Thank you! And on the FF point, it really depends what you're used to and what you do with it in my opinion. It was only because I was exposed mainly to FF in University that I can't leave it, but the MFT realm is strong for a reason, it's much more cost effective for lenses (less so with bodies now as FF cameras get older). But that FF look and high ISO quality are definitely real factors for me in particular, especially for photography! 🙂

@@thatjakegriffin Thanks so much for the advice! I really only use it for photography. What would you say is a good starting point into FF with regards to lenses?
I find that bodies such as the sony a7 alpha or mark 2 are, as you say, pretty cheap second hand - so they might be a good alternative to my lumix G7.

I think for lenses, a great starting point is a good zoom on the wide to mid focal lengths, and then a prime for portraits, products or street shots, like the ones that I mentioned. With the Sony system, the great thing is is that they have loads of options for lenses from their range, but also Tamron as well, and especially again if you get a decent secondhand item! Haven't used the older Sony bodies admittedly, but I know their sensors are still great for photos, but their batteries are the older ones which weren't as great for battery life.
I would also look at the older Lumix bodies either like the S5 or S1, especially if you're used to Lumix menus and buttons, but admittedly their lenses aren't as wide of a selection or as cheap yet, but worth looking at on secondhand also.
My best advice though is always try out a camera model and/or lenses from a store or rental company if you haven't used it before (Lumix Loan is great for that as well) as it will quickly tell you how you feel about it and what you like or don't. 😊

I think the new Z6 III is that camera. Stellar stills, and now amazing RAW 6K internal video in many codes/frame rates. Best bang for the buck

Can't deny, the Z6III is hard to ignore, admittedly I recorded this before it was announced! 😅 But I am very excited to get my hands on it and test it out given what it offers!

@@thatjakegriffin - The way you were about the A7 III was how I was about the Z6 II, which were basically identical to the A7 III only difference was monitor, 10 or 12-bit RAW external. But both A7 III and Z6 II were capped at 8-bit 4:2:0 internal which was very limited in what it could do.
I never complained about the IQ our dynamic range as it was top notch but I hit the limits on video constantly. While I liked the Z8, I missed the smaller, lighter body of the Z6. I also didn’t need 45mp. I never cropped, printed, and the noise I saw in the Z8 images and video compared to my Z6 II was noticeable.
That’s why the Z6 iii is perfect. Small, light, fast, and now a video powerhouse.
