Without question, the toughest quarterback to ever play the position, it was my pleasure watching those two seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, thank you.
I hired Joe Kapp to sign autographs at a mall in minnesota I had a private signing with Joe Kapp and my helpers knew how to feed the photos for Joe to sign but then we had a public signing with the promoter named Guy Pulia ........Guy, however, didn't know how to feed the photos to be signed and Joe was starting to get angry and he thought he was being penalized by signing too fast ....He has a hair trigger temper and almost got into a fight with the promoter but Joe was with a friend who helped calm him down

I miss Joe Kapp. When God made Joe Kapp, he took the mold out and broke it into pieces. And though he was beaten up pretty good in Super Bowl 4 vs the Kansas City Chiefs, I always respected the man for his toughness, charisma and leadership ability. RIP Mr. Kapp.
The "40 for 60" line brought back some fine memories of the 1969 Vikings. And yes, they were NFL CHAMPIONS!. You wouldn't want to mess with Dale Hackbart or Lonnie Warwick either.
I thought it meant 40 -players for 60 minutes but apparently the 60 meant for 60 years :)
The Chiefs of that period would not have backed down from Hackbart or Warwick. They didn't back down from the Ben Davidson and George Atkinson of the Raiders, there's no way the Vikings (great team though they were) would back down from Hackbart or Warwick.

Angelo Mosca was a tough guy.....BUT..... so was Joe Kapp....
When Joe & Angelo played, there was much more parity between the NFL & CFL. When TV money came in is when the pay in the NFL far outpaced the CFL. So, the talent level in the CFL was far closer if not more than the NFL at that time.

You can find the play he’s talking about from Grey Cup. It was questionable but not plainly dirty. Kapp is making stuff up.
Utter nonsense and factually misleading. When Mosca (#68) came flying on at Fleming (#15), he deliberately kicked Fleming in the head with his knee. Mosca was already leaning toward Fleming when Fleming was still not quite on the ground yet, so the problem was so much the timing, but what Mosca did as he sailed over top of Fleming. You can see in the footage of the play that the moment Mosca clears Fleming, his right knee is up near his chest. That's because as he lunged, realizing he was going to make minimal contact with Fleming, he used his right knee to deliver a devastating blow to Fleming's helmet. That's why Fleming was so staggered and needed assistance to walk off the field. It wasn't a clean tackle, it was a deliberate attempt to injure another player. Go watch the actual game footage and keep your eye on Mosca's right knee.
Kapp was 100% justified in his disgust with Mosca.

Would have been a better fight if both were in their prime. I don't blame either man. Just happened and Joe seems to have gotten over it.
Why didn't he retaliate in 1963? He waited until the man walked with a cane. I don't know the history, but Joe struck Angelo first here and was definitely looking for trouble. Then he proceeds to beat a man with a cane. How impressive.
Real difficult situation for any man to find himself in. But Joe actually did mess with Mosca in 1963. There's a picture with Kapp clearly confronting him in that Grey Cup Game.
Joe is giving him a peace offering and Angelo hits him with the cane first. Joe defends himself.

I remember the hit on Willie Fleming, he was down out of bounds and Mosca deliberately hit him late with intent to injure. Mad respect for Joe Kapp don't get mad get even.
I was never a fan of Mosca but to call the hit dirty is questionable at best. Show me something that is conclusive in that video or photos that show Moscas so-called knee to Flemings head. What kind of person waits over 40 years to get revenge on person who is now a cripple? Say what you want about Mosca, he has won multiple Grey Cups whereas Kapp has never won a thing at the pro level other then a fight against a cripple.
bzabra Kapp won an NFL Championship...and he didn't assault Mosca, he offered him a flower, Mosca told him to stick it up his ass, Kapp then dangled the flower at Mosca (far from assault), then Mosca hit him with the microphone and in the head with his cane. Kapp simply defended himself. Those are facts.
Kapp, Fleming & team won the Grey Cup the following year against Mosca's Tiger-Cats in 1964. Joe Kapp-only man to play QB in the Rose Bowl, Grey Cup & Super Bowl during career.
There was nothing "questionable" about Mosca's hit on Fleming. As he flew over him, Mosca deliberately kicked him in the head with his right knee. That's what Fleming was staggered and needed to be helped off the field with his legs buckling beneath him. There was nothing clean or questionable about the hit. It was a deliberate attempt to injure another player. Go re-watch the footage, and keep your eye on Mosca's right knee.
As soon as Mosca clears the prone Fleming, his right knee is up near his chest. That's the natural result of deliberately kicking Fleming's head as he flew by. It's physics and it's incontrovertible.

Kapp was horrible in the NFL and average in the the CFL the Crappy Football League it’s on par with American high school football at the best of times and he sucked while Mosca was a numerous Grey Cup winner and All-Star.
