It's nice to hear Eric's player perspective.
I'm not sure people really understand how good Col is. If Dal or LV had played Winn, I would bet that series goes 6 or 7, and doesn't end with Winn losing. This Winn team was deep, fast, skilled, and heavy; was looking to avoid a repeat of last year's exit; and boasted the top goalie and best D (goals against) in the league, yet Col scored 28g on them enroute to a 4-1 series win. Ruthless. This current Avs group has improved since last year. They also have Nich, Mitt, and a very good bottom 6 - guys they were without for last year's playoffs. They have Walk filling out the 3rd D pair. They've got Drou waiting to come back. Land, I'm certain, is doing whatever he can to get on the ice sometime these playoffs. The Col Winn series was fast and hard hitting, and looked more intense than the Dal LV series. Either team will be extremely difficult for Col, but I do believe that Col will prove to be the better team in the end.
Still one of the most memorable goals of the Avs 2022 cup run was a Darren Helm snipe with 5 seconds left to send them to the WCF. One of my favorite moments all time.
I’m with Eric on this one, Avs play there game we should be fine.
That’s what every team in the league says…
Avs were 3-1 against the Stars. I’m not expecting anything other than a hard fought battle no matter who they face.
Let's hope the Avs stay healthy so the terrible timelines don't repeat.
Reg season doesn’t even matter. Think Vegas was 3-0 against Dallas this year and look where they are.
@@Drugs748 no shit. However, it’s not like they were blitzed all year by them. If you can comprehend, o said that it will be a hard fought battle. Who knows who wins.
@@thekidcomn5938 I’m just saying regular season doesn’t matter 😂
So we're all pretty much agreed:
Game 6 we root for Vegas
Game 7 we root for 3OT
Hahahaha. I want Vegas to win no matter what. They’re an easier win this year. And home ice is very nice
As a MN based Avalanche fan, I'd love to watch the Wolves/Nuggets every off night of the AVS games but would rather they play Dallas...cuz of the rivalry back in the day!
Same but transplanted from SE Minnesota to the Nashville area. I get to all of the Avs games at Bridgestone. LGA👊🏻
We played against the best defense and goalie in the league. People are scared of the Stars (and so am I in some ways) but the Avs showed they are on their own type of game now since playoffs started. I think we can handle any team left in the west, but wont be a cake walk of a series (until we play the Oilers in the WCF hahah)
wouldnt that be sweet to sweep the oilers again in the WCF. Oilers fans would hate us
I think the Oilers are different with an actual coach now but the Oilers also have a special ability to fall apart so who knows🤷🏻♂️
Nice that g
@@sgsheff Oilers are not as good as the media is making them out to be
WCF? Nahh Dallas will beat Avs no issue.
I understand wanting more time to get players back but often when a team wins a seven game series they continue to ride that high directly into the next series regardless of lack of rest because they're just on a role.
AJ be lookin kinda Amish with that hat on.. 🔥🏆
Vegas home ice sounds great! And a sweep
I would rather slap Vegas around, tbh. They're the reigning champs, too, so it would be nice to beat them on the way. Dallas has a lot more firepower (I still think we beat them) but beating Vegas would be more satisfying.
Hats are tribute to Matt Duchene? 🤠
Can someone please make sure they create hand held OTTER images in the crosshairs. Make 18,000 copies and hold them up in game 3. This will get in Otters head.
32:03 me too battery, me too
I'm just hoping that dal-vgk goes 7 games with 25 periods of overtime
If the avs are not destined to hoist the cup this year, then I hope that any team other than the Las Vegas Injured Reserves does it.
FLORBAL!!!!!!
Dallas’ a bit long in the tooth w/Seguin, Benn, Suter, & Pavalski… but their youth is dangerous, and let’s not forget, Oettinger ain’t perfect either.
Can we please stop with the false narrative that the jets didn’t play good or that they didn’t play as good as they could have. The avs were that good that they made the jets look like an ahl team
Both those things can be true though. The Jets played pretty poorly and the Avs played really well. They aren't mutually exclusive.
It is what it is because the Jets looking at the season they had they obviously didn't live up to their annual performance. A big part was coaching and the playoff pedigree. We have a prime individual example in Mikko. For some reason he doesn't play to his potential 50% of the time. The team & him are fortunate that he can turn it on when push comes to shove.
