I am a subscriber. Thank you for your informational videos.
So, I'm currently on day 3 of the raisin water challenge and I must stay that I notice a difference. I just "feel" better, is the best way I can describe it. I noticed this start to take effect on day 2 of the regimen. I do take care of my health, work out, balanced diet, etc. I don't have any health issues either, so this is coming from an already healthy person. I'm definitely going to make this a part of my routine every month.

My grandfather used to soak raisins in warm water. I always thought it was just to plump up the raisins to make them less chewy. But he drank the water, too. I always thought it was weird, but he knew much more than I could imagine. I could truly appreciate learning from him now. He lived to be in his mid 80s.

I used to be in a baking apprenticeship. When making scones, I would use the leftover raisin water in the batter. One day I thought, perhaps the flavor could be enhanced if I let the raisin water ferment more. On my first batch of more fermented raisin scones, a customer told my mentor that those were the best scones she’d ever eaten. They looked a little funny-darker-but they were great!
Afterward, the customer report was conveyed to me and I got a bit of a scolding from my mentor for not being consistent-a requirement in professional baking. However, I believe I also detected a mischievous chuckle from him as he departed the bench.
Of course, one could go overboard with such experimental fermentation, but I wouldn’t be surprised if just the right amount did, indeed, keep things in God’s healthy balance. 😉🍇

  • @l.antoinetteanderson3736

Thank you for this tip. I would add, as some have in comments below: grapes (raisins) are sprayed with various pesticides and herbicides so I recommend organic; even with organic, I soak for a few minutes in the special soap for vegetables and fruits that you can find in healthfood stores/some supermarkets. Soms people can have loose bowel movements with this, so you may need to adjust the amount of liquid, the number of days in a row, or both, to suit you - we are rather individual here. Also, you can do the same "cleansing " which is what this is doing (not biggest effect on your liver, but your bowels) using dried prunes with similarly procedure, just be sure to wash first (this also keeps down any bacteria/fungus that can be present, after all we do not know what "environments" the food has been through before it comes to you). These kind of bowel cleansing foods are much less expensive than the ones offered on the markets and those almost always contain Cascara sagrada, a very harsh bowel stimulant obtained from a tree of the same name.

I would rinse the raisins in baking soda solution, 1 table spoon of baking soda to 2 cups of water for 15 minutes, then rinse. This will remove most of the pesticides on your grapes. I would do this to all fruits and vegetables even " organic" before consumption.
Side note, please stay away from gmo, gluten, and preservatives for health reasons and look into consuming b17 found in bitter almonds and apricot seeds amongst other sources.

For about the last 2 years I’ve been drinking a detox tea at night before bed, then wake up in the morning and drink a full mug of plain very warm water before having 1 cup of coffee. I heard drinking hot/warm water at the beginning of your day will help hydrate your stomach and intestines, thus helping the natural elimination process. I can see how your raisin water drink could do even more and taste way better.

Hello, Alabama ! I am back again ! This is Carol from metro Atlanta. I am groaning listening to you, because I want to do this badly, but I can’t . I have diabetes…….as well as non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver. I would LOVE to do this for my liver. But, because of my diabetes, I can’t. I have to be extremely careful eating any kinds of fruit, because of the natural sugar in fruit. And raisins have lots of that natural sugar. Right now I am eating a Keto diet, more or less. It has taken me 11 years to figure out that it is really useless listening to my doctors ! So many people are getting cured of their diabetes on Keto, that I figured maybe I’d try it. If I get cured, THEN I can do the raisins. This ole widow will go down fighting, if nothing else. Good video, Alabama.

Keto doesn't cure diabetes, I'm sorry! It helps to keep your blood glucose lower so your A1C will show beneath the 6.5 when you to the test. Low carbs and low sugars are the reason we diabetics need to stay with Keto to keep our blood sugars down. Once you keep your glucose down you cannot go back to old way of eating or it will rise once again. Dried fruits like raisins raise the blood sugars way too much in most diabetics. Try taking Milk Thistle for the liver it helps a lot to fix the situation but it's not an instant cure for the liver. It's a slow process to make it better.

    • @wvbonbonqueen
      @wvbonbonqueen 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I am not criticizing you here, but.... if you don't go "whole hog" on your diet, it usually doesn't work. So if you are eating any carbs those can also raise your sugar levels. Just a piece of information you may need to know, so that your keto eating will work well, and as quickly as it should, if you are doing it correctly. Good Luck!!!! Have a great Sunday.

I will give this a try. We( my husband and I) still are doing the garlic&honey tonic each spring. I had started to get colds during the change of the seasons. And he wasn't able to deal with the pollen during the spring.Especially in the spring,. This started when I turned 50 for me, he's been suffering for much longer. When, I started that tonic from your video. I noticed, no colds that winter. And, no spring colds or irritation from the pollens while working in my gardens. My husband enjoys the outside again. Without feeling groggy or having a dry mouth. I mean from meds to combat the pillen. Knowing we won't be needing the over the counter stuff anymore is a good thing. . This is all natural, 2 ingredients tonic. That's very easy to make and consume. Plus, I know there won't be any side effects to deal with later. Our children started and continues to make the tonic for their families. I'm so glad you shared this, thank for doing that. As soon as we've done it for at least three weeks, I'll tell you our findings..

For those concerned about *pesticides* and other chemicals on the raisins, you can (as of 2021-11-12) purchase Wal-Mart store brand USDA Organic raisins, 12 oz by wt for $3.42.
Each canister has a little over 2 cups of raisins by volume so the cost would be about for about $1.60 - $1.70/Cup or Per day if on this plan, which at this time is less than a cup of coffee from McDonalds, or about the cost of 1/2 gallon of gas, or about the cost of a doughnut at the gas station.

According to several do-it -yourself -health youtubers, when you boil lemon peel and grapefruit peel together you're making your own hydroxychloroquine. A good thing, right? But be careful if you're on medication, especially for a life-threatening condition, because grapefruits contain molecules that affect absorption of many prescription drugs. So do seville oranges, limes and pomelos. For more information on this see "Three Ways Grapefruit Can Kill You," "Mixing Grapefruit and Your Meds," as well as many other warning videos.

My dad found a recipe for gin soaked raisins. He tried it, and said it made his achy parts feel much better. They helped so much that he would do way more then he normally did. Then the day after, because of all the activity the day before, he would ache twice as much. At the time, I thought that was funny, but now I'm thinking of trying it. I just won't over do the chores, hopefully. I'll try your recipe, because I don't like gin.
