I still don't think we're getting anything this year. I think it will be January at the earliest. But I wouldn't be surprised if Nomura was scheduled to appear just to get everyone talking about it again.
This is also true, is very possible. Then again it is unpredictable, this year feels a lot like 2014 during that weird Kingdom Hearts 3 phase. Remember, we also have jump Festa 2023. December 17th to December 18th. Which is a another possibility
Tokyo Game Show and D23 are my two biggest bets! And I kinda had a feeling that we wouldn't get much information of KH4 until this September, however I don't think we're gonna get much information here either. Most of the KH stuff we'll see is probably gonna be stuff for "Missing Link" which I'm convinced is going to come out next year followed by the fourth main installment in 2025 (they confirmed it shouldn't take as long to finish the game and the devs have been working on it since 2020 before it was revealed on April 10th of 2022 so I think 2025 is a viable release date). I think we're only gonna get another KH4 trailer teasing a bit more of the story. They won't really start promoting the game until late 2024 and early 2025. "Missing Link" on the other hand, expect a bunch of stuff regarding that game for the rest of this year and the beginning of the next until it comes out, or at least that's what I hope.

I think the question is does Nomura even deserve to make KH4? With KH3 feeling like a half-assed way to finish off the Nort Saga, and that it mostly focused on plot that was made from a [[[PHONE/BROWSER GAME LMAOO]]] certainly leaves a bad taste for fans of these characters. Now, Nomura's taken over Kingdom Hearts and sold out a years-long story in which the fans (in order to keep up with releases) could have spent thousands of dollars, just to make Versus13??? It shows how little he's learned as a developer. In Nomura's defense he's pretty much apologized about this through multiple interviews. But I can't shake this feeling that we, as fans, got sold out just so Nomura could make his baby game. Nomura should have just decided to make Verum Rex and left Kingdom Hearts to someone else entirely. This guy acts like he's Kojima, but missed the part in MGS4 where Kojima actually wrapped up everyone's story. It's like if MGS5 was revealed to just be Death Stranding featuring Solid Snake. But looking at the trailer for KH4 doesn't make me excited. It makes me think it's just... over? Like, look at this gameplay and graphics. How do you make this game? Is there enough budget in the world to make a game look and play that good? Can a game even look and play that good without some serious drawbacks? It just doesn't feel like a game that CAN come out. Ever. And I will be shocked if it actually hits shelves and looks as good as it does in the trailer at least visually. For someone who's made a series about how special and precious hearts are, Nomura sure likes to toy with them.
That is a fair rant and I totally agree here. There's many things we have to look at, quotas, the fans, and release windows can be the reasons for the rush of a game. Maybe master Xehanort will return in the story and get proper closure. I'm not the biggest fan of the mobile games as well, but the story is actually pretty good for the mobile games. They have to build hype and give fans what they want. Non-spoiler trailers, show off the badass combos, and have consistent interviews to update us. I love Metal Gear Solid 4 as well. Honestly i prefer it like this cuz the problem of Kingdom Hearts 3 is that we already knew about almost every thing through the trailers so less trailer's for Kingdom Hearts 4 the more surprised we are going to be or maybe like trailers with hints in it but not a like a big mouth drop hint
You see I totally agree, screenshots, gameplay Snippets, showing off some badass combos are well deserved. Kingdom Hearts 3 did pretty good for advertising without scrolling until around 2017 to 2018. The 2013 trailer wasn't revealing, neither was the 2015 trailer. They can follow that formula to Building hype, it wouldn't be too revealing. Maybe consistent interviews would be good enough too, maybe some updates.

It's about due time for some information. Square Enix should drop a Kingdom Hearts 4 trailer or at least some information during Tokyo game show. I feel like they have canceled Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link. I dont know thats just me 🤷🏾♂️😅. I feel they've canceled it, or......they incorporated it into Kingdom Hearts 4/IV's storyline. Or, they couldve made it its' own title. 🤷🏾♂️ Im not sure. But, I feel like we will eventually hear somrthing soon. Remember.....Nomura mentioned earlier this year or the end of last that this year (2023) will be the year of "7/VII." I feel he and the team arr putting in a lot of their work and resources into Final Fantasy 7/VII, and once that wraps up they will shift gears back to Kingdom Hearts. We may get a trailer at the Tokyo Game Show, but I feel it would only get our hopes up. 😢 This is just my opinion, but I feel we're going to have to wait until January of next year (maybe February - March) to get some more news and information.
