I gotta say getting Kalen King in the 7th round was a steal! Coming into the 2023 season, he was a projected 1st round pick based off his 2022 season. Definitely understand the underwhelming season he had in 2023 and Senior Bowl performance wasn’t great, but for someone to have 1st round grade talent and fall that hard is crazy. Even Jayden Reed is shocked by the disrespect. I know he will use this as motivation to get better, being in a CB room full of studs will him get better and with Jeff Hafley as DC/tactician working with CBs (Revis/Barber/Sherman), he will get back to his potential!

Evan williams was going to go before the 7th round. As a matter of fact, there was a report that multiple teams were interested in him in the 4th. Evan is a smart player , who I saw make alot of plays. Same goes for Oladapo.

My answer is, no, they did not overuse resources for the S position. With a couple of them being good in the slot, that's double depth for Slot CB and S, which, outside of Nixon at inside CB (not really sure about the signing from the offseason that went under the radar - went under for a reason) and after McKinney, I was concerned about the depth of those positions.

Hopper in my opinion was the biggest reach in this year’s draft, thought he would’ve been there in the 5th rd, but as we’ve seen these teams draft boards are different from us fans😂

I'm frankly shocked that Tony thinks that Lloyd can correct the fumbling issue. Some of his fumbles look terrible, and he has very small hands. Hopefully, he's right

I've been following Tony for yearrrrrrs as a Draft guru. I have to say, he LOVED the Elgton Jenkins pick at the time and is typically very fair and rightfully critical of Packers drafts. This was definitely one of his more favorable post-Packers draft opinions if I'm being honest. AND, well, that should excite us Packers fans. AND, I would say: didn't his Evan Williams critiques scream Micah Hyde?

If we compare ras scores between cooper and warner. Cooper is the most desirable player between the two if you put up their college tape. I think cooper is gonna be a top 10 player in this draft class. GPG!

The Green Bay Packers improved on both sides of the ball during the 2024 NFL Draft, finding big-time upgrades at their most significant positions of need. Green Bay drafted 3 safeties, 3 offensive lineman, and 2 linebackers, moving up and down the draft board to prioritize positions of need. The Packers have the potential to take a massive step forward, and their roster will be even younger than a year ago. The future is very bright for our Green Bay Packers. Most importantly, the 2024 NFL draft class adds competition across the Packers roster. Brian Gutekunst has repeatedly spoken about the need for depth, and the Packers have plenty of that. Between now and the end of training camp, Brian Gutekunst will determine which players make the Packers 53-man roster. Go Pack Go 💚💛

i just don't think Caleb Williams is going to be very good, i think he'll end up like Tua, he'll be great when things are clean and running well, but will fold once things go off schedule.

Lol cooper and hopper are both 230 lbs. I’m sure they are both going to be fine wherever they play. Gute mentioned wanting to have versatile players who can play Mike Will or Sam. It’s not the same game where LBs need to be around 250 lbs. almost all modern backers are around 230

As far as how Hafley will use the 3 safeties, you might want to consider where Hafley coached and how some college teams are transitioning into a 3-3-5 or a 4-2-5 defense. Wisconsin for example will often play with 3 safeties on the field at the same time. A player like Hunter Wohler is used more like an OLB, but sometimes plays nickel, and sometimes plays as a deep safety. They could have Oladapo play as a deep safety a couple of plays, and then drop him into the box and have him play as a LB. Some college programs are playing a slightly positionless football. Wisconsin has used an ILB to play safety at times, they have Safeties that drop down to become LB's, and they have experimented with taking one of their better OLB's and making him a DL on occasion to shoot gaps and disrupt the play.

I had Morgan as the #2 guard after Barton, before Haynes and Beebe starting out, and a future OT after he puts on some muscle. His footwork is great, it'll be hard for any speed rusher to get around him once he gets stronger.

With the growing 2 TE sets, I wish we would have taken the S turned LB Williams out of Miami, he would have been a perfect fit as a multi position player who could cover TE's and slot receivers.

You said on a live chat the other day that Morgan is the better prospect but Tom had the better tape when comparing them both coming out of college. Why is this? Tom had a high RAS and overall very good testing numbers. If he had better tape and overall similar athleticism, why is Tom the worse prospect?

  • @leroythompson1577

I question the Jordan Morgan pick if he’s not a left tackle, then basically use wasted a first round draft choice on an offensive guard that you could’ve gotten the third round the monk guy for whatever reason the Green Bay Packers don’t draft people from Wisconsin. I just it boggles my mind the players that have come out of there and they just don’t draft Tanner bar Bertolini went to the Colts. I think he’s nice day compared to Monk play center and play guard but yet they go and grab a guy from let’s face it. Yeah let’s not Florida State and Georgia. It’s a head scratcher I think they definitely reached on the safety and the fourth round that was a big? The Glover guy I think he’s a practice squad it best same thing for the cornerback king from Penn State quarterback was rated as a third round pick in and some of the mock draft books that I’ve had but I still think at best he’s on the practice squad developing. I don’t think he beats out the back up and then he just does everything good there’s no exceptional arm, strength, or exceptional field awareness serve just does everything good which is OK but I don’t think he beats out the back up thank he’s on the practice squad for a year and to develop and see what what you got with him so that’s just my evaluation of this year‘s draft just a few guys that just do you want to scratch your head out?

I think Edge is the replacement for Quay. I don't see the Pack re-signing Quay after his rookie deal. I think Hopper will be our middle backer. He seems to be able to get off blocks better and is a decent tackler. As for Morgan, please stop with the short arms argument. Bulaga had "short" arms and Bahk was undersized coming out of Colorado (6-4, 285), then both were a tackling tandem for ten years for us and Bahk is a borderline HOF.

    • @chedbeckford8067
      @chedbeckford8067 16 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

I think ultimately Edgerin will be the better linebacker. Just from the tape he has better instincts than Quay coming out of college. I think he'll read defenses better. But I still thing we keep Quay after his rookie deal, depending on the price.

I don't know from where you got that Hopper is a good tackler or that he gets off blocks well. Those are literally the 2 areas he most struggles with, lol. Hopper was in fact one of the worst starting LBs when it comes to tackling in all SEC. However, he is quite athletic, good in pursuit and decent coverage instincts. Also some analyst project some upside as a Special Teamer, though he mostly never played Special Teams.
