My theory about what they mean about moving stuff around is the Forgotten city. I think it will be around the Northern Crater so that the game can end with the those two huge scenarios. I think part 3 starting and then needing to be so close to the reunion would be super weird. I think it is better to have part 3 open with Cloud gone and the party captured by Shinra. Better cliffhanger so that there is mystery regarding Cloud’s whereabouts, the status of the planet, and part 3 will shift gears from the main objective being “find Sephiroth” to “stop meteor and kaiju battles.” Instead of “stop Sephiroth for a few hours then switching gears.”
The remaining summons from the original are Titan, Neo Bahamut, Phoenix, Typhon, Hades, Bahamut ZERO, and Knights of the Round; half of the summons appear much later in the game so I wonder if they will save them for the 3rd part.
A comment on the summons. There were 16 summons in the original FF7. In the Remake trilogy we have 6 of the original in Remake (Choco/Moogle, Shiva, Ifrit, Leviathan, Bahamut + Ramuh). In Rebirth Leviathan + Ramuh have been confirmed as returning (materia received from playing FF7 Remake + Intermission), Alexander, Kujata, Odin and at least one more non-original summon. This means that there are still 7 more original summons left (which may be in Rebirth or in the third title). These are Titan, Phoenix, Neo Bahamut, Hades, Typhon, Bahamut Zero and Knights of Round.
@@Dracobyte Choco/Mog was the wind element so make sense they wouldn't add a second wind element summon. Turns out Garuda was in the original FF7 but as an enemy you encounter in Wutai.
They changed the order so that there a still 2 new cities left for part 3: Rocket Town and Wutai. And one new character: Cid. Keeping the OG order of things leaves you nothing news for part 3.
I know so many people were upset at Remake, it being only Midgard, yadda yadda...but i can't help thinking that SE for once is doing something right. The care put behind all the details to recreate in glorious HD the OG down to the most basic ennemies is commendable. The fates were not a perfect choice but the fact they did bring an element of "what's next" to the story so there is something new for even oldest veterans is not a bad thing to me. Cloud on a segway is instant classic, i am glad to see the game kept some goofiness (Dio's mustache ❤!). I can't wait to be there when Death streams it (if I can make it from Western Australia 😅!)
24:19 - 25:42 I believe that the Hooded man with brown goatee is actually Verdot/Veld from FF7 Before Crisis, the former Leader of the Turks who went into hiding after BC along with the other missing unarmed Turks. Of which includes Shuriken who is more commonly known as Cissnei. Anyways Verdot being present during the Rufus parade make sense some they both have ties to eachother, and he is aware of Shinra’s manipulations. He also has ties to Avalanche as well.
Fort Condor could definitely be placed differently. And don't forget that in the original, after Aerith dies the next thing that happens is you go snowboarding. Weeee! So...yeah...pacing in the original isn't exactly flawless. They could move a few things to come before the Forgotten Capital, and that could also account for Alexander--assuming he's not limited to a Chadley/VR battle--if the snowy mountainous areas come sooner. Wouldn't be surprised if certain things are pushed to part 3 while other things are brought ahead a bit. As far as Cid...it seems to me that you would still have to meet and be introduced to his character earlier on, with Cloud in the party, for his big moments later in the story to really land right and for various character development/party dynamic reasons. Like, even if they wanted to take out the Tiny Bronco and just rely on chocobos (which I don't think they will do as, honestly, it just doesn't seem like 'leaving things out' is in the DNA of this project), there would be a lot to shoe-horn in later on. From Nomura's comment, it does sound like he may just be a 'guest', although it is ambiguous. I always thought Vincent would not be playable until the final part, but I do have to admit that I'm a little surprised about Cid. Then again, 7 fully playable characters (2 of which are entirely new and 1 of which is quasi-new as a full-fledged team member) in a game where you now have to factor in various dual-tech moves, skill trees for each character, etc., could be plenty of complexity for this next part. And that's assuming Zack doesn't end up being playable/customizable in combat sections at some point. Too many cooks could spoil the broth just a bit in terms of curating and balancing the many scenarios and boss fights, and it'll probably be easier to come up with reasons why not every character is always present given the likely nature of the final part (using the Highwind as a headquarters/launch base for lots of side-missions and questing, etc.)
How are they going to end in the forgotten city if the weapons are already released? I wonder if Nomura misspoke/lied a little or if maybe they go back to the Forgotten Capital after the north crater somehow? I don’t know seems weird. I would have thought ending it at North Crater would make more sense.
Also, since it's been confirmed now that rebirth is shipping with 2 discs, were probably going to go through the entire game up until the point where Cid gives you the airship, or rebirth ends with the party entering the crater.
I bet there's some Ancient viewing tank screen at Cosmo canyon and red is explaining what they are seeing. I dont think the weapons will be summoned in this game
@tangiblemammal5273 it wouldn't surprise me, if they started work on part 3 near the beginning of this year, or some time mid/late last yr, & I don't see it being a 100hr experience, maybe 40-60 max. Plus with all the assets they already have from Remake & Rebirth, & only needing to make 1 or a couple of players possible, I don't see it taking as long. Thankfully. Hopefully. But I could be wrong.
I think there's definitely things they want to move around. In particular, the Forgotten Capital and the forest before it never made too much sense as to why it's there. They could easily go through the Northern Crater before they reach the Forgotten Capital.
But that would mean Cloud isn’t present for the Forgotten City as during North Crater he has to fall in the lifestream and be MIA for a chunk of the game, it’s all just really weird that we see sapphire weapon but we are ending at forgotten city
We don't see Rocket Town in the trailer, so I guess that's the thing they changed. Dunno how it's gonna go. Also, getting a glimpse at Weapons already might mean we do a first visit to north crater in this game already.
Couldn't watch it on stream with yall, but when I watched this trailer.. I couldn't believe it, it just looked SURREAL. Everything is perfect in this trailer, I love the fact they just show us everything and also always give us many updates about the game on their twitter. But I think the part that actually made my brain melting was, like most of people, when you see the chocobos.. I just keep thinking about the people saying that it could be impossible for FFVIIRebirth to get all of this and would not be a big world/open-world but a boring one path game. I'm glad they can see how WRONG they were now. Square Enix is really giving us everything about FFVII, and this is HIGHLY appreciated! Can't wait ro pre-ordre the collector.
@@mindxfuneral It happened the very second FF7 turned into a hack and slash fucking mess, in the hope of encouraging 20 year olds to put down Modern Warfare and play this instead. signed FF7 Purist
Pretty sure the doctor IS the Mideel doctor. Not only does the room he's in look exactly the same, but his character model even looks pretty similar. Also, we see another part in the trailer where they're on a tropical island of some kind, which looks like the Mideel island, as that was the only one that had palm trees in the original. The devs DID say we were visiting the locations out of order this time.
also the Zack and cloud at the start are noticeably more battle damaged in the later shot where zack hands over cloud, not sure if misremembering is going on or seperate moments completley
I think the part where Zack hands Cloud over to Kyrie is when they first arrive in Midgar, and in the very beginning of the trailer we see them all cleaned up, possibly meaning they rested for a day or two once they found a place to stay.
I thought so too but it's not him. That is Dr. Sheiran. After the Nibelheim incident, Zangan found Tifa and left Nibelheim with her to seek medical attention. He took her to Corel where Dr. Sheiran saved her life. It's fully explained in the novel Traces of Two Pasts.
Funnily enough in the French description of the preorder page, they don't mention a single thing about the culminating point being at the Forgotten Capital.😂 But yes, incredible trailer! Can't wait to play it! ❤
I hope we can get the pre-order bonus for PC too, which seems to include the Integrade FF7 Remake. I don't own that yet, so getting both part 1 and 2 for $60 or $70ish would be a good deal imo
Your 3 options for Zack didn't really make sense. If Zack survived then it HAS TO BE in a different timeline. It can't be the same timeline without also completely altering Cloud's personality, as his current identity is entirely based on thinking he IS Zack. Which only works if Zack actually died and gave Cloud the buster sword.
You have to remember that in the end of Remake, the main party was in a singularity. Singularities exist outside of time and space, so they can affect what happens outside of it without changing anything on the inside. This means that Cloud can walk out as the exact same person who walked in, even though the world around him has changed.
PERSONAL THEORY: I am pretty sure Vincent will be playable. Not only he is a very popular character, but I am pretty sure he will join before Cosmo Canyon. The one that wont be playable will be Cid, because how late he will join the party (Rocket Town will be near from City of the Ancients). He could be a guest party member.
So, since Remake there is a speculation that Aerith fate might change and survive and that Zack fate also changed and his alive, right? What if is the Zack who saves her?
The part with Zack & Cloud, could be after they catch a ride back from the truck, & after the ambush, but before Tifa got to Cloud. Zacks not there because he just had to go check on Aerith. While Tifa picks up Cloud. Aerith is not there, cause shes walking the streets selling flowers, or helping at the orphanage. Just guesses of course. & of we get to bone village, could we find the key to sector 3, & return, before going to the Forgotten City? Dude in the robe is either ex soldier, a not known about Cetra (highly unlikely) or the head of the next Organization 13. Deepground could be it too. I do notice hes wearing the samr robe as the guys the scientist is working with earlier in the trailer, & the people in robes being drawn to Sephiroth. I cant wait to see what new summons come, since they said there will be summons that werent in OG FF7. I wish we saw vincents face & heard him speak. Im wondering if itll be that Vincent & Cid both arent playable, but help the team like Redxiii, or if itll just be Cid or not. They did that, because thats what the official Playstation Blogpost says.
I bought a PS4 just to play FF7R at launch and then sold it....looks like I'll be doing the same for Rebirth and the PS5 as I'm really impressed with this trailer. Of course, I'll eventually get it on PC as well in the future. Hate exclusivity, but luckily it's pretty easy to resell.
My theory is that world have merged together and that Zack is alive and there are now two Clouds. I’m thinking our Cloud do his normal thing while the comatose Cloud will serve as an antagonist / part of the Reunion kinda thing. Additionally, that may be why they showed Tifa, Barrett, and I think Aerith die in the wreckage because now there’s only one of each, minus Cloud.
Pretty big bias here because I’m a hardcore other timeline/multiverse believer but genuinely how are people explaining things like the scenes where barret, tifa and I think aerith were all seemingly dead or injured in the first trailer for this game something that makes no sense and we have no idea about if it’s not another timeline/universe, as well as Zack surviving where he originally dies and sephiroth literally saying “reunion is where worlds collide” or whatever. Like seriously if you have an explanation I wanna hear it cuz I’m trying to understand. Now I won’t lie that there’s some pretty big evidence that they’re trying to point us away and make us think that a certain characters death won’t happen, but won’t it be an even bigger surprise if it’s someone else? I can see cloud or tifa dying. They’re setting up Zack so much that he could easily step into the role of cloud, they could even hype it up as being just like the original cuz clouds right there and then boom right through cloud instead. Or tifa would just be a complete shock that would still have a pretty big impact. They already faked it with Barrett and frankly nobody else matters that much for it to have an impact. This could absolutely be me coping but I hope that the character who dies in the original doesn’t die here or they at least wait for Zack to show up too if he is so we can see his reaction to it.
One explanation is that our party is shielded by the changes to the world in the singularity. The idea is that the lifestream is made of memories, which inform reality. This is a massive theme concerning Cloud himself and Jenova. Sephiroth is somehow altering the memory of the planet and when the whispers are gone unable to make corrections, there is a rewriting of reality that makes sense with the memory of the lifestream. Since we were in the singularity, we remember the old world. So cloud for example thinks zack died. Yes this would also mean there are two clouds now.
Well you have to remember that even if something doesn't make sense, it doesn't mean it isn't the answer. Square Enix isn't perfect and there are plenty of plot holes in some of the other games, so if somebody really believes a certain theory but there's one or two scenes that don't make sense yet, that usually isn't enough to completely dissuade them, and those things might even be explained later.
@@4-8Productions fair enough but I don’t see Zack or the whispers showing up and being a major plot point in the previous game and Zack being a major plot point in this, as a plot hole. Some things might not make sense but it’s not like they’re not doing this for no reason
@@off-meta-michael this just sounds like another way to say what I’m saying. A slight alteration in the fact that it’s technically one world rewritten by the lifestream but storytelling wise it’s two worlds whether that be two universes, two timelines or two different times in the same world rewritten by the lifestream it’s all the same idea really
@@markdarc0448i see what you're saying, but to me it's a big difference if there are two timelines running in tandem as opposed to one that is altered. It's the difference between Back to the Future and a Marvel movie.

We don’t fight Materia Keeper in the Kalm Flashback. Also gotta disagree that we’re only in Midgar bc they want to reuse assets. That’s where Zack was taking Cloud anyways with FF7 26 years ago. If he’s alive why wouldn’t he continue his journey there?

Can't wait to see what they do with Mog House mini game
The scope of part 2 is mind blowing…imagine how crazy the submarine and space sequences in part 3 will be
The remaining summons from the original are Titan, Neo Bahamut, Phoenix, Typhon, Hades, Bahamut ZERO, and Knights of the Round; half of the summons appear much later in the game so I wonder if they will save them for the 3rd part.
I am surprised Garuda was not in the original. Square could add her on this game or in the next.
@@Dracobyte Choco/Mog was the wind element so make sense they wouldn't add a second wind element summon. Turns out Garuda was in the original FF7 but as an enemy you encounter in Wutai.
“Ok so we’re going to talk about this real quick” **looks at timestamp** 47:54
Listen they showed like 10 million things I tried
They changed the order so that there a still 2 new cities left for part 3: Rocket Town and Wutai.
And one new character: Cid.
Keeping the OG order of things leaves you nothing news for part 3.
I just saw the trailer this morning and immediately checked my subs for this video!
Nobody is mentioning Tifa in the lifestream pre-cloud his dementia attack? Or pre-Aeris death.
They said that you will be visiting the places in different order so nothing out of the relm of what they said.
I've seen people getting to play early demos and I feel like you guys deserve it as well❤
Gi Nattak is weak to Holy at a time there is no Holy attack. We may get Alexander before Cosmo Canyon.
Too many cooks could spoil the broth just a bit in terms of curating and balancing the many scenarios and boss fights, and it'll probably be easier to come up with reasons why not every character is always present given the likely nature of the final part (using the Highwind as a headquarters/launch base for lots of side-missions and questing, etc.)
nice breakdown of the video footage. ty for all your ff7 videos!
How are they going to end in the forgotten city if the weapons are already released? I wonder if Nomura misspoke/lied a little or if maybe they go back to the Forgotten Capital after the north crater somehow? I don’t know seems weird. I would have thought ending it at North Crater would make more sense.
Nomura says in the interview that we go to locations in a somewhat different order than the original.
FF7 Remake isn't a remake. It's a whole new different game.
@@Webby125 yes but of all the things to change this would be a stupid change
yaaay, the man that i really need to hear!
Alexander was at the glacier which was disc2... there's the obvious big summon for the third installment
Also, since it's been confirmed now that rebirth is shipping with 2 discs, were probably going to go through the entire game up until the point where Cid gives you the airship, or rebirth ends with the party entering the crater.
I’m confused. So Rebirth’s gonna end in Forgotten Capital, but we get to see glimpse of Weapons which was in Northern Cave right?
I bet there's some Ancient viewing tank screen at Cosmo canyon and red is explaining what they are seeing. I dont think the weapons will be summoned in this game
In Remake, we saw glimpses of meteor and the party hadn't even left Midgar. They'll make it work.
Great video as always! Are you going to do a video analysis of the FF 7 Rebirth showcase on Tokyo Game Show?
Can't wait to see the highwind. Hopefully part 2, but I'm feeling it'll be part 3, or done like FFX.
Save it for part 3.
And hopefully part three will be out in two years instead of 4 like part two.
@@tangiblemammal5273 I'm sure they will. But they could end up doing like the ship in FFX for Rebirth, & then like OG FF7 for part 3.
@@TH3DUDE0075the devs said the weapon in the trailer is a new weapon that wasn’t present in the original game
''Boring one path world'' i.e you mean like Part 1 of the Remake?
@@wicked-witch-of-the-westdo you wake up early to start hating or does it happen gradually throughout the day?
@@mindxfuneral It happened the very second FF7 turned into a hack and slash fucking mess, in the hope of encouraging 20 year olds to put down Modern Warfare and play this instead. signed FF7 Purist
Pretty sure the doctor IS the Mideel doctor. Not only does the room he's in look exactly the same, but his character model even looks pretty similar. Also, we see another part in the trailer where they're on a tropical island of some kind, which looks like the Mideel island, as that was the only one that had palm trees in the original. The devs DID say we were visiting the locations out of order this time.
Don't act as it is fact. Btw no, he is doctor Sheiran, who healed Tifa's wounds from Nibelheim and he lives in Corel so we probably meet him there
also the Zack and cloud at the start are noticeably more battle damaged in the later shot where zack hands over cloud, not sure if misremembering is going on or seperate moments completley
I think the part where Zack hands Cloud over to Kyrie is when they first arrive in Midgar, and in the very beginning of the trailer we see them all cleaned up, possibly meaning they rested for a day or two once they found a place to stay.
My guess for the guy you thought was deep ground was Glenn from first soldier
And again, Squenix activating the big gun called FF7 to recoup all the losses from their previous failures that 14 and 16 couldn't cover.
That was Gold saucer date with Yufi scene and she was dressed up in yutaka. Humm.. decisions to make on who to go with 😅😅😅.
Always go physical!!!!!!
That's the mideel doctor for sure, Hes being introduced early so that we have some precedents for finding cloud there later on in the story
@@chrism2887 you know what, you're probably right. He doesnt have the mustache!
@@chrism2887They could also make that character have the role of the mideel doctor in part 3
14:08 those images of sephiroth and cloud look different... I wonder what's going on there.
Funnily enough in the French description of the preorder page, they don't mention a single thing about the culminating point being at the Forgotten Capital.😂
But yes, incredible trailer! Can't wait to play it! ❤
Is there livestream that you reaction on the trailer?
I check it on your twitch there's no livestream of it?
I hope we can get the pre-order bonus for PC too, which seems to include the Integrade FF7 Remake. I don't own that yet, so getting both part 1 and 2 for $60 or $70ish would be a good deal imo
There's nothing strange about getting summons (like Alexander) early.
Every summon from the OG that we got in Remake were also early.
You think we have to start all over from lvl 1 and no materia?
Or that old save from earlier game affects anything?
Oh I know it doesn't make sense, but that doesn't mean it isn't a possibility, lol.
PERSONAL THEORY:
I am pretty sure Vincent will be playable. Not only he is a very popular character, but I am pretty sure he will join before Cosmo Canyon.
The one that wont be playable will be Cid, because how late he will join the party (Rocket Town will be near from City of the Ancients). He could be a guest party member.
I think they will build up the doctor character wise before anything dramatic happens this time around so think that’s the Mideel doctor personally.
9:45 Look at... LOOK AT THIS!!! ITS BEAUTIFUL 😭
No hint at Aerith's death...which is arguably the biggest turning point of OG disc 2....is that an hint in itself?
Advent children's voice acting was very over the top. I'm glad the everyone was recast for this
Alexander was like 2nd best summons to Knights of the Round.
It’s not Clouds imagination, Zack has been proven time and time again that’s he’s alive.
I got the notification and I’m busy at the moment. How do I add this to my watch later?
My theory is that world have merged together and that Zack is alive and there are now two Clouds. I’m thinking our Cloud do his normal thing while the comatose Cloud will serve as an antagonist / part of the Reunion kinda thing. Additionally, that may be why they showed Tifa, Barrett, and I think Aerith die in the wreckage because now there’s only one of each, minus Cloud.
Also, the Midgar Zolom just seems... off. It worked in FF7 because I hadn't already beaten Sephiroth to a pulp.
Yeah he felt like an overpowered boss. Now they've made him look like an afterthought in this trailer. No one gives a shit lol
Before I watch this, does it contain spoilers for FF7 Remake because I haven't finished it yet?

I've been outspoken that I was here for the original game, but didn't want a true remake. I'm enjoying the storyline edits a lot.
They fought a materia keeper in the past? During the flashback at Kalm? I thought it was a Green Dragon, & the Materia Keeper was there later. Thats why everyone is confused.
No in the original they didn't, I was saying in the remake/rebirth it makes total sense for them to do so though.
Will any of the games have knights of the round?
Ghost Ship boss fight in Rebirth let's go. The water tunnel in Junon.
how anyone could still think this is anything other than parallell worlds/multiverse is beyond me
In a perfect world, Barret and Red have a combo attack where they both yell "AVALANCHE TIME".
Unfortunately, *this is not a perfect world*
They've already shown Zack at the church without C loud so there is no way this is a figment of Cloud's imagination.
