Thankyou thankyou thankyou so much!!! I have watched lots of videos for beginners but this is the first one I've been able to do correctly without having to pull it out and start over again. You are so clear with your directions. I'm so happy that I've mastered this first stitch on the road to many more stitches.
Thank you so very, very much for this tutorial/crochet-along! I have watched and tried to work along with a number of videos, and this is the only one that got me through with a pretty darn good granny square! I don't know why I have had such a challenge learning how to do this, but your video is a blessing! I have subscribed to your channel and hope to see much more. :) THANK YOU!
I want to thank you so much for this tutorial. I started crocheting back in 2010 and left it back in 2015. I recently picked it back up in October after my therapist asked me what brings me peace and I told her crocheting. All I've ever known for stitches was single, double and tripple. I have ADHD and PTSD and could never understand the granny square. Im 45 years old. Because of your soothing voice and how you take your time, i made a granny square! ❤❤❤ again thank you so much! This means a lot to me.
Omg! I spent hours trying to figure out how to make a granny square, this one by far has been the best! Super clear and your hands don’t block the stitches like some other tutorials do lol. Looking forward to more thing to learn on your channel!
HI there your Instructions are very clear and precise many thanks as we all know how some crochet is not very clear. I have also subscribed to your creations 😊 😊 😊 🎉 🎉 🎉. See you soon tc ❤ .
Thank you for this. Easier to follow and more systematic than others I've tried. Q: My edge is twisting at the same place on each corner. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I didn't turn my work or anything.
@@motherelephant5537 One chain on each until I get to the corner spaces, then 3 double crochets/2 chains/3 double crochets. The appearance is as if the chain is twisted on one side of each corner, so they're kind of skewed.
@choc_chip I was able to get a twisted corner by changing up which direction I did my yarn over. Are you consistently yarning over the same way every time? If you're changing up the direction your yarn goes (over/under) your hook while yarning over, you could be getting a twist. Let me know if that helps! I'll do what I can to help you troubleshoot.
Hello what kind of yarn is that that you’re using? I thank you for this video I’m like the other ladies and the message I watch so many videos and was lost. I came across yours and I understood and he wasn’t so slow with it as teaching us so thank you for the tutorial and I have to do two blankets so this will help me out a whole lot more now.💞💞💞💞💞
I'm using a larger weight of yarn. Maybe a blanket weight? I found it at a garage sale so I'm not sure without a label. Best of luck with your blankets!
Thank goodness for this video😊!
Out of all the videos I've seen making granny squares, yours, is the one that ever made sense to me. Thank you so very much. 😅😂❤ 😊
I'm so happy my video could help
A million granny square videos I’ve watched. Yours is THEE BEST!!! Beautifully explained, filmed, n no music. Thank you.
Finally someone that hooks the yarn over the correct way around!!!! Yippee 😁
Omg I spent all day trying to do these I came across your video last and I got it thank you so very much 😊
I like this. Thank you!! Much better than ones I’ve watch and tried to do. Very informative and your voice keeps one at ease.
I have tried so many tutorials to no avail...this one however was the easiest to follow. Thank you for my first granny square that made sense😅❤❤

Q. Are you putting only one chain for each edge space?

@choc_chip my other guess is twisting your hook all the way around during the pull-up-a-loop step. I'll do a troubleshoot twisted corners video soon.

Yes this first round has four shells.
