installe aluminum radiator in my escalade because in the summer the engine got very hot, but I did not think about the winter, the engine does not reach the right temperature and sometimes it turns off, what can I do in this case?
Hey Yony, it sounds like your thermostat may be failing. Thermostats restrict coolant to the engine block so there is minimal flow to the radiator before the vehicle is warmed up.
Firegod1234 Thanks for your question! Although this radiator will definitely help with cooling efficiency it has not been proven to fix the LLY cooling issue. Several other factory components have defects/issues which cause the overheating concern and should be addressed first. Let me know if you have any further questions!
@@mishimoto , I'm listening. I called a diesel shop and their first recommendation was your radiator. But I'm thinking there are other issues re: air intake or perhaps oil cooling that might be more important. Your thoughts on the LLY cooling issue? Towed my first fifth wheel and ended up BEING TOWED at 9,000 feet on an extreme grade because of the overheating...
Gregg Edwards Townsley change the intake mouth piece to turbo intake you can use a LBZ or a aftermarket S&B also exhaust and downpipe can help it’s all about getting that airflow in and out of the lly hope this comment will help
Yep, all I pull is the shroud, fan, and such off, then slide just the radiator out. No need to pull most of this stuff off. Just more work and more stuff to get broken doing the job.
I used method for my stock replacement radiator. Thank you for posting this without it I would have been lost.
nismogizmo You're welcome! Please feel free to email us at sales@mishimoto.com if you need further assistance!
Nailed it! Thank you so much!
can you do this again for a 2018 Duramax?
This is something we are currently looking into. Please feel free to check out our engineering blog for any future updates. engineering.mishimoto.com/
Is there a rough time estimate for this?
On average you would want to set aside 3 hours for the install.
Would this mishimoto radiator fit a 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500hd 6.0 gas engine?

Is this considered to be a fix to the LLY overheating problem?

Does anyone know if the flexalite electric fan kit will still fit on the lly after installing the thicker Mishimoto radiator?
Man this job is so much simpler than explained on this video did not have to pull off half of the stuff that was said to pull off

I didn't even pull the fan just the upper half of the shroud. Out and in in 35 mins.
