    It is extraordinary how SOME people can get a real beef with a particular manufacturer. On the clock debate, it strikes me that if you consider a Kindle, they are not particularly bright but can be read in the brightest of sunlight. Sounds like everything I had hoped it might be😊 Now just need to get on one and see if at 6ft 2in I am comfortable on one.😊 Thanks DJ 😊

      Thanks TAYM 😁Yeah we all have our favorites, I have them myself and have said so in comments in the past but I think we have to try and be a bit objective if were making video's. Good point about the Kindle, the CL display is very similar . Hopefully you can get a test ride , I would say it would be on the small side but as you get on with the SV so well I might well be wrong 👍

    The thing that scares 😱 me about the new Triumph 400 is Price. Funny how so much planning and development has gone into the bike and yet no price.
    Will it be premium price for budget built bike, who knows 🤔 Union Flag plastered everywhere but made in India 🇮🇳
    Maybe Triumph are whipping up a marketing storm in the hope of massive orders, then when everyone and they're dog wants one Triumph will release a 7k price tag 😆
    It's another motorcycle made in India 🇮🇳 and if they're as good as the Royal Enfield, happy days 😀 just be honest about the price and make sure spare parts are readily available at affordable prices.

    • @WyreForestBiker
      @WyreForestBiker  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mike. Bearing in mind the prices on the Indian market I'm sure Triumph have the margin to price the bike competitively. I would guess at £5299 for the road version and £5499 for the Scrambler, possibly a little less as an introductory price. I think quality will be fine and the Indian launch will be used to iron out any possible issues ( as RE has done in the past with their models) Thanks for watching and commenting... 👍

    Hi David I wanted to ask if you thought this would be a good highway commuter bike. It would be 80km one way, so 160km total. I would be riding the bike in stints of about an hour averaging speeds between 112/kmh-128/kmh. Would this be manageable on the bike or do you think I’d be pushing it too much? My other concern is that maybe this style of bike isn’t the best suited for dealing with wind as my understanding you deal with it quite a bit going those speeds. Sorry if it’s a silly worry I’m just unsure as this would be my first bike. T.i.a.

    • @WyreForestBiker
      @WyreForestBiker  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello , it's a case that the bike is perfectly capable of doing what you need , but is it ideal or the best option ? That's harder to say. The logical option would be the 500x or similar on long highway rides as it offers wind protection but it really is a decision only you can really make . So yes it will happily do the trips you mention but other bikes are more purpose made for the task. Sorry to be vague but that's my honest opinion...thanks for watching and the question 👍

    this video is very poorly made and waaaaay too long. A Q&A video should never be 30 minutes long. i played this video on 2x speed and it was honestly not worth it as i didn't learn anything new. but i do like some of your others videos so thank you for sharing

    • @WyreForestBiker
      @WyreForestBiker  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for commenting , sorry it wasn't what you expected. Since I made this I have shortened my video's mainly because I have learned more about the editing process, ( I have only recently started the channel and the tech side is a mystery to me ) . It was not meant to be a Q&A as such, just a vlog ride along whilst also answering some subscriber questions . I agree my video's do lack structure as I simply record my rides rather than going out for the day filming and 'setting up shots' as some others do , for me at the moment the channel has to fit around my normal biking life rather than the other way around so it will always be less "professional" than those who are content creators first and bikers second . I always felt I did not want to become a 'slave' to making content but simply bring along people with me during my normal day to day riding. Appreciate you taking time to comment and hope you still dip in to watch occasionally ...Dave
      PS sorry for over-long reply🤣😅

    Spot on with any of the 500 Honda range, great first bigger bikes, also great for those downsizing like myself. I went for the CL as the quirky looks appealed to me. No issues for me seeing the dash, it is very minimal, but sometimes good not to have too much info.

    Great video David, the CL really does seem to stack up a a very versatile bike. Friend of mine with a Hunter 350 is getting his head turned by the CL as he's after some extra power. Agree that it would be a perfect choice for anyone moving into the realms of bigger bike ownership. Cheers 👍

    • @WyreForestBiker
      @WyreForestBiker  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's very interesting thanks for the comment. I like the Hunter and all the RE 350 range but there is no doubt regardless of what some say, 20BHP does limit the bike as an 'all-round' machine. I would consider the CL and the other 45 'ish BHP bikes as a minimum output for a machine that can cope with the majority of road conditions. The 'scrambler' set up does make a lot of sense for an all-round bike on todays roads and conditions in my opinion. Appreciate you watching ...thanks👍

    Hi there, im after a first bike for when I complete DAS. Im 50 years young and plan on using the bike for light touring (travel to northern Europe), Sunday driving and to take part in advanced riding lessons.
    Good first step or am i better off just getting a 650 ?
    My dream bike is a MG V7

    • @WyreForestBiker
      @WyreForestBiker  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Neil ...First I am loath to tell others which bike is best for them as it's SUCH a personal thing. The only way is to test-ride all the options . However I would say all those you have mentioned are more than capable of doing what you want ...however only you can know your preferences and personal circumstances . Are you a big chap or little like me ? do you like to be able to have power in reserve and if so how much ? Are service intervals an important consideration ( if so a Royal Enfield may not suit for example) The V7 is a lovely bike however when I test rode one I could not get on with the engine vibes and slightly agricultural feel (others love them ) I wish you luck and again TEST-RIDE !!😊...Tell me how you get on👍 Dave.

      I have a decent dealer 5 miles down the road who are a dealer for Suzuki/Kawa/MG (and others, but not Honda/Yam) which is also a consideration.
      Main consideration above all other for me is to learn to be a decent rider

    It's always good to see the CL 500 on our less than smooth UK roads. However, there appears to be a whistling/ambient noise in all of your videos that you still haven't cured pal. It makes it unwatchable especailly on my Dolby Atmos system. Sorry I want to watch them but can't.

    The whole 500 range from Honda does knock it out of the park as far as first big bike is concerned because they're all easy to ride and it covers all the bases whether you want a sports bike, adventure bike, scrambler, cruiser or standard naked they have it covered. I think I know who you're referring to on the Triumph issue and honestly I wouldn't let those views colour my judgement and you have to take his opinions with a large grain of salt. With any bike a review is only an opinion and you really have to make your own mind up when you see it in the flesh. I do always nod to scooters (they are in the same boat as us on the roads) I've only ever ridden one scooter and I'll be honest it scared the life out of me so they have my admiration especially if they ride in the wet.
