I have spent my entire life 50+ years on the northern California coast from Mendocino to Del Norte counties including Humboldt and a patch of Sonoma. I have been to the coast in United Kingdom and Italy. Combed the sands of Oahu and Maui and I have never found a sharks tooth, despite my life long ambition to do so. I have found all manner of shells, sea glass (Even in Great Yarmouth), and drift wood of all colors, sizes and shapes. Agates, Jade, Tourmaline, and numerous other rocks that have been tumbled by the surf. But I HAVE NEVER FOUND a sharks tooth nor have never seen a horseshoe crab. I am putting on my bucket list before i leave this world to go to the East Coast and find a darned ole Sharks tooth!!!! Awesome find awesome video!!

Definitely come to Topsail Island. Apparently Topsail, NC and Venice, FL are hot spots for teeth. You can also go dig for them in the lowlands of SC. This was on an island just south of Topsail, that you can only get to by boat. But we have water taxis here that can run you over. Or you can just walk Topsail Island, I’ve found hundreds of teeth here over the past few years.

Been waiting for the fossils part of the channel...my wife and I hunt and collect sharks teeth at every beach we go to. So far Topsail has been the best.

You should hit up the Aurora Fossil Festival on Memorial Day weekend. They'll dump phosphate mine material in front of the museum for the festival and they'll keep it untouched until the festival kicks off. Lots of quality makos, chubetensis, snaggletooths, various tigers, and the occasional megs or cow shark teeth in that formation. The teeth in there are brittle, but never had any ocean tumble erosion. Nice finds and solid video!

That sounds like fun!! I usually hibernate on MDW, trying to avoid beach tourists…. Maybe I’ll check it out this summer! Thanks for the tip!
