Agree, he should have at least had a bipod stick to hold the front of the shotgun in line.

Most shotguns are horrible when it comes to aiming or getting on target. They are designed for the person to hold low and get a full view of their target. This makes it very difficult where to aim on flying birds, especially ducks and geese moving at all kinds of angles. I put the front sight from a Truglo Tru-Bead set on my Maxus because of it. Now I just aim dead on or lead a few inches and shoot because the bead is dead on at 35 yards out to 60.

one thing he's showing is just how bad shotgun barrels are when it comes to aiming. Most shoot high, and some shoot very high like the SBE's, SX4's, and Maxus, just to name a few.

Can you shoot steel shots on all modern shotguns. Specifically a stevens 320 field grade

Yes but not all choke tubes

Any of those are great for home defense as well. Especially if you are worried about over penetration through walls.

Steelshot barely kills a duck I wouldn't want to shoot a person with it

Should have used a sled also a Full choke would have been a better option. Standing position is the worst to try and pattern a gun.

No doubt full chokes do better with steel shot.

If your point of aim is 5 inches low to shoot somewhere in the middle of your target it’s probably your choke.
