That Fire Blade really really really needs a Dyno tune. That flash tune unlocked the power but the bike was not actually tuned so the super computer brain inside thst thing is still not set up right. This is why I always say dyno tune is a must if you want your bikenat it's best.

I'm sure the CBR's safety features were kicking in. Should've tried turning torque to "0". My CBR will cut power in first if you give it too much with the systems on.
Also, unless you had your ETV settings changed in the flash the bike won't go full throttle when you ask for it. Could've been going only 25%. The ETV table has to be changed to actually get full throttle on the newer CBR's.

I'm only up to Joshs first attempt & everyone else isn't giving it enough throttle at take off your taking off like your used to as if your at a stop light, the bike has launch control & wheelie control its designed to be revved to the max & then you let the clutch out slowly & the bike conveyors the rest, if it thinks you're trying to launch & you're not giving it enough power to do so it won't work well

Many youngsters don't know this but Josh's Suzuki GS1100E was a big step forward for Suzuki that placed them ahead of their Japanese 1100cc competitors. 4 valves per cylinder it had better low end and midrange than the other 3 mfgrs with the same top peak horsepower. Overbuilt to handle MUCH more power than stock. That Suzuki powerplant is the groundwork of the "Gixxer" powerplant.

You guys should do the drag strip thing more often. I'd have loved to have my '88 GSX1100F out there with you.
My personal thoughts with the Fireblade are that it's got to be so high up in the rev range for the power to come on that it's going to bog every time at the revs you launched at. Either that or that exhaust and tune you put on it did more harm than good?? A stock Hayabusa (even an older one) with that great bottom end torque would have clobbered it. ;)

it prolly wont wheelie hard in track mode. that's prolly why it cuts the power, so that you dont lift the front end coming out of a corner...

Why didn't you use launch control on the cbr? Also, from what I've seen, only yammie actually uses the quickshifter

I LOVE MY 2007 CBR 1000rr… MINT JAPCRAP PERFECTLY STOCK minus the fender eliminator & flush mount turn signals… FACTORY CLEAN…! and It’s totally Fast enough for Me…! I’ve had it up to 161 and I never wish to go that fast on a street motorcycle honestly… I’ve matured since the days off making nitrous aspirated drag motorcycles and turbocharged death traps… I humbly enjoy My life now at a safe speed. I promised My new wife I’d never go over 150mph😂 The truth is you can die at 15mph… The objective is to not die at any speed…! Dear Bikelife… 🙌🏿🙌🏻🙌🏾

Now I’m more of a car guy that likes bikes but in a car a lot of times you need to turn the traction control completely off for hard launches. Just a thought

The runs the GS did the clutch was slipping unless he was what we call riding the clutch here in Europe , Would be interested to know who did the flash on the Blade ? because there is something wrong with the setup if you had it on the Dino after the flash this issue would have shown up , i know of no other US spec SP that does this after a flash along with all the other goodies ..

Launches were way too low rpm and / or not enough clutch slippage.
I learned on an H 1 back in the early 70's that had no bottom end and no nanny controls.
The Honda would need a lot of rpm and no mercy on the clutch.

Can someone explain why they are launching at 1800 rpm and not 5k ? Will it rip the bike out ? Will it destroy the clutch ? Will it break traction and not get it back ? Will the ecu just cut all power ? ???????

i thought maybe it was abs or traction control stopping it from launching. but damn i love seeing her rip down the strip. hitting over 110 in 2nd gear. i’m stiff 😂😂 please and please leave her the way she is. so magnificent. and also please stop hitting the bikes with hammers and rubber mallets. my heart is hurting everytime i see that
