He was just injured this series and still feeling the effects of having a tailbone injury. That’s why his free throws kept missing and his form looked weird. Don’t act like his lack of scoring was the issue this game. It was his free throws and his teammates/coach that lost them the game and series

    I would build a team around this guy without a second thought. As a Boston fan, this is such a refreshing, poised, and humble answer. There are 50 yr olds who would explode at that question and he calms himself down in the moment and puts it all in perspective.

    This is such a great response not just for basketball but life. The reality of the situation is no matter how good you are only one team out of 30 can win it all. The Bucks did great things this year and while this series was an epic collapse it isn’t a failure on the season as a whole.

The Bucks were the favourites and they lost to the 8th seed in the 1st round in 5 games, while being up double digits heading into the 4th qtr of games 4 and 5 and Giannis getting 23 free throws. It's a f*cking failure of highest proportions, he should admit it, accept it and learn from so that they can be better next time, that's how you handles failures.

    A total failure for the season base on expectation, a 1# seed lost to a short handed 8 seed, especially getting eliminated first round in 5 game. But NOT a failure in term of his playing career since he already won a chip. Lmao

    I like Giannis a lot because he's a nice guy and one of the NBA's few humble superstars. Philosophically, I can appreciate his point about steps to success and not being able to win all of the time. But...I think Giannis is terribly wrong in saying the Bucks' season wasn't a failure. The Bucks had a great regular season, they were ranked #1 in the East and they lost, 4-1, to a #8 seed. That's only happened five times before in NBA history. If your team is on the wrong side of something that's only happened five times before, failure is an understatement.
