Yeah! Sexy Al on sax and keys. Did you see the stripped back FWF ballads duetted by Saul and Alex? great stuff. th-cam.com/video/kdQJeqP_WyA/w-d-xo.html
@@crc6720 It really has been about the interplay between these two, and increasingly, musically from Nathan too, who has been growing his musical confidence and influence. If ever you have watched their early manifestations, the evolution of Lias as the hyper animated uber front-man is observable by degree.
It is sublime. I saw them rehearse this where the sound was a bit more controlled, and Saul's guitar in tune from the get-go and have to say it's one of my favourites of theirs, if not my current fave.
@@LouSmith yes can only imagine how fine it will sound on lp...really liked tastes good with the money too..def a single type song....shades of earl brutus with the glam type drums...really good to see saul and lias singing together more on the new ones.
Yeah. Really glams up after a more typical swampy Fats chugging intro. 'Money' definitely one to watch. The new bass-player, Adam Brennan, who has been head-hunted from the plethora of South London bands he regularly adds his genius guitar licks to, is being primed to cover Saul's guitar parts in the ( frankly likely ) event that Saul will abscond during tours. Still gonna leave a gap ...
Yeah I read once Saul isn't mad on touring. New members fitting in good..they'll soon have as many ex members as The Fall (Prob not likely).Have seen them do some great gigs without Saul tbh but it's never quite the same without him I guess.
Yeah. They were in intensive rehearsals ahead of these gigs. Drummer may be a relative of Saul, Alex has been there a while now and seems a fixture, and Adam Brennan is stoked to be onboard, but must be itching to get his hands round those guitar riffs.
Yeah! I missed the beginning of the previous night's version as I was concentrating on getting some good stills for The Quietus review thequietus.com/articles/25973-fat-white-family-london-the-lexington-2019-review I did catch the end which I may post as it contains a wee crowd surf from Saoudi Sr.
Yeah it always seems a band that would be fun to be onstage with...Adam is definitely a survivor and keeper !! He's doing warmduscher too now isn't he...another great band with Sauls blood in it...very talented man. Did even feel a touch of his insecure men edge in the new stuff...natural I guess that it all might start seeping together a bit seeing as they all seem to be part of each other's various projects.
Yeah. He'll be first dibs to the Fats for all the upcoming touring and festivals. Its great to see Saul joining in the honours on the mic a bit more, and Nathan has been putting a lot of influence into the soundscape. Developing nicely.
Roberta Spice the other band members? They're all accounted for. Dan is doing his own thing, Jak is directing film and video, jack e is in Warmduscher, Joe is working on his own project ...taishi is living in Berlin...
There is no colour version. When there is haze and red LED lights shining at you colour is tricky to control. Lighting was way too low for decent image making. I didn't see any great pics come from that night, you can see the flashes and focus aids on Lias the whole time. It was much better the previous day, but haze ...
Please come to Australia FWF !! PLEASE.....🤩🎸🥁🎤🎶
One day surely they must. Although there'd probably wanna be a bit of a lightening up of the old police state before they'd wanna.

@@LouSmith haha I was a wee bit bored :D
Theyre gettin better and better and better, and the saxophone is a huge plus to their arrangements, love it!

So good watching such great talent getting back together.
Really good. Guardian gave them three stars! Must still be on the right track.
It's hard to be subjective when we love them so much.
Saul Adamczewski is so flexible and great
But Lias Saoudi is incredible too
Crc It’s obvious, isn’t it????
He is. Nathan has been stepping up musically on this album too.

He does Pilates
Simply the best.
The first song is amazing
I agree

So fucking sleazy init!!
@@LouSmithdid you catch the title of the song? it is amazing!
@@fentonhouse4567 Yeah! really good. 'When I Leave'
During the Lisbon show, it looked like they where in a hurry to finish it. Here they were having fun. Such a huge diference.
I think this was their first outing with the new material, and with a home crowd ... Check some of my windmill footage for fun times.
nice guitar from Adam in When I leave..great video thanks, looking forward to the lp
Yay! Thanks. It's a great song eh? Saul's was out of tune to start, but came good.

I hope these fellas make it back to Aus some day, I was a little late hearing them to make it the first time :(
Those cops will have to calm down a bit first!
that first song is great. can't wait to hear the recording
Joshua Hodson-Smith yeah! Love it. I filmed the rehearsal for these shows and it r is eally sublime that track. Beautiful.

Peak FWF. Lias has never looked so on-form. I think the new album is going to stun the music scene
This was just the warm-up gig! New album is a game-changer!
amazing vid Lou! Fat Whites back on top form!
Thanks, Tim. Yes, they're rocking it. Hope to catch up soon. Been a while. xx

Woo!
love this but wondering where the others from 10 yrs back are now
? the poor kids!?

the saviours
Keep delving. I have loads of pearly moments from the Fats.
And the new songs sound much better live : I was afraid I could love a little less their third album, from the few clips I saw.
I think the new stuff will grow inside you. I love the songs I saw them rehearsing when getting ready for these shows.
Argh!!! I know I shouldn't, but I love this band. Terrible and wonderful. Awful and blissful. Genius and mayhem. Pure schizophrenia:):):)
Yeah. They're a good mash up of all that is necessary.
Love those lads, any time, any place, but when filmed in London, and by Lou Smith, it's even better..
Aww! Made my day. Hoping to catch some FWF unplugged this evening at my second home The Windmill.
