I love how you were so speechless after the Star vs finale because it was so bad but you were so speechless at the DuckTales finale because it was so good
Fun fact, in the original series April, May and June are Daisy's nieces, they were meant to be Huey, Dewey and Louie female conterparts. But i love what they did here for them ^^
@@BlueOrder When they were making DuckTales, they decided two sets of triplets would be confusing for viewers, so they introduced Webby instead. To that effect, in the Dutch translation of various Disney Duck properties, both the Duck girls and Webby were renamed for localization, and funnily enough, April and Webby were both renamed "Lizzy." So the connection between them is interesting on several levels.
Just going to list a few of the many amazing moments in this finale you might not have caught. 1. When everyone was theorizing about Fowls plans, launchpad was the one who got it 100% correct. They were putting people in boxes. 2. At first glance May and June kind of blend together as characters but despite everything else going on the writers still took the time to give them somewhat separate personalities. If you really look at each of their lines you'll find that one of them, May if I remember correctly, is very invested in finding out their purpose. She wants to know what they were made for. June on the other hand is more focused on webbys family history. 3. The timing in Bradford's speech and slideshow strongly implies that he had a hand in Duckworth's death. 4. I never watched gargoyles but Manny's I live again line was a reference to it. I think he even has a voice actor from the show. 5. Louie finally taught webby to steal soda from funzos after failing the first time they brought her there. Kind of a minor thing but it's hilarious how proud he looks about it. Feels like soda should be free at a party though... 6. April, May, and June are Daisy's nieces in the comics. Sort of female alternates to huey duey and Louie. And now two of them are probably going out to sea with Donald and Daisy (and maybe storcules if he manages to tag along)
fun fact! 35:04 ("Donald Duck" "Uncle Scrooge") is mirroring a line said in the first episode when Donald takes the triplets to Scrooge's place! Except here they're on much better terms :) Anyway I really enjoyed this series it so much. I felt all the hype I did the first time I watched watching your reactions now. I can't wait to see what else is to come :D
everyone knows about the heartbreaking line of ''This is a family matter, you are not family'', well somehow that line got even more heartbreaking with this episode
The only word i could form after seeing this PERFECT ENDING was DAMN. EVERY SECOND OF THIS FINALE WAS SO GOOD. Im legit SPEECHLESS. Bro with this series ended i feel like so empty inside.
@@averydiaz1668 Yeah, there's a point where Bradford talks about getting rid of some of Scrooge's allies and an image of Duckworth appears when he says that.
I got emotional watching your reaction, at first I wasn't too on board with Webby being Scrooge's "daughter" but still loved the finale, over time my thoughts settled and I think it actually makes a lot of sense, even if it was meant to be rethorical or literal, Beakley is the BEST grandma in animation, change my mind! LP as a pilot/gizmo was so well deserved and gosh Bradford was truly the most dangerous villain by being so lowkey for as much as he could, the story in this show is on another level and I love it so much Excited to keep seeing your next reactions, don't pressure yourself and keep up the good work blue, you rock!!!💙 ALSO! there's supposed to be a new Darkwing duck reboot, most of us want it to be by this same crew so they can keep Drake, Launchpad and Gosalyn like we know them now plus it would bring back Negaduck (Jim from the duck knight returns episode) but we don't know yet if the crew is confirmed to work on it, which is a little disheartening but hopefully it does follow the steps of Ducktales 2017 😢
I sort of thought it was a cop out in a way to make her actually related to the family also. But I've kind of come around to it, I think it was more meant to give Scrooge a new found purpose rather than give Webby that sort of family connection. Because she already felt like she was family before this, and the only thing that made her question her own place was May and June.
The plot twist of Webby’s being Scrooge’s daughter was handled amazingly!! this was a phenomenal reboot, and I hope that more reboots continue taking stuff from it. (I like to think She-Ra is another recent example of a good reboot that, despite its problems, is still beautiful). I still can’t believe how long it’s been since it ended
God, what an incredible adventure Ducktales 2017 was. I was not prepared to fall in love with this show as much as I did. Easily a top 10 or even 5 show for me. While there were some weaker episodes, none of them were close to bad, with each episode having great character dynamics and comedy gold. And what a finale. Closes almost every plot line and character arc (the only character they kinda forgot was the original Darkwing actor going evil but that was probably a season 4 thing sadly), and is just a great reminder of why these characters are so amazing with great chemistry with the rest of the cast. This is easily my favorite episode of the show and serves as such a phenomenal last triumph for the story and characters. While I still wish a season 4 was made (since it would have been a Webby centric season), I’m glad it ended while it was in its prime and we still got 3 season of an almost perfect show. Also these reactions have been such a great way to relive this show with some hilarious edits. What a wonderful ride that I wish could’ve gone on for a little longer.
I tend not to comment on TH-cam but oh my I just need to state how much this reaction series has ment to me over the last years. Your channel and this series is always my go too when I don’t know what to watch. I adore this show and the charm and humor you brought to every single episode was immaculate. I will absolutely be staying with your channel as you keep going with and start new series and thank you for making these reactions. They really are fun and bring a smile to my face every time without fail.
A few things for the unfortunately last time: 1. You know it’s the finale when there’s no jokey memey thumbnail or a funny edit near the end. 2. May (the yellow Webby clone) is voiced by Rikki Lindhome. She alongside Webby’s VA Kate Miccucci, form the comedy folk duo Garfunkel and Oates. 3. Manny's transformation is a reference to Gargoyles. Not only with the opening theme playing during said transformation, but also his VA Keith David was the voice of Goliath in the show. 4. There were a lot of things I predicted in your reaction from you freaking out over Donald being dropped, being shocked at Bradford telling Scrooge about the Spear of Selene, playing the recorder at the beginning (even if it was after your reaction), and so forth. I love being right. XP 5. If you want more DuckTales after the finale, check out the This Duckburg Life podcast, the shorts, the comics, and the art book coming later this month (the latter of which, as I said, would be a good source for the eventual review 😉).
Not only is DuckTales 2017 objectively THE perfect reboot (and as such deserves to be used as a blueprint for creating future reboots), its series finale was pretty much a perfect series finale too, or at the very LEAST it came extremely close to absolute perfection that an episode made by humans could come to. Like seriously, it ticked ALL of the boxes that you'd expect from a series finale and then some. It even incorporated every major and minor character we'd seen up to that point into the plot, and they all had a role to play to bring Bradford down. Even MANNY for crying out loud! I mean, what a twist! This show is so good with the tiny details. Speaking of Manny, another element they incorporated from the Disney Afternoon was the show Gargoyles; you can hear the show's theme when Manny's true form appears, and the person who voiced Manny also voiced Goliath from the same show. Like you said, this show was definitely a love letter, not just to the original DuckTales but the whole Disney Afternoon that aired alongside it. And for that, this show will forever be one of my favorite shows ever made.
The Last Adventure is one of my favorite finales to any TV show, in the modern day. It does. Everything a finale should do; wrap up character arcs, conclude the villain and their defeat, and give your audience one last hurrah for everything you've been through. And I immensely appreciate the team behind the show for making such an open-ended ending, basically confirming that the gang is going to continue going on adventures. I know the series was cut short, but you could have fooled me that this is where the team wanted to end it.
Ever since I saw this episode I was waiting for you to get to Launch-Chad's big scene where he becomes the hero he'd always looked up to. Also this series is one of the only ones that could do something cheesy like "Family is the greatest adventure of all!" to defeat a villain and it would still make me smile from ear to ear.
Interestingly, in the original series, Launchpad activated the suit during a press conference to clarify he's not Gizmoduck when he unknowingly said the catchphrase. Guess you could say the crew threw in so many references in so little time, whether well-known or obscure.
I still miss this show very much. But what I miss most is the characters we may very well never see again. Ones like Lena, Violet, Boyd, Storkules, Manny, Penumbra, etc.
I had to rewatch the ending credits over and over, because of how perfect it was. The final episode itself was nearly perfect, (Though I wish Louie had more of a role) and it perfectly embodies why this is a perfect reboot, of not just Ducktales, but of the Disney Afternoon overall.
Imagine if they included a post credits scene. There’s an aerial shot of Duckburg and we see Poe De Spell in his raven form flying over the town. I just think that would’ve been a perfect callback to the first scene of the series with the seagull flying over the bay.
The original post credit scene was Glomgold pretending he changed and saying he wanted to become Scrooge's nephew but he realizes nobody is there to hear him so he leaves
Ducktales 2017 is such an incredible show, and an amazing reboot hands down. The writing and how they included so many references from the original and the other old shows was so awesome! This show was indeed a great example of how to reboot a series right. And it was great to watch you enjoy it Blue Order! ^^ There is supposed to be a Darkwing Duck reboot (not sure of any updates) but I sincerely hope they bring back the peeps who made the Ducktales reboot for it, that'd be super cool! ✨️💙
Can we just put the fact that Mannie is played by Keithe David, and that thing where he turns to a horse is a gargoyles reference (playing the theme song in the background and having the original VA ). Very very good and dark show. Also, this show is a love letter to 90s cartoons and I love it! So glad you reached to this
This show was so damned good and they even pulled off a fantastic finale! So, Blue, Dandra Dee helped save Doland Duck from being erased from reality forever. Forgive her? XD Also, it's been a lot of fun watching this series with you. Thanks for sharing with us.
We come so far This was the best adventure we have ever been on Thank You to all the people that work on DuckTales and Thank you Bule Order for your funny reaction videos
This truly was the greatest adventure of all. An amazing reboot with beautiful plot and a perfect conclusion. Even with the ability to be able to adventure even after canon ends. I was happily singing the theme song to the end credits, snapping my fingers along the way.
This was so amazing like the montage of all the intro dancing, the story and your reactions were so amazing, It's cool to see how much you loved and im happy I got to see all your reactions to this amazing show! Sad that Bradford didnt get snapped tho 🤣
You've reached the end of my favorite show and currently the greatest reboot of all time! Congratulations!!! It's hard knowing there's no more episodes, but the wonderful and brilliantly-written characters this show brought us will continue to live on in our memories. Although it's been many, _many_ years since you began, joining you on your journey through this show was like enjoying it all over again, and brought me many comforting and delightful memories. Thank you, Blue. As always, love your phenomenal content! Can't wait to see your upcoming Avatar reactions
Ah yes, the final episode. The series finale. The one with a LOT of twists and turns. The one series where Blue is happy and satisfied until the end unlike SVTFOE. I'll reply the most enjoyable moments after this comment.
The ending made me realize that Ducktales is truly over. It didn't hit me when I first watched the finale. It was a blast watching this show and your reactions. May Ducktales cement itself as one of the greatest cartoons over. (Also I just wanna point out that it was heavily hinted that Bradford killed Duckworth in the scene he's interrogating Scrooge)
Duck Tales 2017 might be the best reboot but can we talk about how incredible this commentary video is! All the callbacks, the Easter Eggs, the inside jokes, the montages 💝💖💝💖 the editing is such a love letter to this series 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Thank You so much for taking us on this journey with you, and totes excited for the future adventures with you!!! 💖💝💖💝 10/10 *chef's kiss*
This was an amazing journey. I just want to say thank you for putting your time and work into these reactions, it makes me really happy seeing people who enjoy Ducktales 2017 just as much as i do.
Despite being cut short I think the show ended the way the creator wanted. Bradford was there from the beginning the true overarching villain. He had a suit and everything. Villainous masterminds are the best villains. Webby being a clone of Scrooge was actually hinted in the very first episode (where Webby points at something while a small statue of Scrooge is seen pointing as well) meaning this was planned from the start. The creators new exactly what they were doing with this show and in the end it managed to end on a high note and having on of the best series finales ever like Gravity Falls and unlike sOmE oThEr ShOw
19:40 Blue should never become a father But in all seriousness, I'm so glad you reacted to the series. These videos are some of the funniest ones on the platform 🤣
When DuckTales got cancelled, it made me so sad that I kinda stopped watching the show for a while. I've really enjoyed finally watching the last episodes along with you through these videos!
"Family truly is the greatest adventure of _*OH NO THE GROUND-*_" Love how the reboot truly came around full circle back to that line. When I first watched the reboot a few years ago I felt it was rushed, but after revisiting it through this reaction (and after I've gained a few more braincells lol) I can tell that it was paced and executed perfectly. So many nice fanservice moments, so many beautiful emotional scenes, and it was all wrapped up so wonderfully. I think I thought it felt rushed because I was really looking forward to a Huey-centric season, and was just frustrated that it didn't develop him as much as it had the other two (cool now I have another reason to hate disney add that to the list :y). The team behind this truly did the best with what they had, tenfold, and the loose ends and story beats that they managed to tie up in such a short amount of time was so well done. I've really gotta go and rewatch the series now that I'm better at appreciating art and media, because even with this abridged viewing of the show I can feel the emotional impact of these scenes even years later. And thank you so much for these reactions as well! The comedy, vibes, and personal experiences and thoughts you add to these episodes are amazing. It feels sort of like a good remix, with how even though the original product is amazing, the different version that adds its own flair to the original is also amazing, having its own distinct identity while still being heavily linked to the original, if that makes sense. The joy these vids have brought me isn't quite indescribable (with a large-enough ramble I could probable do it >:p), but I still wouldn't trade this experience for the world. So thanks for uploading these reactions, and don't worry about it taking a long time or anything (stuff happens ¯\_(:T)_/¯)! Can't wait to see what videos you make next! :D 👍
Blue I just want to thank you. When I first got into DuckTales during the pandemic you were the first reaction channel I started watching and now that the reactions are over it hurts me as much as the finale did. Thank you for the amazing reactions and content you gave us of DuckTales over the years and I hate to see it end
I just want to thank everyone for the wild ride we were on, I was lucky enough to watch the show since the beginning, this show and others shows that blue reaction to made me realize that I want to create a animation show of my own someday, this show will always be in my heart until the day I die, thank you Blue for helping me realize why I love this show so much.
this finale's fantastic and im still so sad that this show was cut off before it was ready to end, but real quick, i just wanna say that like that i can see Quackerjack at 27:51. hes my favorite Darkwing Duck character and seeing him just makes me happy :D
Thank you for making these reactions blue Ive really missed this show and your series has given me a new chance to enjoy the show again in a diifernent way
Since season 1 was focused on Dewey’s arc, season 2 was focused on Louie’s arc, and season 3 was focused on Huey’s arc, I wonder: had we gotten a season 4, would it have focused on Webby? I do also like how they managed to cram like all the characters into the finale and tied up so many loose ends with so many twists & turns in the whole thing.
First off, I just want to express how ecstatic I am that I found your channel. You’ve very quickly become one of my favorite content creators and even though you’re finished with this series, I’ll continue to stick around for your Avatar reactions, reviews, etc. Now these are two of my interpretations about what happened or what was said in the finale that could be completely plausible. Knowing what we know now, I believe Bradford was the one who wrote Della’s letter that said “Scrooge, I’ve taken the Spear of Selene. I’m sorry”. It doesn’t make sense for Della to write that letter if she really was just taking the rocket for a quick joyride and planned on coming right back. I also think Bradford must’ve been very skilled at calligraphy if he, in fact, did write it. He’d be able to duplicate Della’s handwriting with no problem. Not to mention he might’ve attended the same calligraphy camp that Huey mentioned in “Louie’s Eleven”. We do get a blink and you miss it moment of reconciliation between Webby and Lena. At the end when Lena and Violet made the friendship bracelets for May and June and after Donald basically adopts them, it immediately cuts to Webby staring upward and smiling. What else would she be reacting that way to? She’s happy her sisters are being accepted and they’re getting along with her best friends.
Ok, ok, unrelated, but I was having a horrible week, and this literally just elevated it ten fold. Ok, long winded sentimental story here: When I was small with my little sibling, one night we were drop at our uncles house, and we REALLY wanted to watch a movie. He decided to show us a movie about a character from a comic book series our dad use to buy for him and the rest of their siblings: Ducktales the movie: Treasure of the lost lamp. Honestly, my sibling and I knew who Donald was, via association with Mickey. However, we had never heard of Scrooge mc duck or webby or mrs B, or even the great launchpad. Needless to say, we loved it. 3 years later, during a Christmas party at my home, my uncle as a present he bought on my Wii U (yes, I’m cringe) the ducktales game remaster. I played it for 4 hours at the party with many of my cousins watching, I was loving scrooges personality, and the other characters. (I later beaten it after being tortured by count duckula) I eventually decided to watch the original ducktales myself, and many other old Disney afternoon shows. Although there were many ups, the show also felt as if it waned overall due to time, 2 decades being a lot. (Oddly enough, darkwing duck is still very much rewatchable in current times and doesn’t feel as affected at all) Then one day I heard of the reboot being developed. And smiled ear to ear. Honestly, I’m glad this reboot exists. It made me feel probably what others felt when they were children watching the original when it was fresh. I’m so glad this is the best example of a reboot to date, and even happier to see your reaction to it! Whatever you watch next, I’ll be here 100% of the way! 6:35 I see you were able to sneak one last one in, huh?
This show was such a wild ride, definetly one of the best examples ever on how ro reboot a show. It's probably the second funniest show I've ever watched with jokes that managed to make me laugh for minutes straight, emotional moments that managed to bring me to tears and plot points that I would've never seen coming. The humor and the characters, specially the characters made this show what it is, the way they bounce and interact between each other is spectacular. It will be missed and remembered fondly
I never expected to love this show, especially since it was released around the time as Teen Titans Go and Powerpuff Girls 2016. I was initially worried that this reboot would destroy what made the original series great (even if, like you, I never saw the original) and be on par with those reboots I mentioned. I’m so glad my worries were gone after the pilot. And because of the finale, it made me a big fan of the show, from TH-camrs like you, Seaniccus, Isaac Carlson, and Oh Geeez, the cast and crew truly caring when making this show, and so much lore and references they squeezed in cleverly and perfectly. To you and others, it’s a perfect reboot. To the creators, it’s one big love letter to the Disney Afternoon. To me, I consider this show this generation's TMNT 2003, a classic series reimagined for a new audience. Following the finale, I’m glad I found you thanks to these reactions, and your hilarious edits and expressions in it made the journey worthwhile. Can’t wait for that big DuckTales review soon. And as my final word to the show… to Matt, Frank, and everyone else, thank you. Woo-oo, indeed. :)
Seeing you go through all of emotional beats of this episode was soooo great and I loved every second of it. And thanks to your edits and humour it felt like I was watching the finale for the first time again. It made it a real joy to watch thank you blue for sharing your reactions with us.
Binge watched season 3 these past two days since I saw you upload this video, and I’m so glad I did. I didn’t know a show about a bunch of ducks could elicit so much emotion from me :,) this show was one of the best things I’ve ever seen and I’m grateful for your reactions to it as well!
Great reaction! What an amazing finale! For me it a little too cheesy in places, but even then worked so well! It is quite sad that this show didn't get more episodes!
Kinda silly thing: after season 2 finished airing, I started playing with some headcanons regarding HDL's birth father (especially since that has very little canon--even Della being a pilot/astronaut was in the comics, but after hours of googling, all I could find was that their birth father's name is Jamie and in some continuities, he's Daisy's brother), and as the finale neared, my friends and I joked that the show was going to crash all my headcanons in the last episode I was first in my friend group to see the finale, and I had way too much fun trolling them by saying that "Dad? You're alive?" was a quote in the episode
Your reactions helped me through some of the hardest moments of my life, i am so glad i kept watching your reactions for, well, this long. This adventure may be over, but there is always another one right ahead to experience, blass me bagpipes.
Oh my gosh Blue! I was about to do something else entirely! Glad to see you upload but sheesh! Also, spoilers for anyone here that hasn’t actually finished the show, but: I still cannot belive Bradford lost to a metaphor
One thing that really surprised me about this finale was how they managed to make room for a major character moment for EVERY main character which ran smoothly through the episode. Like, that would seem implausible given the runtime and the number of characters but the DT17 crew managed to do it
It’s here, it’s arrived! I genuinely wanna say like, thank you, these videos have been so fun and a practically jump whenever I get a new notif for them. This show will always be super important to me and will always hold a special place in my heart. So seriously, thanks for watching this stupid duck show
Honestly I only started watching this show because of your reaction videos. I'm so glad that I did, this is up there as one of my favourite series. I'm going to watch this video after I get some sleep, but thank you Blue!
Damn seeing this reaction is gonna make me cry (haha it did) damn what a journey I'm glad I found your channel dude I'm glad someone like you found ducktales 2017 because it's one of my favorite shows ever
This was an amazing series to follow. I love this finale more than I can say, it's amazing. Great reaction as always Blue, thank you for watching this show
This show was so amazing, and I’m glad I was able to experience it along with you! You are a great TH-camr, and I can’t wait for the shows you react to ahead! Keep moving up, man! 😊
Man I really loved this show and while It's not a perfect finale, i still think it was a pretty good sendoff to the best reboot disney has ever attempted
it's been so awesome watching you progress and react through that show ahh the finale was amazing I genuinely couldn't ask for more i'll miss that show soo much :')
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR REACITNG TO THIS WONDERFUL SERIES!! your reactions always make me laugh and it really does brighten my day whenever you upload. I cant wait to see what else you react to!!
a 40 minute video... Time To Feast (Its sad to see ducktales go so early, it really was a great series and it was awesome having the chance to ride this train)
I miss this show so much, the crew put so much love and detail into every second and it shows. However just because it's over doesn't me it will be gone forever. There is so much duck content out there: a small line of official 2017 comics with original stories with lovely art, there's chibi tales, and this Duckburg Life which is a 10-15min podcast with Huey hosting and talking about typical days in Duckburg which is like mini original episodes of the show (very reminiscent of season 1 though). Not to mention the official artbook is coming out soon and while expensive it would help support the crew. While not the reboot, I highly recommend reading some of the older comics like Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck because that's where they pulled a lot of the inspiration for the show. The Italian comics are even still running today and they have a whole AU centered around Donald if he had a Superhero alter ego called the Duck Avenger/ Paperinik and if you find English translations, they are hella charming.
I remember when they announced this show was coming out and when it actually premiered but I didn’t watch it. Then one day, I was scrolling through TH-cam and DuckTales content was filling my feed even though idk why because I wasn’t watching anything Disney related. The videos were mostly the “Spear of Selene” episode. After a few days of seeing that, I ended up checking out the pilot episode and after I finished it, my first thought was, “Okay, that was actually pretty damn good.” I binged the first season just in time to get caught up before season two premiered. I love this show and I’m so glad I gave it a chance. It’s on the same tier as Gravity Falls imo.
Watching the Ducktales 2017 finale made me feel a similar way to when I first watched Weirdmageddon, upset that one of my favorite Disney cartoons was ending, but satisfied with how much care (plot wise) the show was given
I kind of adore how Donald was made in this series, since it's the closest thing in animated Disney cartoons where they capture how Donald is in modern comics, where he has essentially replaced mickey in everything but brand name in who is the actual main protagonist or face of them, alongside scrooge a lil bit. The way he isn't the protagonist of the series, since he wasn't in the original cartoon at all, yet they show how despite everything he is kind of the heart of the family and a crucial crux of the series whenever he is focused on is super cool. And the fact he is the one chosen specifically by the bad guy as a sacrifice to hurt scrooge as much as possible and he is the one that first puts himself in front of everyone to protect the family..... *Sniff* they get itttttt. Honestly, the thing thing I am not 100% down is the fact most of the time Donald is used in the first season and daisy the focus isn't on him being an underdog or cursed with having eternal bad luck so his extreme efforts to do good to everyone around him often don't work despite how much he cares, but just cuz he has a weird voice.
There is too much perfect about this finale: Bringing in Daisy’s nieces, Webby’s arc, the humor, Ludwig Von Drake, the comedy, all the loose ends being connected, Bradford’s fall to villainy, the OG villains showing him what’s what, Double OO Duck returning (I knew you’d like that), and Manny being freaking Goliath! (Real talk: if you have to react to any Disney Afternoon show, it has to be Gargoyles) My only real complaint is that we didn’t get to see the rest of Lena and Manny vs Blot. I’m guessing it was due to time. And if it had to be that or Launchpad’s heroic moment, I would take Chad over the side characters unfortunately. Still that’s just one tiny complaint in an otherwise perfect finale. I’d say as a whole this show failed………………In falling from grace
Honestly I miss this show so much. This was amazing and honestly I’m sad we had to see if go but all things must come to an end and I’d rather it not end like game of thrones
I gotta say that, in spite of all the circumstances, with the early cancellation, that the Ducktales crew made Season 3 one of the best final seasons in any recent animated show. From the callbacks and references, to the characters, old and new, to the high stakes and thee incredible story, it's a truly fantastic experience beginning to end with "The Last Adventure" being the culmination of all of that. I fully agree with the sentiment that I will truly, deeply, miss this show. It was one of the best. ...also, with OK:K.O. and Ducktales 2017 both being able to turn an early cancellation into an incredible final season, it makes the last season of "one show" look even worse. You could say the gap in quality has been "cleaved" even further.
idk if anyone explained it in the comments but webby being april is a meta joke/reference to the fact that the og webby was based on april may and june nieces to daisy and foils to huey dewey louie so its cool that the show went full circle on webby's story
DuckTales 2017 is a Perfect Reboot
Agreed man
One of the best reboots I have ever watched
It is amazing, I was hesitant when I first watched it, but after the first episode ended, I wanted more and more.
TRUUUU
What about the recent blue order reboot "the constant uploads saga", I think that's way better
I love how you were so speechless after the Star vs finale because it was so bad but you were so speechless at the DuckTales finale because it was so good
Strange one, but feels better
Fun fact, in the original series April, May and June are Daisy's nieces, they were meant to be Huey, Dewey and Louie female conterparts.
But i love what they did here for them ^^
Perhaps im looking too much into it, but in that case I really like the metacommentary they gave by making them LITERAL canon clones lmfaooo
@@BlueOrderdude you Didn’t recognize the Gargoyles reference with manny when he transformed
Some heros don't where capes
@@parkerturner1018 I don't want to be "that guy," but it's wear.
fun fact! 35:04 ("Donald Duck" "Uncle Scrooge") is mirroring a line said in the first episode when Donald takes the triplets to Scrooge's place! Except here they're on much better terms :)
Anyway I really enjoyed this series it so much. I felt all the hype I did the first time I watched watching your reactions now. I can't wait to see what else is to come :D
I love how every single missing mystery played a role in the finale
everyone knows about the heartbreaking line of ''This is a family matter, you are not family'', well somehow that line got even more heartbreaking with this episode
The only word i could form after seeing this PERFECT ENDING was DAMN. EVERY SECOND OF THIS FINALE WAS SO GOOD. Im legit SPEECHLESS. Bro with this series ended i feel like so empty inside.
Honestly, I wish I could put into words how much this series meant to me, and how many times imma rewatch it, thank you all so much for the laughs.
Can we just talk about the fact that during Bradford‘s speech it’s heavily implied that he killed Duckworth
He really was a villain all along, just in denial because 'it's for the greater good'
Ayo? Really? I didn’t catch that
@@averydiaz1668 Yeah, there's a point where Bradford talks about getting rid of some of Scrooge's allies and an image of Duckworth appears when he says that.
@@nickthedreamer4434 holy crap
@@Leader7353 that’s the worst type of villain
I got emotional watching your reaction, at first I wasn't too on board with Webby being Scrooge's "daughter" but still loved the finale, over time my thoughts settled and I think it actually makes a lot of sense, even if it was meant to be rethorical or literal, Beakley is the BEST grandma in animation, change my mind!
LP as a pilot/gizmo was so well deserved and gosh Bradford was truly the most dangerous villain by being so lowkey for as much as he could, the story in this show is on another level and I love it so much
Excited to keep seeing your next reactions, don't pressure yourself and keep up the good work blue, you rock!!!💙
ALSO! there's supposed to be a new Darkwing duck reboot, most of us want it to be by this same crew so they can keep Drake, Launchpad and Gosalyn like we know them now plus it would bring back Negaduck (Jim from the duck knight returns episode) but we don't know yet if the crew is confirmed to work on it, which is a little disheartening but hopefully it does follow the steps of Ducktales 2017 😢
Also, wait if Webby is Scrooge’s daughter does that mean she’s Huey Dewey and Louie’s aunt….?!
@@Mirthful_Panda It's cousin, if she was Della's sister she'd be their aunt
@@Buggabooos OK yeah thanks for clearing that up like Magica said “you have a confusing, family structure”
30:08 _“How do you think Della found out you built the Spear of Selene?”_
Yeah, that reveal got a similar reaction out of me. I was PISSED.
They made DuckTales podcasts called This Duckburg Life with new stories so listen to them when you miss the show
A few things for the unfortunately last time:
XP
I like how at the end you mixed in the theme with the original DuckTales nice touch there my friend.
I still miss this show very much. But what I miss most is the characters we may very well never see again. Ones like Lena, Violet, Boyd, Storkules, Manny, Penumbra, etc.
Maybe manny
I had to rewatch the ending credits over and over, because of how perfect it was. The final episode itself was nearly perfect, (Though I wish Louie had more of a role) and it perfectly embodies why this is a perfect reboot, of not just Ducktales, but of the Disney Afternoon overall.
Had a terrible week. This is literally the only thing that is going to cheer me up right now.
XD
Also, it's been a lot of fun watching this series with you.
I love how you keep offering the suggestion of killing the villain in a kid's show. It's fun to hear the ways this can turn R-Rated.
You're despite the Ducktales finale feels weird but satisfactory
The ending made me realize that Ducktales is truly over. It didn't hit me when I first watched the finale. It was a blast watching this show and your reactions. May Ducktales cement itself as one of the greatest cartoons over. (Also I just wanna point out that it was heavily hinted that Bradford killed Duckworth in the scene he's interrogating Scrooge)
38:43 is his most genuine expression of depression sinking in.

Love how the reboot truly came around full circle back to that line.
God seeing this finale still gives me chills. This show will still forever be my favorite show of all time.
this finale's fantastic and im still so sad that this show was cut off before it was ready to end, but real quick, i just wanna say that like that i can see Quackerjack at 27:51. hes my favorite Darkwing Duck character and seeing him just makes me happy :D
This was half focused on webby
@@jacktheflash8478 According to the creators, the show was secretly focusing on Webby.

Ok, long winded sentimental story here:
When I was small with my little sibling, one night we were drop at our uncles house, and we REALLY wanted to watch a movie.
(I later beaten it after being tortured by count duckula)
I eventually decided to watch the original ducktales myself, and many other old Disney afternoon shows. Although there were many ups, the show also felt as if it waned overall due to time, 2 decades being a lot. (Oddly enough, darkwing duck is still very much rewatchable in current times and doesn’t feel as affected at all)
Then one day I heard of the reboot being developed.
Its been a journey. Glory to the best Disney show to Ever Exist
I find it kind of hilarious that your go to solution for villainy is just to snap the neck! 😅😅
Binge watched season 3 these past two days since I saw you upload this video, and I’m so glad I did. I didn’t know a show about a bunch of ducks could elicit so much emotion from me :,) this show was one of the best things I’ve ever seen and I’m grateful for your reactions to it as well!
Oh and ofc, DOLAND MY BELOVED YOU ARE TOO PERFECT
Great reaction! What an amazing finale! For me it a little too cheesy in places, but even then worked so well!
It is quite sad that this show didn't get more episodes!
It's honestly nice to see a positive reaction to a finale from you, Blue.
5:58 I like how The Prisoner is over 50 years old and shows still keep making fun of the "security balloon".
Kinda silly thing: after season 2 finished airing, I started playing with some headcanons regarding HDL's birth father (especially since that has very little canon--even Della being a pilot/astronaut was in the comics, but after hours of googling, all I could find was that their birth father's name is Jamie and in some continuities, he's Daisy's brother), and as the finale neared, my friends and I joked that the show was going to crash all my headcanons in the last episode
I was first in my friend group to see the finale, and I had way too much fun trolling them by saying that "Dad? You're alive?" was a quote in the episode
It sucks that it ended, but at least it was good all the way through, and had a banger final episode.
This show was a perfect example that reboots can be done right if enough love is put into it.
One of the best reboots I have seen of a show. So much work was put into it and was just overall enjoyable to watch.
Your reactions helped me through some of the hardest moments of my life, i am so glad i kept watching your reactions for, well, this long. This adventure may be over, but there is always another one right ahead to experience, blass me bagpipes.

Also, spoilers for anyone here that hasn’t actually finished the show, but:
I still cannot belive Bradford lost to a metaphor
One thing that really surprised me about this finale was how they managed to make room for a major character moment for EVERY main character which ran smoothly through the episode. Like, that would seem implausible given the runtime and the number of characters but the DT17 crew managed to do it
It’s here, it’s arrived! I genuinely wanna say like, thank you, these videos have been so fun and a practically jump whenever I get a new notif for them. I miss this show so much, the crew put so much love and detail into every second and it shows. However just because it's over doesn't me it will be gone forever. There is so much duck content out there:
a small line of official 2017 comics with original stories with lovely art, there's chibi tales, and this Duckburg Life which is a 10-15min podcast with Huey hosting and talking about typical days in Duckburg which is like mini original episodes of the show (very reminiscent of season 1 though).
Watching the Ducktales 2017 finale made me feel a similar way to when I first watched Weirdmageddon, upset that one of my favorite Disney cartoons was ending, but satisfied with how much care (plot wise) the show was given
So when are we getting to work on the review? >:)
There is too much perfect about this finale:
Bringing in Daisy’s nieces, Webby’s arc, the humor, Ludwig Von Drake, the comedy, all the loose ends being connected, Bradford’s fall to villainy, the OG villains showing him what’s what, Double OO Duck returning (I knew you’d like that), and Manny being freaking Goliath!
(Real talk: if you have to react to any Disney Afternoon show, it has to be Gargoyles)
My only real complaint is that we didn’t get to see the rest of Lena and Manny vs Blot. I’m guessing it was due to time. And if it had to be that or Launchpad’s heroic moment, I would take Chad over the side characters unfortunately.
Still that’s just one tiny complaint in an otherwise perfect finale. I’d say as a whole this show failed………………In falling from grace
Yup
Well this it. I love Ducktales and it was amazing seeing all of your reactions. I'm going to miss them. Thank you Blue

I felt the moment of silent emptiness in your soul after the credits finished lmao, that was exactly me when I finished it
And we meet an end, I actually haven't watched this series at all, can't wait to binge all of this some day.
Goodbye Ducktales.
