The Cop Car is horrifying. The idea they were just chilling in their cruiser when the outbreak occured and they, their dog(s) and the car all melted into one entity just reinforces why you can't be outside.

-The cult is literally everything inverse of all other horror games. Firstly they aren't villains. Secondly, they aren't following some religious idea with no grounds on it, they are scientists who just want to try and understand what the "thing" is. -The additions to the Rat baby make it insanely worthwhile to keep, not just as a morality pet for the player as a source of honest heartwarming in a game full of dourer oblivion, but that said Rat Baby is also a sort of odd "replacement" for Joel's horribly deformed and violent baby sister and adds some comfort to him as well. The other partners being able to interact with it just adds many layers to it.
Also in this version there are no monsters knocking to our apartment doors. In earlier versions, there were 50% chance there will be traders or monsters. I used to grind strange lady for her ring and monster robes. Now You meet different people in need. Two punks can stay in Your room and join team, troubled man ask for healing items and give back money for them, homeless guy ask for food and give back random items later, strange lady looks for her daughter and You can meet her and reunite them. Plus there are few more random people, junk collector, jewellery merchant, random stuff merchant, pizza delivery guy. I wonder if decline helping them will they turn into monsters?
It might be more monsters for door events will be added later as I the dev said on their Discord that they do want some events that could be dangerous.
This game satisfies my fantasy of some dork surviving an apocalyptic situation with the dog, and rag tag group of weirdos that all ride and die till the very end

The dev should give sam a new model whenever he gives up an arm to shows hes lost it (depending on what arm you give up) and that blood will be leaking from your torn limb will follow behind until you get patched up using a bandage. Also i feel like that the more people that live in your base/house, things like bedrolls and bunkbeds should be added to show that people actually sleep and stuff

Yeah when there is a proper ending I think streamers will carry the game up to popularity. It has some interesting premises. There is potential for some cool endings. The mold I've noticed after encountering makes you feel 'great for some reason' and id love to see an ending where this goes wrong. Maybe a rat baby ending, and a hidden cult ending if you find a difficult secret or something.

Is feeding the Wall all of your current food just a red herring? Like, does that option not work. It works but it takes a specific amount of food. Or is there something else?
If you try to feed it all your food it just says "No". That's remained consistent across each version. Once you get some party members losing an arm isn't that bad as Leigh, Hellen, or Xaria can do more damage.
I wanna know more about Rafta, tbh. How exactly did she get stuck in the pipe? Did SHE attack nestor? And if she did, had her mind already been broken and she instinctually attacked? Or was she fully aware and just wanted to "be together" with him in some twisted way?
When you think about all this happens in one apartment building, then imagine all that shit that happens in the whole city or in every part of the world 😰
Even more so, there are a group of characters within this one apartment complex that are still in sound mind and are attempting to make sense of things. I'd like to think there are other organizations that may or may not have had insight prior to the events that have unfolded. Or maybe perhaps there was never any extraterrestrial encounter with earth?
People really need to look outside more in this game called Look Outside. I mean, who plays Look Outside to not look outside? Its like playing Checkers without checking anything, or Football with no groin kicks. Why even bother? The player should really just go outside, take a relaxing breath, and join us join us join us join us join us jo-
Would be interesting if they add a blind or eyeless character unaffected and confused by everything going on, maybe since they can't look at the visitor they can travel outside and retrieve artifacts nearby to give clues as to the conditions and such around the area? Or some optional extra items, maybe try shouting and seeing if other living things respond? Or even use them to show key items held in the air to the visitor because they won't be injured and it may be the best chance of true communication? I hope this isn't predicting one of the astronomer cultists removing their own eyes for said idea...
Only issue with that is that the cultists do make it clear that the visitor is giving off light that is just plain harmful! Additionally, pipe lady confirms that the light of the Visitor still warps you if you’re exposed to it for long enough.
@@declanhanrahan1759 It's stated one of them did look through a heavily filtered telescope at it, and unless hiding it under the robes they don't seem warped by that. If someone with eyes can indirectly look at it, maybe someone without them could have a longer duration looking towards it without getting their organs warped for a while.

But if i had to theorise its likely that he was shown a photo of whatever was outside by something for him to mutate since the doors of the parking are closed. Yeah, there's still a good bit of unfinished stuff that will undoubtedly be polished but it is neat seeing interactions with the rat baby and playing video games with the folks you recruit. Shame I didn't have Hellen and Dan this run as they also have interactions with the rat baby (with Hellen changing her sprite from using the paper mask the rat baby draws for her).

Yeah, it seems Joel and Leigh are the only consistent recruitable folks at the moment and everyone else is random. If you stay around your apartment you'll likely pick up folks quickly (I believe the dev said you get 3x door events per day) but with Joel and Leigh should are usually good to progress (it's just brutal to go solo).
i think super interesting that you can just add a bunch of monsters to your party, it kinda sells the horror way more that these things arent evil, just driven mad by whatever the hell is outside, I feel super bad for the teeth guy. Id assume that in the full game the player will inevitably have to kill the phenomenon or some sort of extension of it for a final boss, which honestly would be kinda funny given how a decent chunk of your party is just a bunch of people who got fucked up by it, a true gang of misfits.
Having to figure out how to recruit party members, unique ways to settle fights with enemies, incredible sprite work, etc. This game really seems like its gonna be a cut above the average RPG maker experience. Really excited for it.
I wonder if you could have saved the janitor if you fought the worm head in the basement EDIT: 2:14:17 if this is what you get if one person looks outside while driving a car imagine what it did to those inside airplanes and helicopters
If I remember right you can't interact with the worm head before the janitor gets grabbed. You can fight the worm up top but the janitor is already mutated as its tongue (and the fight is much harder).
I swear. The game reminds me of bird box so much its nuts. They both have the same kind of thing going on where theres some kind of entity outside thats preventing people from being able to go into the outside world without risking the chance of looking at the entity and having awful things happen to them. The only few major differences is that the entity in "look outside" mostly warps those who even take a look at it in any shape or form into freak or abominations, shadows of their former selves. In bird box, the entity just makes people who look at it go insane to the point they try to k*ll themselves
I've always had this question in my mind that, what if you are blind, and look outside? Technically you are not seeing anything nor your brain is registering anything so that bring ups the question, can someone look outside and be fine if they are blind? Or just covering your eyes with things that would make you see nothing
It is both , like You can look at it and went mad, You can be exposed to it and it will change You too. It is like some unknown kind of radiation. Cultists wear robes for protection and some merchants also got protective gear, but some not and are not much changed like pizza delivery guy.
Good playthrough 👍 I see You manage to solve most disks related puzzles. I wonder is there a good solution to Nestor love letter quest? Was Raffta gone when he goes near that pipe, or was she fooling us all along? Same goes for hamster in cage, I see no point in exposing him to outside video if it ends with changing him. There are enough other offerings to join the cultist group.
I didn't remember to try not leading Nestor to Rafta which if that keeps him away might be the best option, though I suppose seeing the full quest line will determine that.
For the hamster, i took the bit of it sitting there and changing the feed/channel until it changes to mean its possible to record the *wrong* thing, so you need to make sure the right screen/feed is being taped. Seeing that its possible to do so for the paintings as well, i wonder if there will be one or more endings for giving the wrong offerings. (After all, theres no really safe way for the cultists to check what you brought them) Maybe you could give the wrong manuscript as well for the written offering. No idea for how to get the photo one wrong other than to flub the process used to develop the film.
Is the Guinea Pig still in the game? The Rat seems kinda wholesome now, aside from its first words being "Sam". I'm afraid that either Sybil or Jasper will be the final boss, since their stories seem to conflict.
Could be a good thing using cowboyhat or baseball cap(a cap dont allow you see the sky by accident) allow you during the night explore outside the building and farm exp and money for respawed monsters from the streets.
You should be able to sell in the shop on the ground floor. Eugene's shop, despite being bugged right now, is intended to replace Leigh not being available to sell stuff.
I actually thought that danny and hellen were no longer in the game since their the most overpowered in terms of HP and damage, especially hellen, literally starts with 200HP and 34? Of damage with her cleaver, give her the teeth pendent and her attack will reach above 40
I wish you could switch weapons in combat. Distance in combat could be a bit more fleshed out too. Being able to hang back out of range with a pistol or hitting the enemy with a broom while hiding behind a tanky character.
Wait a second I just realised something what happens if someone post of what the entity looks like outside and send it to social media which could happen since if people have seen the entity by a glimpse and still posting on the internet to see outside then wouldnt that meam they can send photo of it online which thats is terriying
In player bedroom there is a laptop and You can use it to check social media in game. It looks like that phenomenon can corrupt internet images so files upload as corrupted or blurry.
I don't think it's possible since once it's in your apartment you can't pick it up to bring elsewhere. Of course, a later patch might give that option.
Lore-wise, the baby rat is already infected it seems. So you'd never know because it would not mutate. Bringing someone that can look at it and still retain their humanity such as Joel and Lyle could do the trick and spare the pig
To be fair he's been changed so much he could have any number of "access ports and plugs" for enjoyment. At that point... is it gay if the usb port fits?
You get the blank disc in the room with the telescope. You need to point the telescope outside, turn the lights off, and put down the blank disc on the image to get the negative disc.

the lady in the pipe got exposed to the visitor while asleep (so she wasnt percieving it). she got mutated, but not insane.

She is basically the only True Trader in the game
you cant sell anything if she join to your team
It makes a good trade off of losing trades but gaining a very strong party member
You should be able to sell in the shop on the ground floor. Eugene's shop, despite being bugged right now, is intended to replace Leigh not being available to sell stuff.

They are still recruitable. I just had rotten luck with people showing up for door events this playthrough.
I actually thought that danny and hellen were no longer in the game since their the most overpowered in terms of HP and damage, especially hellen, literally starts with 200HP and 34? Of damage with her cleaver, give her the teeth pendent and her attack will reach above 40

I wish you could switch weapons in combat. Distance in combat could be a bit more fleshed out too. Being able to hang back out of range with a pistol or hitting the enemy with a broom while hiding behind a tanky character.

Wait a second I just realised something what happens if someone post of what the entity looks like outside and send it to social media which could happen since if people have seen the entity by a glimpse and still posting on the internet to see outside then wouldnt that meam they can send photo of it online which thats is terriying
In player bedroom there is a laptop and You can use it to check social media in game. It looks like that phenomenon can corrupt internet images so files upload as corrupted or blurry.

You'll just damage the boss. Attacking the draft keeps them from doing an attack.

I don't think it's possible since once it's in your apartment you can't pick it up to bring elsewhere. Of course, a later patch might give that option.
Lore-wise, the baby rat is already infected it seems. So you'd never know because it would not mutate.
Bringing someone that can look at it and still retain their humanity such as Joel and Lyle could do the trick and spare the pig

You get the blank disc in the room with the telescope. You need to point the telescope outside, turn the lights off, and put down the blank disc on the image to get the negative disc.
