I think between scenes Vi returned to the commune and let her know/ convinced her. It doesn’t look to have been that far. It’s just a voice line saying that “Your not gonna like it.” but it explains why Jinx didn’t jump the gun as soon as she saw Caitlyn and Singed enter the building. It’s possible that Vi told Caitlyn she had help, but didn’t tell her who it was. Hence Caitlyn’s surprised hostile “You!” once she gets her bearings. I think Vi didn’t tell her because otherwise Caitlyn would likely backpedal once she found out that A: Jinx was involved and B: Vi was working with her and considered Jinx her sister again.

Which is why she doesn’t fire a third time, instead trying to outmanoeuvre him so she can put him in a position where he can’t block which is why she seems to be targeting the glaive. She’s attentive and perceptive, it just wasn’t quite enough.
The thing i noticed is that hes not blocking the shots. Hes neutralizing them. Whatever runes are on his weapon its like theyre dispersing the magic in the shots. Never seen anything like it Its like its a weapon specifically designed to combat mages
It looks to be an in-game item called Kaernic Rookern. An anti-magic talisman that disperses and absorbs magic. Ordinarily not a good item to face down the physical damage/attack speed heavy Jinx but this is Lore vs Crunch and she doesn’t have the minigun.
Taking Papa Wolf to a new level. Rictus, Ambessa and to an extent Singed missing an important detail. That this is not a beast, this is a man. A father. I don’t think it ever occurred to the Noxians what exactly they were hunting. And it was so satisfying to see this brutish asscrack pay the price for it.
Speedster Jinx confirmed? Okay, yeah, I LOVE SPEEDSTER characters, so if anything, my headcanon is that she's a speedster in the Arcane universe... Of course, she is kinda slower then Zeri, but Zeri has to keep amplifying herself based on lore, so the same could go for Jinx, both sharing a similar gameplay, one based on the ever thrilling madness of the Adrenaline and the other being ... She was in a worker family, and her connection to Electricity rom its every notch and jolted cranny, proves to be all the All-Spark of her Speed. In conclusion : DRUGS!!!

Notice how Rictus caught her braids exactly like Vi did? I think that (along with Isha's death) is a big reason why we see her with her braids cut off in the trailer. She's sacrificing style in favor of practicality which is so unlike the character we've known so far.
You know what bothers me? the guy could have just swung a cross attack downwards and got jinx. but my guy cut like he was darius or something. PLOT ARMOR.

In another case, if both of them fought bare knuckles, without weapons or anything, Jinx wouldn't have a chance either. Rictus' strength is incredible

Jinx is also absurdly fast, the fight literally shows Rictus not being able to keep up with her speed, so he grabbed her braids instead of her.
