    Thanks for putting this out, I got mine shipped without any instructions, didn't expect that the IN plug would go into MIDI OUT and vice versa. Got it sort of working on my setup!

      I'm afraid given my experience with this and the experience of most of the people who have left comments, the instructions should read "Do not buy. Do not use!".

      I've purchased a wireless MIDI dongle from Lekato that appears as USB Audio in Windows device manager. It works great, on that one the MIDI OUT connector goes to the output of my MIDI source. The other dongles follow the opposite convention of MIDI OUT to MIDI IN.

    Some Consumer advice when purchasing anything electronical, if the price is dirt cheap chances are the product itself is also dirt cheap. So just purchase and high quality cable, for example if your instrument is made by Roland, Yamaha, or Casio or whatever brand name it is just purchase the midi cable made by that same manufacturing company of your instrument. You'll have to spend some money but it's guaranteed to work and it will last you a long time. ITS WORTH IT, So it will be money well spent.

    • @TripplikitElectronics
      @TripplikitElectronics  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely. If you look at the "Chinese Junk" video I did shortly after this one, I tore it apart and found it didn't even meet the MIDI spec as it had no opto isolator on the input.
      You'll be pleased to hear I replaced it with one from M-AUDIO.

  • @matthewrichards88

    I bought two of these that look identical. One will only work with a usb 3.0 port, the other one wieks on all usb. Both of these units I have tried have the same fault. When there is complex MIDI, using loads of polyphony old multiple channels. This causes hanging notes and even at random have crazy pitch bend issues.
    Mine shows 2 outputs, which o don't understand. Both outputs aeem ro do the same thing. Am I missing something, I don't understand why there are two outputs with just one cable

    • @TripplikitElectronics

      I'm afraid these MIDI interfaces are absolute rubbish! The input isn't even opto-isolated as per MIDI specifications. I would suggest you bin them and buy your MIDI interfaces from a known brand. I went with M-Audio and it has worked perfectly.

  • @steveforwarduk

    of the two I had, one I recently ordered was the newer one, didn't work at all, the older style one (with a treble clef logo on it) fared better, but still didnt recognise my MIDI Keyboard at all. you're better off buying a UR22 or something that has MIDI / Audio with proper drivers. the problem is in the circuit/embedded software, which is poorly designed.
