- Today is my day off, so I decided to bite the bullet and take a camel into the heart of the desert. I knew I wanted to photograph the Sahara, but I never thought for a second I'd end up in the MIDDLE of it all, resulting in getting SO many incredible images to cherish forever!
I could talk about this day alone for years to come, let alone the rest of the trip!

Fantastic brings back so many memories. My wife n I did the camel trek from Erg Chebi and slept on blankets in the desert. We spent a night looking at shooting stars and the Milky way, it was awesome. That was 20 years ago and was the start of our adventures. Shame we didn't have Gopros. . Thanks.👍FB

All these lights in Sahara camp mask the greatest view on the planet: the stars in the sky. We, city dwellers, cannot imagine how clear night sky looks in complete darkness.

Rich, I don't know what it is, but these travel videos of yours...they just get me. I mean, if I might think long enough I could point out what exactly moves me, touches me...I don't quite konw how to say it in english, I'm just some middle aged bavarian bloke having a beer (or two, Andechser Doppelbock if someone cares) binging away this series and thinking "This lad and his Norway Series made look away from the Triumph Thruxton I wanted so bad when I got my motorcycle license eight years ago and got me into touring...". And I do not regret a thing. Well, except I have not made it to Norway yet and now you're giving me the Morocco fix. Great ;-)

Takes me back. A few years ago we did a trip from Marrakech to Ouarzazate then undertaking a circular route taking in many of the visitor destinations including the Dades Gorge and Merzouga. The camel ride into the desert must have been one of the most painful experiences i have encountered :S. The camp was a bit more Spartan than your 5 star booking :) We got to sleep outside on a mattress under the stars. It must have been a bit warmer. Don't forget Morocco has a rich filming heritage.

Richy this journey has been absolutely outstanding. The colours, filming and photography is award winning. your solo trips in winter have been amazing and each one gets better and better. i am glued to my screen from start to finish and i can't stand sand lol, but i would definitely do that trip.

A cracking sedate video . Amazing how the emotions of a simple sunrise can “Cure” you. Memories of living in the gulf and spending the weekend in the dunes came flooding back .

Over twenty of us stayed in the Sahara on motorbikes no one except me would get up for the sunrise it was 5.30am photos for proof they don't realise what they missed, I was right there with you man fantastic 🌅👌
