Also, it is interesting to see how history repeats itself, so it teaches us what not to do, and what to do in the future. Also, it can be really interesting to know how our world, society, and stigmas are/was formed, and that's why it pairs so well with other subjects like geography, English and politics! I love history if you can't tell, so I am a bit biased lol, but genuinely, even if you don't like it, that much, it is usually good to know roughly how ur country was formed and major wars, etc etc :)

I literally just hated learning history and it was not giving me a little reason why am learning it, hmmm this video changed the Way I used to think about it but i still didn't understand why we have to learn about ancient stuffs which where like thousand's of years ago ? Someone explain pls.
I will. History is for us to learn from the mistakes of the preivous people (and yes, how we exist). History is kind of like, the MOST important subject to learn, as it provides you with wisdom and it shows you what NOT to do. That's how I see it, so please, if someone can explain it better, do not be a bi-€h directly to me. But anyway, I hope this helped. Instant edit: It shows us to be grateful, because we live in possibly the greatest era of the entire human existence.

I think its funny how history (his -... /story), is specifically in reference to humans. But when I think of geology, it is the Earth's HISTORY. When I think of astrophysics & astronomy its the "HIS STORY" of the stars. Maybe English man's label for history is in need of a meta-label. Or maybe because human history actually has a core common connecting point. All these stories lead back to a unified event. So our formulation of the his -story can even be placed in description of what he is deeply connected to. Does this imply our history transcends the study of (humans ) us? Is that why they formulated it that way? School makes me think. I just cant stop LOL
