Hi guys! This may be the most succesful video so far on my channel and I'm so proud and happy for it! Thank you for appreciating my video; it definitely motivates me to continue despite the struggles...For anyone following my content, I apologise for not uploading recently, but I'll be back for more! Again, thank you so much!
Some of the episodes were really dark. So much so that Episode 9 has a warning at the beginning, saying that the episode is not recommended to children. Needless to say, don't watch The Journey of Elaina if you're too young lol.
@@KekaTheOtaku Hey at 1:20 we audience thought that she was very young thats why she was rejected by a lot of witches. But in actuality her mom is Nikhael and she wanted only her disciple, The Stardust witch to teach Ellaine. Thats why she warned everyone of the witches in the town to not take Ellaine as their disciple.
Out of every video/analysis/review that I've watched regarding the essence of this anime.... No one thus far, except you, has come close into understanding its entirety as a story and its message/lesson.... A hidden gem you are
I really love the anime, I could not find the Web novel/light novel ,and the manga has only 4 chapters(;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`) And I hope the teaser will actually lead to season 2
Thank you this is one of my most favorite anime but when ever I try to look or search for best anime worth watching this gem never comes in light this truly makes me sad thank you sooooooooooooooooooo much for recognizing this gem love you really so please i beg of you never stop creting your content ,
Watching this when t came out felt like I was flying through a fantasy world away from the pandemic and over all hell that was 2020 it was so immersive that I just felt free
I really want to love this anime. I like the premise and ideas that are presented in each episode, but the flipflop between tones kinda threw me off. And I find that Elaina doesn't really change as a character. Anyways, good video :D
Thank you for the comment. It is true that Elaina's changes in her character aren't really noticeable, the LN did a much better job at portraying her character development. But I believe that the anime does a decent job at portraying her reactions and inner thoughts about her experiences which is what I meant in the video. Elaina doesn't show these character traits, but while you have her own descriptions about each small episodic tale, you can kind of understand her own personal view which emphasizing on her own experience and therefore the "lessons" she could learn per se...
You messed up with the princess one, she sacrificed her own memory to lock herself in the castle and make her father a beast to kill everyone in the Kingdom because he killed her hold and the cook she fell in love with
This anime has my name on it! the heck?! I haven't seen the anime so If I were to watch it I would be going in completely blind... and for reason stuff like this that have to do with the journey of Elaina, keep popping up in my reccomedations.
oh! and now I'm actually starting watching it... more than likely I won't be watching the entire show but I want to at least dip my toes in it... I mean it has my name on it... so why wouldn't I?
okay so after watching the first episode yes I believe so I have a lot in common with the Elaina in the anime, especially with the lesson she has learned as well.
I suspect that she is a time traveler as well. I think the book that inspired her to travel was her own diary. Also guy in the town with the wall even says it's her. They quickly keep silent when she says she doesn't know them.
@@be7038 I wat Check the last episode the other day. Not sure if the manga/monga is different but she is indeed a time traveler. Not exactly sure how it works with her mother and teacher but it is heavily implied. Does make since though being that her goal is to travel.
my first and last anime..i think..this is my only favourite anime..i won't forget the storyline..yes look like i am a simp..but..yes that i am..so i love elaina..she is my favourite..elaina-san
Is it me or this anime is kinda bipolar? This is not necessary a bad thing when the dark episodes picked my interest just enough for me to start caring about Elaina and the small cast of recurring characters.
Yup, I believe so...Elaina has some realistic traits attached to her personality and the sort of twist in the setting where there's this ominous side to the world in which you may find some messed up tales from townsfolk and for me it was a pleasant surprise since you could expect a boring plot with a boring character...Sure Elaina may be pretentious quite often but she's aware of the world around her whilst expressing her thoughts for each adventure...But I agree, the author does not give a definitive approach/tone about the anime...it is funny how I've been discussing this anime with other people and many disliked it for Elaina herself...I understand where people come from when they say they dislike her, but for me, I think it is a bit natural having a witch who has always succeeded throughout her endeavors to be somewhat pretentious and arrogant...The other characters are pretty much the definition of supporting characters since the story is not focused on them...maybe aside from Flan which is justified since she appears multiple times and had a certain impact on Elaina's character...But that's just my view ofc :D, sry for long text! xD
@@KekaTheOtaku Imo people are just so used to for the flawless heroine to get involved against wrongdoing and to save the day. It is true that Elaina could've done more in the dark episodes but she is not a heroine, she is an observer just passing through but that somehow gets involved. Also there is a lesson within these dark stories and it has more of an impact towards the viewer when there is a bad ending.
I like it because it criticizes current society a bit or that of several decades ago, from my point of view. and she is quite a human character who makes a lot of mistakes but tries to be normal and keep improving
Really good animie. Rated much worse than it should be could not find out why for a long time. Basically a bunch of people keep 1 starring it because it does not follow the manga exactly. I got curious read it i actually like the animie better she is too bitchy in the manga I don't think it would have came across well spoken out load especially.
Not a good Anime. It's very Dark. Starts of pleasant but starts to turn dark and plot and main character starts not to make sense whatsoever. Plus too many plot holes. So to the next person curious about this anime, DO NOT watch!
Im sorry you can hate me but I hate the main character for ingoring the feelings of that girl who is clearly in love with her, leaving that slave home like that, leaving that town to die frome the flower people, and Especially the abuse time travel one where they showed nothing of the abuser of being anything good even though she was a victim and know knowledges that
You're free to like/dislike the MC, it is your opinion...there's definitely a touch of narcissism to her character and personally it gives a bit of flair to her. Though some decisions she takes midway through is sth that I'd ve done differently. But then again, it is these kind of touches that give an unique touch to her, instead of being the "good" girl of the show as many would expect.
I didn't watch the anime but the Nino part... I feel like she could've helped her , even though I don't know how , the chief was scared of her , so she could've put a spell on him? Tbh Idk , she's realistic after all.
I used to have that same view on anime shows with no plot clarity...those can be called slice of life shows...I understand...this anime is not meant for everyone.
@@KekaTheOtaku I'm really more into animes with a deep story behind them. Watching these animes keeps me motivated to follow the story, but I lose the motivation once the story is bad or when there is not really that much of a story.
