- The plaintiff says he and the defendant dated for a year, but she got angry when they broke up and took it out on his big-screen TV by smashing it. He alleges she also has some of his belongings, so he’s suing for the state maximum of $5,000. The defendant says she had to file a restraining order because he tried to strangle her. She claims he’s only suing for revenge.

The defendant claims she broke up with the plaintiff 5 hours before the incident took place. Yet when he shows up and accuses her of cheating, she says she's not cheating- the guy in her apartment is just a homeboy. If she had broken up with him she would have said "I can't cheat on you because we broke up."
And then she says the plaintiff body slammed her multiple times. Yet she managed to just walk it off. She should be in the UFC.

I was body slammed once one time by my guy (100% should have been body slammed lol I was going crazy!!) But I was in bed for a few days because it messed up my back so badly! I don't believe he could have body slammed her and she got right back up like it was nothing, especially if it was multiple times!!

If someone pushes their way into my house and assaults me after I “broke up with them” and thought I was pregnant and told them that (even though it wasn’t true) I am not going over to their place to chill a few weeks or months later. I believed the plaintiff until he kept going back to say "I was calm, I was calm" despite talking about putting his hand on her throat. Then he starts talking about how she was fighting him but also managed to call the police? Then the girl starts talking- didn't trust her... UNTIL she mentions breaking up with him. As soon as she said that, suddenly his comments became more personal and disjointed, can't finish a sentence, sounds more and more like he's lying.
I believe he was just as abusive as she describes because she was also honest about forgiving him, showering with him, and entertaining him after he SPAT on her.

I don’t agree with the way this judge treats the men on this show, bc she always shows unfair bias and fails to believe it’s possible for women to physically attack men first even though studies show that men and women are abused at the same rate!
JM was responding to the fact that he made a comment about being/feeling manipulated by her on that subject. So in my eyes judge gave him solid advice to never leave that type of stuff just up to women, especially one you just met. Also, she doesn't treat men like this normally just when one is this dense and petty. I agree with your last statement but women are more likely to die than a man is in these types of situations. I would have awarded him something due to the fact that he gave her those things believing that she was carrying his child. To me it seems like he was looking out for her (and the supposedly potential child) because of that. Which is why she lied in the first place. @@Lanie-sl9ne ya I once knew a couple that were really abusive towards each other. Sometimes he'd be the aggressor, and sometimes it would be her. I had never seen it live before, but they started getting into it one night and I just walked out before the fists started flying. Wasn't my place to get involved, and as it turned out yeah, she beat him up that night using a weapon of some sort. She got arrested. So I think that guy just ducked out because he knew they just deserved each other and knew they were about to get into it yet again. If they're both abusive, best to just not be involved at all, imo. Maybe if it's family or there's kids around.
