The poke cakes I make have you poke and add the second step while its still warm. I wonder if that would've helped. The meals all looked delicious! I will be trying a couple but cut in half for me. Thanks Kim!
The slow cooker meat burrito you made -Ditch the tortilla. It is great with carrots and potatoes over egg noodles. Sort of like a beef stew. Everything looks delicious. Food Network don’t k ow what it’s missing!!❤
For the poke cake, I always mix up the filling right before it comes out of the oven so I can pour it on while the cake is still pretty hot. The cake always seems to soak it up pretty well. Maybe try pouring it while the cake's still hot next time 🤷🏻♀️
That's what I do! My grandmother made a poke cake with yellow cake mix, cream of coconut and sweetened condensed milk with cool whip on top. She always did it while it was still warm. I need to make that cake, just thinking about it makes my mouth water! 😂😂😂😂

I made some Parm chicken yesterday and for the first time I am making Chili and cornbread tonight! It will be something new because in Europe we don't usually eat Mexican food or flavours but I know it will be great! Thank you for the inspiration! Next week will be the pasta and garlic bread!

I've always added the "sauce" to the top of poke cakes when they are still warm... so that may have had an effect on it? Also... I find wooden skewers are the best size for poking. ☺

If I bring my own chair and some brownies,can I sit down and snarf some Wads dinner?! Looks so amazing. The pasta one is epitome of creamy and dreamy and the pulled beef looked great. Grilling a marinade is always great and two ingredient garlic bread. So did that one come out like bread inside as it wasn’t tan like bread when done. I loved the two ingredients for the actual bread idea if it was good. You kicked butt on the diverse recipes and keeping them approachable and not too much work. The best was the happy squeaks and squeals and game playing from the wads clan and the good ratings from Alex. You’ve become the queen of family dinners. Hope you guys have a chilled weekend. 😊

My fav cake growing up was a poke cake my mom used to make and she always used the wooden spoon for the holes and it was a choc cake with choc pudding and whipped cream. Now its my sons fav cake but the wooden spoon makes the holes big enough so the pudding goes down into the cake and makes the cake so moist and delish

I made the corn flake chicken and it was a huge hit. We used the crushed corn flakes - we are thinking of making and freezing them for quick chicken sandwiches.
I learned to brine chicken breast and it’s a game changer, goodbye dry chicken. I just let chicken breast sit in salty water for about 30 minutes, so easy.
