda, ...you name it), but you can still find many nice games. Not just old ones, even in today's woke wake, some new ones are worth trying. It is good to show them our concern about the shitty stuff that appears here and there, but I can still pick something I like from any of them.

Watchdogs is used as an example of Ubisoft being in its "prime"...
I love Watchdogs.
Controversy did it dirty.
IMO, from Assassins creed 1 to 4 and Farcry 2,3 are the prime of Ubisoft.
@@fodz1390 try far cry 5, I like it a lot
@@fodz1390 Splinter Cell Chaos Theory/ Double Agent
That is just crazy.... I need to play this game.
Before the DEI before talent era.
Now they hire a check list, not the most capable people.
I haven't played this game yet but I bought myself a copy and I'm looking to playing this game!

I wouldn't really call this Ubisoft at their "prime", but it was still a pretty good game.
If this was their prime, that explains why they're bankrupt now. I remember them provoking GTA V but their game died in less than 6 months lol
I mean black flag was released during the same period far cry 4 and so was Unity.

hmm maybe i should replay the entire series again for the third time...
