Lou, You MUST release/do a full length documentary as we both know just how much amazing footage you have from the beginnings of the Family right through to the present day (& beyond) - I/we/they believe in Lou!!!
Lou Smith here, I've been meaning to send you this th-cam.com/video/cOAdD_b1DWg/w-d-xo.html Great documentary of the Brian Jonestown Massacre which will hopefully inspire/persuade you to make one of the Fat Whites!
I was once an extra with saul in a rimmel makeup advert featuring kate moss, at bethnal green social club many years ago he was in a band called the saudi’s then I seem to remember. we took the piss out of everyone that day and ourselves, good times!
Lou Smith Netflix needs a Fat White documentary. Have “TGWTM” playing as opening credits accompany a montage of scenes of capitalism eating itself/Iraq war/Trump election/Brexit/Riots in France/ Australia/California fires etc., (fuck there’s a lot shit lol...) maybe chuck in scenes of vacuous celebrities... You get the picture. This band is the crippled foetus born out of the crack-whore mother knowingly smoking crack. The world has fucked itself and FWF are a microcosm of the discerning millennials banging their lonely, anxiety crippled heads against Trump’s oil soaked wall ad infinitum. tell ‘em I said that.
God I love this band so much. It's been a few years now that I've been in love with them. I saw them at Earth in Dalston last December and it was the first gig I'd gone to on my own for about 20 years. I just got drunk and stayed down the front for the whole show and thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. I've just watched this vid for the first time since then and realised pandemic or no pandemic, the world needs Fat White Family more than anything else. Please God they tour again after this nonsense has run its course....?....x
Bobby Needs I did make a start, but lost all my projects during a software update. It's an epic task. A worthy one though. And as you say, I got the archive.
I loved that session, filmed whilst rehearsing for their pair of dates at The Lexington. My daughter and I were the first to witness the live playing of their new material, and some classics thrown in for good measure. Glad you liked it.
@@goldenloki5458 Yeah. I have a whole session from then which I will share at some point, though probably not here. I'll post a version of Fringe Runner from the soundcheck at The Lexington soon. Keep watching ...
@@HaleBopp brilliant I love it when that happens :D I played it to a workmate and he pretty much recoiled from it calling it council estate racism lol Happy xmas and a happy new year smother love to you all
😀 too nerdy for my skillset. Somebody out there may know. I don’t remember ever seeing that extensive an array, as his lifestyle wouldn’t allow keeping anything long enough to build it up.
@@LouSmith Thanks Lou. Weird coincidence my band played with Howling Fiends earlier in the year, fingers crossed we cross paths when we're next down in London. Keep up the great work!
Lou Smith thanks lou! yeah I can hear it now, it’s a great song with brilliant sax. I like all the reggae/orchestral vibes on the whole album as well, cheers
@@LouSmith Yessir. It's a great 80's style synth. Nathan actually needed a keyboard/organ last time they came through Portland and borrowed one of mine. This is a great vid btw. Cheers.

People should pay to see this, this is too precious.
I'll save the rest! I was dying to share a bit.
@@LouSmith Haha I didn't mean it that way, I guess 😅.
Thanks so much for sharing, though!
@@braindeadbogan9272 Yeah! It'd be good if I could make a living out of this. It's an obsession, but it don't pay the rent.

Just from the name? Sound like a Zef outfit
How have I only just seen this?! Pure love for them ❤️. Thank you Lou 😘
That's a mystery to me man. One of my favourite clips this. I actually have a whole load more of this session but gotta hold some back for the future!
Another great bit of footage of a great band. Totally agree with Bobby Needs comment.
Thank you John, i'm sure if enough people agree (& harass Mr Smith) the outcome will be a beautiful one

Haha. He does look good.
Basically stay away from London unless necessary vibe 😎
Its all great, but, from 4:04 is one of the best live musical performances I have ever watched.

do you happen to know which of the two is singing on Vagina Dentata? Usually I can tell by ear alone but that track threw me
The extensive sleeve notes suggest Lias, with Ben, Saul and Alex backing.
