Congrats with beating Pontiff! Definitely the hardest boss up to this point and a great challenge to overcome! He was originally supposed to be the final boss of DS3, with the opening theme of DS3 was his original music - that indicates how important he is lorewise! Cant wait for the next episode!

He might be a bad guy in the lore, but Pontiff is one of my favorites. The music fits his moves so well

This area specifically is where I sprinted endlessly through everything dying all the time 😅 you took on those whispy tall slender bois like a dang champ sheesh. Ok and super cut of you admiring the environments WHEN??

What a place and what a boss!
The 'fog wall' at the start is actually a barrier to prevent access to Irithyll if you haven't yet got the item that allows you entry. As you already had it you were allowed to pass through.
Also there is some lore around the ghosts roaming around but it involves a later boss so no spoilers!
Irithyll is an epic area, I think everyone stopped to admire the view when they saw it for the first time right after the dark catacombs. That bridge lizard, crocodile, or whatever, is also one of the best enemy designs. However Pontif, was never my favorite, somehow it is not that hard for me, although most people seem to struggle with him. I'm glad to see DS3 has become a challenge for you
Fun fact, pontiff was originally set to be the final boss of the game
Pontiff's Profaned Greatsword is actually a very cool weapon. Weapon skill has the same animation as Zweihander, upward slash that launches enemy in the air, but with added fire effect that also coats the weapon in flames after using it acting like a free pine resin.

I've been enjoying your recap intros these last few videos. Remembering the pain from the last episode is fun!
No spoilers here: Telling Anri the truth or hiding it from him, about Horace, opens or closes certain quests, as you might expect. Anri's is like Ranni's quest, complex and overlapping other NPC's quest. In the end it is best experiencing it blindly, and in subsequent runs making different choices, or watching videos about those quests you missed (like Onion Bro's in the first DS1, one quest I have never been able to finish myself).
Anri? Ranni? Wow, I just realised it's the same name, in that From Soft way: Yura in Elden Ring, Yuria in DS3, Djura in Bloodborne, even in Demon's Souls, which I haven't played, there's one Yuria. There's also some characters called Thomas, Edgar, Irina, Alfred and Patches xD in different games.

Epic boss fight, huge congrats for that win. It was too intense, only Souls games can bring that energy rush after beating a challenging boss. No need to say that's much more fun boss fights ahead. Like always, wish you a great weekend and have a tasty estus soup made by the onion guy... Hmmm...
Hell yeah! The first real masterpiece Boss in this game and from now on, the quality of them will be *quite* high and constant, with just a few disappointments.
Congrats on beating Sulyvahn! He was a solid roadblock for me on the first playthrough, but what a cool fight it is, easy S Tier. He is my seventh favourite Boss in this game.

Pontiff is great! He is the only one who can do fake attacks. Arena is beautiful and great music.

Ah this boss. The first one that made me rage. He attacks almost bloodborne level aggressive 😮 he's either the hardest or second hardest main game boss imo. Intense boss but feels great when you beat it.
Watch out for the next area 😅 it was invader central for me that I had to stop using ember until I got through it all

So this boreal valley seemed beautiful at first but then.... and anyway Sulyvhan is one of the most beautiful bossfight of DS3 once you understand, it becomes like a dance, once learned the steps you'll never forget GG
