Wow, when you had the initial "light bulb" moment, I honestly had no idea of what the insufferable problem you were trying to solve for. But it all came together! Great idea!
Not particularly interested in bikes or machine shop projects.....but for reasons unknown I enjoy these vids. This bike doesn't seem to be too well received in the comments but I think it's awesome.
What tends to happen is that people who don't seem to know the channel comment on how impractical the end results are.
They're missing the point that engineering is a dying art and so is experimentation. If only they knew how much of modern civilisation is built on someone being curious and stumbling on happy accidents!

Watch the first 30 seconds for the "light bulb," then skip to the last 30 to see what the bike does.
Funny idea and nice realization, must have taken a lot of work to make all these slipper holder plates. Gotta mention some safety violations, though: 2:36 - should not wear gloves while operating a drill press, should clamp the part, especially when it's non-deburred (so, sharp-edged) sheet metal. Should at least have held it with some locking pliers.
I gotta ask, how does it ride off-road, on some single track? Or downhill? :)
