    For everyone complaining about racking or shooting delays in pool videos remember that if you're watching this on a computer you can press J to skip 10 seconds back and L to skip 10 seconds forward. K pauses. After clicking on the video twice to pause and then resume you activate the arrow keys for 5 second skips. If viewing on a mobile device you can double tap the left and right side of the screen to skip forward and backwards 10 seconds. Get used to doing this and you can be much more efficient with your time and consume a lot more content.

      This is why I like Jeremy Jones. A lot of pool players like to think their way is best. I find a large portion of billiard commentary online to be un-listenable. It's like, some players need to point to help them with position and speed control. Bergman is one of my favorite players. He has more of an improvisational style.

    These announcers are both cruel and uninformed. Taking your time with a pre-shot routine is highly intelligent. Bergman's thinking through his position, visualizing, and making sure he's loose.
    The focus should have been on how well he's playing. What fine position and accuracy.
    There should be a shot clock. But if there isn't this is a perfectly good way of playing.
    Most players could learn a lot from watching Justin here.

      @o8shooter9o58 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you always automatically form opinions based off what everyone else thinks? Do you have an 800 fargo rate? Do you even understand why he's really doing what he does? Because I understand. He's getting front row seats on his next available shots to get a better picture of what shot he's more comfortable with to get position on the shot after that. But you donkeys don't get it.

    • @o8shooter9o58
      @o8shooter9o58 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Walking around the table, stepping away from the table, visualizing the shot on your next ball to get position on the ball after. It's called respecting the game. Giving it your best shot, your best effort, all you have. Maybe he wasn't in dead stroke in this match and was fighting against not seeing the table that well. We all have days like those, I can tell you one thing though...he wasn't missing balls because of lack of effort or not taking his time. He respects the game and he respects every shot he's dealt with. I bet if you did that and complained less about others doing it you wouldn't be the one sucking and he'd be in your spot.

  • @GlenGlenervo

    • @o8shooter9o58

      You are confused Nooch, he's just testing what the shot feels like and if he doesn't like it he takes a different route. There's literally nothing wrong with the way he plays and it's not boring to watch.

    • @codytoddy
      @codytoddy 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      o8 shooter 9o who are you to say what's boring? U must be so smart.

    • @Nooch-xc6xs
      @Nooch-xc6xs 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      o8 shooter 9o I would completly disagree. I have been playing pool for nearly two decades. Watching a man dance around the pool table like he has no idea what he is doing is substantially boring. These are professional players who know what works and what doesnt. If he genuinely knew what he was doing the only other possible answer was he was adding "drama" to the game. Men like Shane don't need this pointless waste of time and I would rather watch people make quality shots than waste time pretending. I understand feeling shots out, but even you have to admit...doing that on every damn shot makes no sense. The plan for the game is set just a few shots in

    • @o8shooter9o58
      @o8shooter9o58 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

  • @arpeemac
    @arpeemac 7 ปีที่แล้ว +13

    LOL, why is everyone yapping about the things Justin does before taking the shot? it's his pre-shot routine. it keeps a player's rhythm going. there's an OCD-like thing going on with some players, and they need to make sure that things have to be done before taking a shot. that's just how it is. if you're a pool fan, you should know that there are a lot of players who does way more annoying things. :)

    • @Nooch-xc6xs
      @Nooch-xc6xs 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I see what you are saying with that completely. The only thing with Justin is he played better without doing that so often. Even the announcers made note of that. I would have to agree, it seems more for drama. Especially since most of the shots he made, the outcome never happened as his pointing showed it should.

    • @o8shooter9o58
      @o8shooter9o58 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Justin is a world class player, and no he doesn't play better when he forgets to go through his pre shot routine. You are so confused.

    • @o8shooter9o58
      @o8shooter9o58 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nooch you're an idiot. Everyone has good and bad days. The fact that he had a bad day doesn't automatically mean it had anything to do with taking his time and looking at all of his available shots to see what lines up better with getting position on the shot after his next ball. You donks are worse than these shitty commentators.

    • @maxwatson4545
      @maxwatson4545 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      because it's annoying. He checks EVERY angle EVERY time and it takes him forever to make up his mind. He only thinks 2 balls ahead and it's not fun at all to watch. It's like watching an amateur that makes most of his shots.

    • @bassinbilliards6279
      @bassinbilliards6279 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      arpeemac no joke
      Half the times he's just looking at the line a d not necessarily the leave. I do it on maybe half my shots. It helps me see the line and focus on where I need to be and not just shooting to the spot. It's almost easier in ways than just looking because I feel where I need to be. A lot of senses comes into play.

    Holy crap stop whining about his pre shot routine lol. Oh but you love the glove and shirt color combo of Shane LOL. These commentators were definitely Shane fan boys. The funny thing is, as far as I know, Justin does that partly to get under the opponents skin. He doesnt have to do it, but the time it takes annoys people and makes your opponent cool off a bit if they were doing good. Old pool shark tactic. Im sure a part of it is also to really visualize where the cue ball is going. You can tell it would work on these commentators for sure lol. By the way, Justin has some of the best cue ball control out there. So if that is what does it for him, then it must work.

  • @johnnyroc
    @johnnyroc 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    1:08:20 It’s the 7 ball not 6. He missed it cause he loaded up with outside English to hold for the 8 but aimed it like he was shooting center ball. So it threw, but also it threw so much cause slow speed exaggerated the effect. He had to hit it much fuller with that much outside or hit it just like that with no outside. Unbelievable that Shane didn’t realize that- any 550 Fargo and up knows that, 650+ for sure. But also unreal that commentators didn’t notice that.

    Interesting match, especially considering Bergman pulled it out. A gift from Shane that Justin took full advantage of in the next to last rack. If Bergman was to learn to quit over analyzing many of his shots, he'll be much more formidable as time goes on. See it, feel it, trust it.

    SVB makes some bad shots, commentators don't make too much of a fuss, Bergman takes his time, playing someone as good as Shane, commentators talk so much crap about how he points and takes his time, Shane made bad shots, all the pointing keeps someone as legendary as Shane in his seat so if he does give up a shot hopefully it makes him miss. Stay in your lane, there's a reason your talking about pool not playing it.

      The announcers biases are stunning. I can not believe they can talk publicly in this manner.

    Bergman playing style is so time killing and boring

  • @anon2414

    Bergman is a great player but he just takes too long..boring..that's why I like watching billy Thorpe he is a quick shooter and if he says an opening he will go for the shot...not scared at all, but you don't make money in pool by having an audience. You play to win the pot

      There should be a clock. It would solve the issue.
