- The Ford GT has a long lineage in the Gran Turismo series, especially in racing form, so this 2018 V6 based model is a natural progression of the model to bring to GT7. I like a lot this car. It was in my wish list for Gran Turismo Sport, since it was in Project Cars 2 but that game is unfortunately very unplayable with controller. This car is iconic, as you said, because is the car that defeated Ferrari again during the 24 hrs of Le Mans, 50 years later their duel in 1966. I wish we had a Ferrari 488 GTE to go against it, but I think Polyphony is not in the business of getting the latest cars to the game (unless they are Japanese, I guess).
It's one of my favorites but I wish it sounded better Grid has an amazing sound for the car
I have difficulty with this car when it comes to some cornering, it's too easy to kick out the back
doesn't seem very realistic. wish they would lower that but other than it kicking out the back it's good
I suppose a soft fix for it would be lowering the front camber, so that the front tires don't outgrip the rear as much during a turn

This car and the 911 RSR are unrealistically slow in GT7. In real life GTEs are a lot faster than GT3s around any track.
Yea in world touring car missions they are almost always 18th and 19th
For Sure, GTE cars are a Class above GT3 cars. But, since GT doesnt have a GTE class, I can see them just saying screw it and nerfing it spec wise so it could fit in their Gr.3 line-up. As for the Porsche, Im pretty sure its based off the GT3 variant and not the GTE, so its a different case. But, I do agree it should be a better car overall in GT7. The 911 RSR was always a well rounded Gr.3 car in GT:Sport and if you drove well enough you could win in most circuits.
@@d3tach3d the Porsche in the game is the GTE car because the GT3 car is rear engined and he RSR is mid engined. They just screwed up, probably deliberately nerfed the things as you suspect.

I believe it's higher price tag is due to it being an iconic le mans winner and not because of its status in the series as a whole. The Toyota gr010 is 3 million instead of 1 million because of this too I'm guessing.

While the ‘05-‘06 is the perfect representation of the MkI GT40 I view the ‘17-‘22 is the modern day J car that the MkIV was aiming for. A pure race target car that was made to win.
One weird pp point difference ifound is that my R92CP is now in the 800pp area, aka (but not considered to be) Gr.2!
Contemplated this1, but finally chose the Corvette, because I got it with a pre-order bonus & it was yellow 😀 1m credits was quite a lot after games release, when Polyphony fucked around with eliminating money grinding methods. So yea, devs greed & incompetence pretty much killed this1 for me 😉

I agree. I find that the Gr.3 Nissan GTR GT500 in the game sounds a lot more like the Ford GT GTE in real life than the Ford GTE. The car is such an icon but Polyphony managed to screw it up.

I never really clicked with the ford GTE race car i have tried it many times in racing sims but never could gel with it . it's beautiful looking and a iconic livery tho .

I was getting dominated by this car at the Daytona 10 lap race in gt7. Decided to get it for myself because of it and it just can’t keep up, not even with boost. Couldn’t even turn properly at first but got that taken care of. Perhaps it’s just that race.
I'd really like to know if in terms of raw performance the GT Race Car is any more advanced then you can built the street car. Maybe does the Race Car generate more downforce then the Street Car with any aftermarket parts
I enjoy driving this car quite a lot and kumakuma0314 has the best replica liveries for LeMans 2016 and 2019, while lone__stranger has the best version of the 2019 Daytona tribute liveries.
Man I'm telling you this car is a beast 789 horsepower yeah that's alot of horsepower Ford sure does know how to make sports cars and turn it into muscle sports cars at least it's not Italian made but I do like Ferrari too but I'm just saying thankfully it's not Italian made
1st of all great video. I've been testing and driving this car from moment of the game release date and I was able to two Inquire enough money to purchase the car. The launch of the game physics give Ford GT Off trottle oversteer feeling. Once they updated the physics the 1st time that only amplified by 3 and made it impossible to drive.. True at all and the manufacturers I tried my best to deal with this car. Once the last physics update came into play then this car became drivable and the overstair was more predictable and easy to handle. That was until I tried this car in the rain. Never again. True it all I'm a big Ford GT. Next manufacturer preseason I'm considering giving the Ford a shoot again. It's a shame this car is not in GTLM class but I hope the partnership with IMSA can make this category possible in the near future.

The high price for the GT LM is real. It is an GTE car and not a GT3, this class literally died irl because of the way higher prices compare to GT3. And by the way, GTE is kinda slower as proper GT3 cars.
I have played with this car in Sport but not in 7
It’s a great looking car. Never use it. There are too many better cars in the group. The Lexus and Hondas blow it away. But I may have another look at it
