I just bought 2 laptops for black friday with the same internals, but one is very compact with premium build quality. The other is big,cheap, and loud. The loud one gets 99.4% consistency on 20 tests ran back to back. The thin one only got 91% because the thermal throttling decreased performance at one point. The bigger one also gets about 10-15% better performance, with the same hardware.
I plan to buy an HP victus 16 with the Intel Core i7 13650Hx processor and RTX 4070, but does it have good cooling? Or would it be preferable to have a PREDATOR 16 with i7650HX and RTX 4060
@@doridori727 Well, it's enough for the Predator 16, only it has the RTX 4060 and the HP Victus 16 has RTX 4070, I just don't know if it's worth it, for the difference of $250
I took 2 game dev courses using an RTX 2060 laptop 6 year old card. Its fairly decent. So a 4000 series should be a BIG BOI upgrade and have no issues.

I loved my ROG Strix. Word of warning. DO NOT RUN IT VERTICALLY. I bought a vertical mount to run my G15 on external display with its lid closed. Within 5 days of buying the vertical mount, it overheated. When I took it apart, all the liquid metal ran off the CPU and GPU die and there were black marks on both of them. People say liquid metal is not known to leak in a vertical position and cite the PS5 as proof. Well, my laptop was a beast for 2 years straight until this vertical mount. Th liquid metal was pooled at the bottom, consistent with vertical position. RIP.

yea I rather my laptop thermal throttle than be loud! who needs the best performance from the components you have if the fans are going to turn on?!?!?!?!?!? (If your gaming laptop doesn't have loud fans, its either performance limited, or running too hot)

It's a great laptop like the one we reviewed but ve aware that screen quality is the weakness of it

lenovo, cooling is basically the same for almost all gaming laptops. but lenovo easily wins when it comes to build quality
