it was the last raid the og devs that made wow worked on before they moved on to project titan aka overwatch thats why it was such a good raid

@@genertec Raids will never become bad. They only get better. Although the ny'alotha ending was hot garbage, the boss fights were fun. I didn't play when Uldir or Battle for Dazar'alor released, but i did play Eternal palace and Ny'alotha on release, and, although i didnt do queen azshara or the first 3 bosses and N'zoth, the bosses that i did were really fun to do.
@@genertec yeah lol peopole making it out like raids went to shit after. ICC was good, Cataclysm was amazing besides Dragon Soul. MoP was cool also. WoD? WoD's raids and leveling are the only good things about it, so again, good. Legion had Nighthold and Tomb wasnt bad either and as you said, Antorus was nice also. And BFA had Uldir which was a nice difficulty for a first raid. BoD was my fav raid. EP was good, just the water theme didnt click with some people I guess and Nyalotha is I guess love hate relationship cause of the rushed Lore.

I got Herald back in MoP and honestly, I have no idea how this fight works because we just steamrolled the fight.
Well in MoP you could do it at max level, if you killed it fast enough for some reason it just worked.
They buffed it in BFA (yes, they buffed it directly) AND ilvl squish causes gear to be very weak.
The 7.3.5 level scalling actually causes Ulduar to be extremely easy because you can get a bunch of over-budget gear from Burning Crusade dungeon (fuck ton of gem slot).
To put it in perspective, right now i have all the best-in-slot Herald gear. The difference between a random piece of gear of the same ilvl and the Best in slot that i currently use is like ~5% dps increases.
Prior to ilvl scalling however... it can go upwards to 20%, if i recall for casters/healers, the main hand + off hand combo is like super huge compared to Two-Hand. Not to mentions the wacky numbers of enchants/gems/buffs you can get.
Just imagine this, with best in slot gear and maximum enchant/gems/buff etc, you'd be as equal as someone that Heroic geared and went to Mythic, they're "properly" geared. But NOT overgeared. Prior to ilvl squish, You'd be using using gear that only like 5ilvl below Mythic.
To put it in perspective, killing a star here put everyone to almost ~30% health. Prior to the buff and ilvl squish, it only put everyone to ~50% health.
This was a amazing stream yesterday got my friend to watch and he dosent even play wow

I do this achievement with my friends on a WOTLK 3.3.5a private server, it was incredible hard, but we finally get it before Algalon’s disappear on 1 hour countdown... good times

Wow, when I did Herald of the Titans back in MoP we 1-shot it. The hardest part was getting epic geared without going over the ilvl cap, not the fight itself.
When i did it back in WotlK 3.1.0, it was so fun man! I dont recall the ilvl achiev thou, you just were tasked to do it with current ulduar gear.
@@dr_cachetes6822I have It done in Cata, and was real fun convince people to join, we help each other to level alts to 80, locked exp and rush naxx and shit to get a good gear, then we go in annd after some trys we got It! Its not same as do It in correct time, but we really enjoy the "make in off" and make some Friends on the road, was one of the funniest experience in wow different to the normal high end playing 🤣

The achievement is "No one should have an item over than 100", not "No one should be over 100ilvl" It's not the same thing and that's why they didn't get the achievement. Asmon should have inspect them all^^

Remember this back in the day playing wow. Algalon by far one of my most favorite bosses. Loved healing this fight. Nostalgia makes me want to go back. But just not worth atm :(

its not really a technicality, you have to do every boss and trash before algalon with an 80's group with that ilvl. That is alot of extra time they skipped by not doing it as how u are supposed to.

It says nothing about clearing it up until then. It says kill algalon. Period.

I believe the issue was that their Item level might have been below 100, but not the individual items. Gotta check EVERYONE to see if they have an Item above 100 or not.

Back when it was current content healers had to invest in large mana pools. Yet intellect did not give spell power. So you had to sacrifice spell power for Int.
