Looks like a good and easy recipe. I would add a little turmeric and garlic powder to the spices. Another recipe added a couple tablespoons of ketchup too. That might add a little something in the background.

MORA Rivera Mac and cheese does get stickier as it cools. The liquids continue to get absorbed into the pasta. Maybe try the lower cooking time of 3 minutes for more al dente pasta. But, I am afraid it is the nature of the beast.
