- Can't download game updates as it's stuck at 0 bytes? This video shows you everything you need to know to solve that issue. By the end, you should be able to use Steam normally.

While on epic game store I don't have problems at all on downloading.

it is not their fault or anyones, just because billion dollar companies are rich does not mean it is easy to fix stuff like this, it is normal app errors and every app and games have that

thank you! flushdns work for me went to 0 bytes to 10-50
so if I got the disk full what should I do? without reinstalling everything on the ssd?

Thanks dude, the proxy thing works. I hate this stupid problem, I play Dota 2 and it had a lot of updates for some reason all those updates are stuck at 0 bytes, I can still watch TH-cam and do everything, but this is stuck XD.
So right now my problem is is that only 1 specific game when I click download it doesnt even display the file size in the install destination window and if I click next anyways it just instantly downloads and finishes and acts like it's downloaded but it contains nothing. No executable and also no verify it says all files are there?
Have you found any solution? I have the same problem with 1 game...

Please help because i just finish downloading steam and after that the main app of steam always needs to download to fully use steam but in my case the download doesnt even move

my steam game works to download and it did get some done but now it says 0 bytes and a 1+ years to finish
another easy way to fix it is reconnect your hdd/ssd disk
ps : not the one with drive C

I have an issue that is similar to all of those examples. Wheneve I download a game, on the steam download page, it briefly uses the Network, and then only the disk. Im not sure if thats normal. Also on Task Manager, it tells me that steam uses the disk that Im using but shows 0% network

: for those who aren't able able to still download. i figured out the solution. first download steam and then install warframe on your machine. *DON'T LAUNCH.* close steam. now download warframe launcher from official website. download and install. after the small updates are installed, close after the 33gb update starts (OR YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE WHOLE UPDATE AND THEN CONTINUE) (BUT MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD IT IN "X DRIVE\X FOLDER\steamapps\common\Warframe") otherwise trick is not gonna work. now, press WINDOWS KEY + R (opens the run dialog) and type "appdata" (without quotes). open local folder and search for warframe folder. after searching, open warframe folder and then open the downloaded folder. inside the folder you find 3 subfolders. select the "Public" folder (OFC WITHOUT QUOTES) and cut it (dont copy). then paste it into "X DRIVE\X FOLDER\steamapps\common\Warframe" (X is your drive/folder name.)

Guys I just removed my ssd/hdd cable and restarted my pc and now it’s working .
it also work when installing steam
Go to download setting > steam library folder > and try to repair folder

windows proxy setttings did it for me, best video of it's type, to this day, have this like, all the other videos like this are garbagio
The download stays at like 6-10 mb and then suddenly 0 bytes and my hdds active time is 100 percent at all times when downloading

just repair your folder on settings
-setting
-downloads
-steam library folder
-3 dots on the right side
-repair folder
there you are! it worked

hm you could have something corrupted in steam that is making it bug, so you either clear data or cache on steam or verify the files
Iv tried everything under the sun, and I’m stuck at 37.9 go out of 38.8 gb, there is no reason it’s taking an hour to download the last gigabyte. Just started happening recently and it’s super annoying

Everyone if none of these work go to settings in steam - downloads - steam library folders - right click the storage and put make default folder trust me it works

This shit is fucking annoying. Only thing that worked for me is literally waiting 10 minutes or so than the download will finally begin. It's incredibly infuriating particularly because it's happened out of nowhere

@@mrcyclone5059 Thanks for the reply. Sorry if the comment sounded a bit unfair. No I still can't fix the problem. When I go into task manager I see nothing running to do with Steam but this is the bit that confused me what are you doing when you are "hitting S? Is this just moving down the list to search for entries to do with Steam? One thig though my game will run ok. could it be a faulty workshop item? If I delete the item sign out and sign back in sometimes it downloads the "0" file and also downloads "Steamworks re-disrtibutables" (from memory I think that's the name. Thanks again for the reply.
@@michaelmitchell6785 im not the creator lol but I’ll answer it, the thing he was doing with “S” his searching for any entre points in steam.when he clicks any ware then he types “s” the task bar is searching for things that start with “S” it’s a quicker way of searching steam, if you don’t see steam in the list then that means u completely closed out of steam, start up steam then it should be fixed.
