Guys, I have to be very honest.
I got my Nama Juice and OMG. You really just don't know that you are not getting a great juice until you compare. I usually use 4 bunches of kale in
Green drink while juicing with my $169 juicer and with the Nama, I used 2. The taste is so different. I mean different GOOD!!!! Even my husband who, kinda didn't buy the whole thing being so different... can't believe the taste. So far I love it! The pulp is dry ~ Wow
But please remember to continue juicing, even if you have a lesser juicer until you can afford a good press juice.
    Thanks, Kristina

We juice Celery every day, main disadvantage of the Nama is the prep. With the centrifugal you can feed the entire stalks, with the Nama you will need to cut into small pieces and it will take longer to feed into the unit. We have 3 kids and are very busy in the morning. If you have lots of time the Nama looks great!

  • @jtlbb2

I have a centrifugal and a vertical slow juicer. I can honestly say that while my slow juicer is superior, I use my centrifugal just as much. The fact is the best juicer is going to be the one you can use daily. Centrifugal are fast and easy to use. A slow juicer doesn’t do much good if it’s cumbersome to use. When that happens they collect dust. In fact I just made a juice in my centrifugal specifically because I didn’t feel like going through the hassle of my slow juicer.

One thing that I would ask when doing this type of comparison is to weigh the vegetables instead of using cups, which is not so accurate with chunky ingredients. I believe your case would show even more of a difference in the amount of liquid from a cold press juicer.

Carl It’s just aggravating to me. The gears are ok to clean, you have to take apart all the pieces. The hardest part is trying to scrub the screens. I primarily make carrot juice and use the fine screen, so it may not be a big deal to other ppl or with other juices. I will say that my juice tastes even better than all of the juice shops I’ve been too. Theirs almost taste watered down in comparison so, it’s an excellent juicer. The only issue is it’s a bit time consuming, likely because I’m nit picky about having it perfectly clean when I’m done.

Hi Kristina. Awesome review. Question for you. Which would you choose? The Tribest Slowstar or the Nama?

The reason there are so many uncut parts in the centrifugal pulp is becauze you are not supposed to cut items up small for that machine. It is supposed to rasp of layers of bigger items that stay still. Of course those small pieces are going to be chucked around instead op rasped. Next time put in the whole celery pieces en slowly rasp them down the whole length

Where did you get those large jars from, and the strainer? Did they come with the juicer?

A good comparison of the pulp would be weight, it will show how much water is left in the pulp because it will be much heavier.

Go for the one that juice slower and with dryer pulp. More nutrients, better taste, more juice, stronger and less oxidizing...

What about the Huron juicer you were using before ? It’s more expensive than the Nama and also makes nut milk . I’m really trying to make an informed decision before I buy the juicer . I was hoping for a comparison video between more juicer . I already knew the centrifugal juicers suck. Please help us figure out the difference between more juicers . What about the Greenstar elite everyone talks about ?

Did you end up buying a good juicer? Can you recommend one for me please?

@@sali1029 I didn’t buy a juicer. I didn’t have room for it so I just make smoothies now. If I want juice I’ll blend a smoothie then Strain the pulp.

Surely we all know by now that slow juicers are better, but this Nama has a small opening for feeding. There are other models with a big chute which will take a whole orange, apple or tomato, as well as a small one for stalks of celery or a carrot.

It would've been interesting experiment, to put the Pineapple leftovers, through the Nama; to see how much juice was left in the waste.

I"ve been using the Breville then taking the pulp and putting it through my omega to get even more juice. Usually get several more cups after that. It's a lot of work. Your juicer looks really great. Thanks Kristina

The Italian slow juicer SMEG does not get anything stuck in the filter's holes. It is enough to rinse it. I think it takes 1-2 min. to clean. It is also quiet and stable. The motor is well balanced inside of it. It has also two filters, big and small holes. I think a juicer can't make that dry pulp. I prefer not too dry pulp and easy to clean. Why do everyone look at the pulp? Look at what it looks like inside the machine. The technicians are just people, not magicians. I buy huge biodynamic celeries that give me 950 ml of juice from one celery.
