  • Paint this seascape from the Isle of Skye using only 3 colours. Choose three primary colours from your palette and see how many colours you can mix from them; enough to paint this seascape - or anything you fancy!

    Just beautiful! Great idea with the dry brushing on the sea! I have a photo of a similar coastline that I took several years ago. The headlands of the Point Reyes National Seashore near San Francisco. I think I'll try your techniques. I'll use just cool primaries too, but my colors will be very different what with the bluffs being sandstone. 😁

    Thanks Lou. If you dip your brush in liquid soap or rub it on a block of soap first, the masking fluid doesn’t clog your brush up. Thought I’d share that tip with you 😊
